Good morning ladies, thanks for checking up on me. I decided to take a break from focusing totally on just 'dieting'. I'm working on resetting the mind to making low(er) carb and adding more protein a lifestyle change. It's taking time, but eventually it will all come together. I gave M Protein Power to read as he have many of the issues addressed in the book. He's been doing it for 3 weeks and his glucose levels have dropped so significantly, he doesn't need his medication for fear it would drop too low! Dr. Eades said it would happen, and it did! But it's essentially the same as Atkins but you can have higher carbs..up to 30.

G and I may be able to go to Myrtle Beach in a couple weeks...we both need a well overdue break.

LOL, regarding the A/C, a mechanic in Richmond tried to fix it using a cheaper method and I was so happy that it worked...for only 4 days. So now I do have to get the whole she-bang to get it running again. Hopefully soon!

Meek~we were blessed that our power was out for less than a day. I've been hosting since then though because many other people's electricity is still out. They are saying by Friday and people are raging mad!! In this weather, to be without A/C for a week is really trying... Glad you all are safe.

I've got to run but I'll be back to visit other journals and see how everyone is doing. Happy 4th if I don't make it back in by tomorrow.

Thanks hun! We are more than likely heading down to Myrtle Beach too so I can't wait to hear how your vacation went. I've been down there a couple of times but now it's been awhile. Miss you too!

Well, nothing new to report. Still doing lower carbs but haven't weighed in days so I have no idea what I weigh now. Still doing some thinking and planning...knowing it will all come together. Thanks for the ongoing support and love.

Good Thursday morning to you Shari! Deb is right we are never all on the same page at the same time when it comes to being ready to get some poundage off. I know for me my ultimate goal would be to rid myself of 100 pounds but truly I won't lose any sleep over it if I don't accomplish it. I know getting below the 200 pound mark kept me focused and I am happy about that. Right now just concentrating on getting in some good exercise and then I will be ready to get going with the weightloss thing. I think we are our worst critics and we need to STOP being so hard on ourselves. Have the best day you could have today Shari.

Good morning ladies Pls forgive any typos as Im typing from phone...home comp not working and Im on vacation. G and I went to Myrtle Beach last week and had a blast! Now doing damage control through lc....not touching the scale for a few days..lol. Its hard to post in everyones journal using the phone so not able to individually say "hi" but it looks like everyone is doing good. I was taking a break from being weight-obsessed...but miss you all...will be back soon. Luv you all *hugs*

Wow....taking a break was great mentally but it was not great physically. I braved the scale and am the highest I've been since two years ago! I'm up 13lbs from my "stable" weight and can't take it any more. lI pretty much vacationed for two months..lol. I've been debating on what plan of action I want to take and nothing compares to body change and weight loss from hcg. I'm starting Omaha today and am glad to see others are doing this too I still dont have comp at home so I am using cell phone...pls forgive any typos. I will try to get to journals at work....a lot I want to say to you all but it's harder to respond via cell phone. ttyl

So happy to hear from you Shari!!! As YOU know Omaha works!!! I finished my round pretty effortlessly except for boredom Omaha has much LESS boredom than Simeons, but when the GOAL is to get weight off FAST, there really is no alternative to HCG, IMHO!

We sure missed you, and totally understand your need to take time off, glad you are back though! I also can't respond much from my phone, so update when you can! HAPPY YOU ARE BACK!!!

Thanks everyone! I really missed you all. I had to get to a point where I'm really ready to do something and stop BSing around, you know? I pretty much hovered between 168-176 while I was away then went on vacation and it all went to hell! Since then, I've been back and forth from low carb to JUDDD but nothing stuck. I prayed, soul-searched and finally believe I'm ready to let the 'extra' load go....I mean mentally and physically. I envision myself at goal and it looks darn good...now to get there will take about 2-3 rounds. We are planning to take the boys on a cruise in December and I want to feel good in my bathing suit and not feel embarrassed to play with them in the waterworks area. So I have motivation, taking it one day at a time. I don't know how long I will go...I know I tend to get bored after one week so I need to prepare now. Hopefully I can get a laptop this weekend and view Robin's videos during my spare time...which is when I'm tempted to eat off plan. For some reason, I've developed a horrible habit of wanting to be full prior to bedtime and have been eating really late at night...as you can figure it wasn't veggies I was snacking on...

I know how you feel. All the work I did to get to 170's-180's only to gain it back. I am less stressful these days and so far I have been pretty stable mentally.
