IMO, the key to success with protocol (and life! lol) is in knowing yourself. With hcg, it helps to know what your weaknesses are so you can try to avoid them. For me, it was restarting p2 after a p3/p4 so I tried to make my p2's longer. Oh, and another thing for me was holidays. I tried my best to plan the p2's around them so I wouldn't have to interrupt or be tempted to cheat. Whatever works, kwim? Good luck, Shari! You are doing great, my friend!

Brenda, you're sooo much better than me LOL. I did a long P2 round once and that was only after prompting and encouragement from a former poster (Tamika) because it was adviced to not end P2 during TOM. I made it into the 150's but geesh it was long. Your dedication and persistance amazes me...truly, you are the poster child for P2 and how great it works if you follow it correctly and honor the phases.

This weekend wasn't the best. It didn't help that I wasn't expecting TOM this soon so I was very hungry Friday and couldn't figure out why. I thought the juice was going bad..lol, so I ate 100 cal popcorn and 2 cups of diet cocoa very late..no weigh in on Saturday cause I always show a gain when I eat too late. Saturday was a bust... yesterday I ate clean... weighed this morning, up two pounds. I've been really craving fat..dreaming of a juicy cheeseburger, wings and for some reason philly cheesesteak over lettuce. I'd considered going longer but at this point I don't think I can. I don't want to cheat cause of increased cravings so I'm giving it my best until Sunday when I can eat P3!!

I feel so bloated..need to drink a lot of water and tea today to feel better.

Shari as you can see I am back. Sorry TOM showed up and is wrecking(sp?) havoc on your plans. Stopped my round yesterday because of TOM so I wouldn't cheat also. Hang in there if you can, sooo proud of you!

TOM is bad enough by itself, but add hcg and the hunger is just crazy. At least for me. Hang in there and feel better, Shari!

My goodness, I was thinking of doing the same thing..just don't want to end it on a higher number than Friday but the cravings are bad. Thanks for your support....I miss your posts and am glad to see you're back.

Good morning ladies, sorry I was gone for a couple days but TOM really threw a monkey wrench in my plans, mood and I just felt miserable...ugh. I've learned from the past it's just better to not post when I'm like that...LOL. It seems it has really gotten worse over the years. So I stopped hhcg as I felt I was just wasting 'the precious' LOL until I'm in a better mindset. I'm now just kinda maintaining but want to continue pressing on now that TOM is leaving. I need a break from hhcg as mentally I lost that in the zone mindset but once I'm ready again, I'll be back on. I'm not giving up! I was reading on another site where some people are cycling on hhcg...something like staying on for two weeks then going to P3 (can't remember how long) then going back on P2. I skimmed over it briefly so don't quote me...but I'm going to check it out when I have time.

Gotta run...I'll be back when I get to work. Happy Thursday!!

I personally think that is a great idea.... you are doing what is best for you and that is wonderful!!

If you are not in that ZONE, in my opinion, it just does not work, and is not worth it... Go Shari!!!...

Hey Shari, always do what is best for you. I know on the HHcg Protocol the inches lost and the weight is AWESOME!!!! I was biting the bullet and eagar to start but my R2 was somewhat not what I expected. TOM is awful for me and I am defintiely going through peri-menapause but I am also aware that I can gain very easily so doing a round was what I needed. You know what you can handle and btw we are NOT all about losing this weight. We are NOT just a number on the scale we have our ups and downs with losing this weight. Went to Zumba class again today and MY back fat was flapping again. UGHH!!!! I need to wear 2 sports bras for my girls to stay in place, hey how come Hhcg didn't take away more inches from my girls?

You have a fantastic day lady!

Hhcg is awesome!! I'm glad I did it cause it put me back into the 160's, in my comfortable but smaller clothes and yes the inches were lost!! I'm not back to my original goal of 163 but I'm holding where I want/need to be none the less. You're right though, we are more than just a number..why can't I get that through this noggin though?

Haha regarding ZUMBA..first of all, congrats on exercising. Second, I agree that I wish we could dictate exactly where we want the fat off first. I alway lose up top...girls, waist, back fat first then the bottom is last. My most fatty areas are hip, butt, thighs...it doesn't want to budge! Oh well...maybe one day. Hope you have a fantastic day as well

I just can't stop laughing about the bolded part though...

I have NO problems like that... I have nothing to bounce around up top.. but my lower half jiggles like no other!

I do have something up top..but it's the first to shrink. I can't even begin to explain what weight loss and breast feeding has done to the girls when I take off the support.

Hi ladies, quick drive by as I just realised I haven't been here all day. I've been swamped at work and the boys started school today. My biggest 'baby' started middle school...6th grade. Where does the time go? He went to an End-of-Summer party for just the 6-8th graders on Saturday...it was too funny.

Eating wise I've just been trying to just maintain for now. Taking it day by day...seeing which way the wind blows. I don't know if that's good or bad.

Happy Monday and if I'm not able to get back on..I'll hopefully have more time tomorrow. Love ya much!

I can't imagine..high school?! Stop the show!!! If only..I remember the days of holding them in my arms and that wonderful newborn baby smell..so clean and fresh. Ha!..now it's stinky arm pits and threats on lives to get in the shower!! I love our time together and try to not let the day to day stuff get in the way of treasuring these moments.
