Hi Shari! Good morning! I never thought about it that way. There are many times that I feel empty yet not hungry. It is very difficult to get used to, but it gives a mental clarity once you get through the fog. I work best when my head is clear. You are doing fantastic. 2.6 LBS is AMAZING!!

So how was day 2? Are you finding it harder this time? I am still feeling hunger, and I don't like that!!!

We can get through this though, one day at a time. Heck one hour a time right now...

Enjoy your weekend Shari!

I was hungrier yesterday than day 1 but I had an extra fruit to help. For some reason I'm not grabbing the water instead like I did in other rounds but as I'm typing I'm cold, which is a usual side effect of doing this...so that's probably the answer. Yup, that's why I said I'm going to work it the best I can so I'm having extra protein today.

Hey Jen! Work keeps pulling me away as I post in one journal and can't finish others.

Ok, I'm down 1.6 today, sitting at 176.6. I don't know if it's all in my mind or not or maybe very wishful thinking but my clothes feel better already. I know it burns fat but not this fast!! Either way, I feel better already and will tweak it as much as needed so I can continue.

Congratulations!!! I am so ready to see my numbers. It keeps me so motivated. I'm at 500 cals so far and feel great. You must let me know how your menus look. I try to keep under 50 carbs, but allow 100 as I'm easing into this...not going to stress anymore

Thanks Jen! I really went overboard yesterday (from Omaha menu)...I was overly hungry (?) so I had a lot more protein...like my 'allowed' 7 oz of protein with a salad for lunch then a chicken breast and leg for dinner. I had grapefruit as my fruit for the day. Fortunately the extra protein did not damage my losses, I'm down 1.8lbs to 174.6.

This weekend will be challenging due to going out and having other stuff to do so I'm going to do what I did yesterday if I need to. I'd rather 'cheat' with extra protein than go totally off the rails eating other stuff.

Gotta run to take my car to the shop, fun, I will BBL. Hope you all have a great Saturday!

That is wonderful Shari!! congrats!!! I agree with you, I would rather have extra protein than just throw in the towel.

Good luck today with all you have to do, and staying true to the real reason we are doing this! To get HEALTHY for the long run.. you can do it!!

Stayed over bf's house so no scale today. I ate more protein yesterday with a salad and WF Honey Mustard dressing, no fruit. So far, it's still going good.

Excellent!!! Extra protein is not a bad thing, and if it helps you get through, all the better! Is that WF honey mustard dressing good? I have tried most of them, but not that one yet. I love the fact they have no carbs/cals/anything..

I had a glass of wine last night in place of a fruit, but it was harder to drink one glass than to just have none...

Have a wonderful day Shari!

I think eating extra protein if hungry is a great strategy!

Hope your week has started well -- looking forward to the holiday!

It's ok, of course not as good as the 'real thing'. I can eat it as long as it's on a salad but not separate, like as a dip. Hope you had a wonderful day too!

Yes, and it works! It's a rogue kind of plan but whatever works, right?

Hey Julie! I totally understand. I'm not following Omaha strictly because I have to tweak it to work for me. I know, I had to do something to get the scale moving down again...I was so tired of being stuck. Hope you feel better

I had a gain of 0.6 yesterday because I didn't do so well on Sunday. Yesterday I just had a lot of protein and large salad with higher fat dressing and had a loss of 2.2lbs, 173 even today. I'm so looking forward to getting back into the 160's. TOM is coming by next week..so the scale may not keep showing a loss due to PMS. My water intake has not been good at all, I get only about 32oz/day. I'm going to work on getting in more...always showed better losses when I'm more hydrated and drinking at least 64oz water.

Good morning Shari! I too need to get better with drinking my water. I've noticed that I am not freezing this time on HHCG. I wonder if it's because I'm a lot fatter

Good morning, Shari! Hope today is not as busy as yesterday! People were getting on my last nerve this morning as soon as I got here (lol), but it's slowed down now.

I, too, need to drink more water. Thanks for the reminder.

Busy day at work again, never fails when it's a short work week or right before vacation but overall it's all good. Scale stayed the same today as I ate a lot more in cals yesterday. Since starting a week ago, I've lost 7.4lbs eating rogue + eating one of those days off plan. Can't complain

Heaven help me tomorrow though...going out to eat and I know it will be a lot tempting stuff. I'm talking to myself now to behave!!

Quick update: didn't do well over the holiday or this weekend. I was going through some personal stuff and just didn't have the mental energy to 'diet' too. Not good, but it's reality. Right now I'm better in that area but I don't know what to do and I'm sooo tired of changing plans, tweaking plans, setting new goals and then failing. I know I can't continue to do what I'm doing and expect to succeed. I'm going to begin exercising today to help relieve some stress...definitely overdue. I'll post more later, gotta go if I want to get to work on time.

I feel exactly the same way Shari. I found this blog and have been reading about it all weekend. There is so much to it. Just something to think about. Check out 180degreehealth. It is giving me a whole new persective on DIEting.

Have the best day you can and remember to love YOU!!!

Shari, I think we all have to find a way to make "healthier" choices most of the time, but still allow ourselves things we enjoy as well (especially on weekends). I guess the hard part for most of us is learning how to regulate the stuff we really like...lol.

Keep your head up!
