Thanks! I don't like taking pictures but this gave me a great idea to take 'before pics' now and then 'after pics' when I reach a certain mini-goal I have in mind. Hmm...

hey ladies! I've been super busy today and am just eating lunch but it'll serve as dinner too. I exercised using the treadmill for 32 min (was running late LOL), 1.7 miles. Short term goal is to do at least 20-30 min day then work my way up from there. hopefully the phones will stop ringing enough to let me finish lunch and post/visit other journals

First, Cle!! I meant to respond earlier and forgot. So glad to see you and I hope all is well with you too.

Today is walked/jogged using my C25K phone app on my treadmill while watching Extreme Weightloss..great show. I completed a little over 2miles...felt wonderful! Not weighing because TOM is quickly approaching and I can tell I'm a bit bloated but I'm eating well...so it's all good.

I picked up the Extreme Weight Loss trainer's book Choose to Lose from the library. One of the ladies here posted some great quotes from it, and it talks about carb cycling, so I'm interested to see what he says. Plus, Chris Powell is a cutie! LOL

Nice job with the workout! Happy "Friday Eve!"

TOM is here so no scale, although I can tell some of the bloat has left. I attacked a can of Lime 'n Chili almonds...made myself put it away as I could have easily eaten the whole can. Just finished two hamburger patties with queso blanco cheese so not sure if I'll want dinner tonight. I didn't do the best with my eating today...eating nuts is not the most nutritional breakfast but it's great protein.

did interval training and boy am I out of shape. Felt like jelly afterward...but my mood has definitely improved and I'm feeling better about myself.

Woohoo!! Good for you for listening to your body and putting away the can. There is absolutely nothing wrong with almonds. I am so excited that you are doing the C25k. I want to start so bad, but I'm holding myself back a few weeks to get into exercise. I have to take baby steps. I'm older and a lot heavier than I've ever been

Morning! I'm not weighing either b/c TOM is visiting me as well...woo friggin' hoo! lol.

Good job on the interval workout! I felt like crap Wednesday during my workout, but afterwards I felt endorphins rushing through my body. I think that's what gets me back in the gym.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! *insert booty dance*

Thanks for the support ladies

I exercised using the Zumba youtube video again. It really doesn't feel like I'm exercising but before I know it, 20 minutes has passed and I'm sweating up a storm. I did a little over 30 minutes today (the video is 50-something minutes). TOM is leaving, thankfully so I braved the scale. I'm back into the lower 170's (barely ) but at least it's going down. I feel so motivated right now to keep going..you all support me here and G support me IRL.

Wonderful job Shari!! I am finding just doing SOME kind of movement everyday is making a huge difference in my energy and outlook!! I know as each day passes and you do anything at all to move it will become a habit that we won't want to give up!!.. EXCITED!!!

I think Deb made a good point -- I need to work on doing this myself. Getting "active" in some form, even if it's 20 minutes, would probably add up to a big difference in how I feel.

Hope your Monday is off to a good start! I'm still waiting to be fully awake and feeling human...lol.

Shari! Your youtube videos make me excited. I want to do more now that I started walking to work. I'm not even sore. I thought I would be, but I'm not. That in itself is motivating me. i do not like being too sore that I'm not able to walk. I get so stiff though after exercise. Hopefully, that will go away or may be my body saying it does not like to be still.

YW, hopefully this will work out with you new schedule. I'd love to find a class that offers it but for now this works and gives me motivation to keep trying it. I want to get all the dance moves down LOL

Me too! I can tell a huge difference already. I tell myself that as long as I do at least 20 minutes/day, I'm improving my mood and health. I didn't do anything yesterday and actually missed it which lets me know it's becoming part of my routine again.
