Thanks, yes it's working itself out.

I'm so sorry that I haven't been around a lot more. Now that I exercise in the mornings, I'm running to get ready for work then once I get here it's busy. Still at work now but will be leaving in a bit. Have a good evening if I don't come back on tonight.

Hey Jen

I didn't sleep well last night, no exercise this morning. I did weigh and am 174 even. No major weight loss since last weigh in but my clothes are fitting a lot better. I think adding in exercise has halted the scale from moving but it will move eventually. I miss the 160's but I know it will move down eventually.

Exactly Shari!! The exercise is doing so many good things for you and all of us, that the scale will not show. I know it is just a number, but I also miss my lowest weights.. oh well.. WE WILL turn it around and get there. For now, the movement, exercise is so much better for us!

It is a bit frustrating that exercise seems to slow the weight loss shown on the scale (I've posted about this myself), but the difference in your clothes is a good thing to stay focused on!

I need to try working out in the mornings again...I am just such a zombie in the a.m. LOL! It did seem to help me feel more energized, if I remember...

Yes, it is frustrating. I so want to see the scale move down as well. But, not as badly as I want to get back into my clothes from a year ago...Keep up the good fight. You are worth it!!!

Good morning, I've been spending the weekends with G (boys are out of town with grands) so I haven't had a lot of time to post. Yesterday we ran steps at a college stadium and walked around the 'track' a few times. Boy, am I feeling it today! It was really great to workout together, we plan to do this on Sundays as a means to get healthier together. I had wine on Saturday so I know that's affecting some weight loss but I'll be strict this week. Getting ready to do my Zumba...I'll come back in when I get to work.

Unfortunately I haven't exercised since Monday...not good and I can definitely feel the difference. A lot has been going on between work and personal stuff (not bad, just busy) so it's kinda taken my primary focus off of eating right and exercising. I will do better today and resume exercising tomorrow. I have to see my doc for a follow up, I'd hoped to be smaller for weigh in than my last visit but not this time. Plus I ate very late last night so I'm sure the scale will not be pretty, doesn't it always work this way? Will try to come back later...ttyl.

Totally agree with Deb! She is so wise. I miss you too, lady. Try to check in often if you are able. This board has been a miracle worker for me due to the support. When I step away too long; I find myself very alone and begin to sabotage myself. Scales are for sissys! Lol!!

Hey, Shari! Love to see that G. works out with you...that's awesome! I have thought about doing stairs at a track -- good workout, I hear!

I haven't worked out since last Friday morning, so I'm making sure I take my booty tonight after work! I really don't mind working out that much: it's more so the "thought" of going that bothers me. Weird, huh? Lol.

Hi everyone! I've been MIA...not intentional. The boys are with their grands for the next couple of weeks and I've been taking full advantage, spending a lot of time with G. It has hampered my progress though as I've been eating all over the place on the weekends. I won't touch the scale until probably next week! I exercised yesterday but not today. I will definitely get up and moving tomorrow, striving to do the best and not giving up. Probably won't be back on until later tonight or tomorrow so I'll visit journals then.

Hi ladies, I was only able to post in a couple journals on Saturday before I got too busy to post in others, including mine LOL. My weekend was great...in all aspects but I really, really need cut back on the 'bad' food I've been eating. I can tell I've gained weight again as it's showing again in my clothes...I don't even need to get on the scale for that wake up call. So back to eating healthier and exercising again. I know coming here really helps to keep me accountable so I can't allow myself to go MIA for days in a row.

Ok Shari, there is no BAD FOOD... Well I know what you mean though, food that does not do our body good and I agree! Why does it have to taste so good ????

Exactly this! It's food that makes me more groggy, heavier and not as energetic as before. When I usually eat this type of food, healthier food is out of the window. I'm not at a place yet where I can do more healthier food with minimal unhealthy food..it's like an all or nothing mentality. That's why I'm here, right? To talk and journal about this...although I get tired at times of journaling about the same struggle over and over for years...

Braved the scale and it's what I'd expected and frankly deserve for the poor choices I've made. I'm not going to fret over it too much, I know it's time to clean house and get rid of the extra pounds. Tomorrow is my birthday but I don't want to celebrate eating unhealthy as I feel I've celebrated wayyy ahead of time! I can eat wings and a ceasar salad and be just as happy.

I'll visit other journals later, happy hump day!!

Happy early Birthday! It is so hard to believe another year has passed, wow! I hope you enjoy with your wings and ceasar.. that sounds awesome!! Perfect idea to purge the things that don't serve you well!! I so agree!

You just vent away in your journal, as much as you want and anything you want. This is where we can let go and it is very theraputic. Have a wonderful day!!!! you can do this!
