Anyway, I totally agree with Robin. Girl, half the time when I'm eating junk, I'm so engaged that I don't think about anything but the taste! Then later when I start feeling all these weird pains, I get scared!! Poor me. I agree with you too. We need to become more concious about what we eat and our health. One day at a time We'll get there.

Last night I was so hungry for something sweet. I ended up making 3 eggs scrambled in butter and topped with a little cheese. That sure hit the spot! And two pounds were gone this morning

I know it won't always be easy, but we must FIGHT!!! Our health matters. Carbs aren't forbidden forever. They'll always be there and I can enjoy small amounts later down the line, but just not now... carbs in moderation .

I'm sorry for the long post

Have a good day.
I LOVE IT!! thank you for your post today, needed it!! You are 100% right!! I love how you conquered the carb sweet monster last night, perfect and congrats on those 2 pounds gone!!!

I also need to practice being in the moment with food, yet thinking ahead. No mindless eating anymore.. it got me to where I was, and still am in a way. One step at a time is so right! Eggs in butter sounds really good, and what a treat to fight the sweet tooth. I will have to remember that one!

Have a wonderful day and keep doing what you are doing!!..

I did very well with the Thanksgiving lunch. Did NOT overeat, in fact, I had no hunger, and didn't feel like eating much at all. It was WIERD.....

I love these supplements SO MUCH! I just cannot get over the lack of hunger I have these days.. amazing. Last year I ate so much at this event plus brought back more to my desk.. this year. MEH.. don't care about the food..

I think I am going to wake up from this dream at some point, but I hope not until I have been firmly at goal for a long time........

It is funny, because I wanted some pumpkin pie, but know I can't make a good one without sugar and crust and all that...

So I mixed a can of pumpkin with 2 packages of cream cheese, some heavy cream, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, sweetner of choice, Vanilla sugar free pudding mix... ( not much just enough to give it some substance ) and whipped the heck out of it with my mixer.

THIS MAKES A LOT!!! you could cut it in half and still have lots..

It came out a big fluffy mousse type pumpkin dessert. REALLY RICH AND REALLY GOOD. Then I whipped up some whipping cream with some sweetner and put that on top... OMG.. this will last in my tummy forever...

OMG! DEB! You need to STOP THE MADNESS! That pumpkin mousse sounds so freakin amazing! I'm going to try this when I get the desire for something sweet. Thanks for sharing!!!

My husband asked me this morning if I was going to bake sweet potatoe pies this Thanksgiving? I told him NO, because I honestly don't have a taste for them . Maybe I'll make this for him instead.... hmmmmm.

Hey Deb!! Sounds like your having a good day. OMG! I know what you mean. It does feel strange not wanting to eat all the time. One day, I found myself eating because that is what I was so use to doing, but I wasn't even hungry!! If I can't just let go off all my bad habits, I'll be fine... cause truly the hunger is NOT there!! This is so strange . I am going through so many emotions during this journey in regards to food and losing weight. When I find the right words, I will share...

Have a good weekend.

I found this very interesting!! I am glad I am taking both supplements, I feel like I can go an entire day without food and not suffer one bit. AS LONG as I have extra fat on my body, I have no worries about starving...

Of course I don't go all day without eating something, I have bad habits to fix and I am working on it. The lack of any kind of appetite makes it so much easier.. So happy Meek told us about this, I have been searching for years for something to take away my hunger without jittery side effects etc.. SO GRATEFUL!!!! Thank you again MEEK!!!

"Scientists have discovered a plant extract related to resveratrol that mimics many of the beneficial effects of caloric restriction. This natural compound favorably regulates genes involved in the development of cancer, atherosclerosis, diabetes, and the system-wide inflammation that underlies a variety of age-related disorders.

Pterostilbene (terro-STILL-bean), found in blueberries, grapes, and in the bark of the Indian Kino Tree, has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. Pterostilbene and resveratrol are both stilbene compounds, closely related structurally, which gives them similar but not identical functions. Researchers have found that these two compounds work in a synergistic fashion to activate one’s “longevity genes.”

Pterostilbene produces its beneficial effects on gene expression in ways that enhance those produced by resveratrol. That is why pterostilbene functions particularly well when combined with resveratrol".

Not much to report. I work ONE DAY THIS WEEK and that is today!!!!

I really really need a vacation and mental break from my YEAR FROM HELL..... I swear I have been tested and twisted and mentally drained this year...

I have mixed feelings about this because I have learned so much this year, but I have also lost a lot. My Dad. It makes me sad to think that the last time he was at my house was a year ago Thanksgiving.

My Mom's accident, and all the mental struggles that went with that... oh lord I have learned alot...

So this week my Mom is traveling with my sister down to my Nephew's wedding in Houston. They are driving........ This is a 16 hour drive that they will make in 2 days. She is so worried about things like the raised toilet seat she has to use... will she be able to use regular potties?... Little things that are important to her.

The wedding is at a Renaissance Faire. Out in the middle of a field... Ok, my Nephew is a little strange.... Anyway, she is worried about walking around there... where will she rest, sit, etc. I don't blame her one bit on these worries with her surgery and her still recovering..

I talked to her this morning, and she is a mess.. Missing Dad.. worrying about the trip.. and all I could do was reassure her, that it will be ok.. Will it? Of course.. one day at a time.. I just am going to hand this worry over ...

I am going to free MYSELF from worry this week, and hand Mom and all her concerns and cares to my sisters for awhile.. I feel like I have taken so much over in her care that is is OK to let them handle this week...

Whew.... said more than i meant to!.. anyway. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and week ahead!!! I am on a mental BREAK!!!

Great Morning, Deb!!

I think it's great that you decided to take a mental break for yourself - and allow your other siblings to step in and help with mom. I know this time of year is hard. I will pray that the Lord gives you comfort and strength during this difficult time .

Enjoy your rest, sweetie! .

This is my mental health week, and I am going to just do it. I decided last night to do Atkins Induction TYPE eating.. Not strict as all that, but closer to real whole foods.. Meat and veges.. fat.. fresh foods...

Will have my turkey day with plenty of fresh veggies. cooked veges.. TURKEY!!! with crispy skin!!.. That will be enough and fine for me..

I am trying to break the sweet tooth, and hoping this 6 days at home will help.

On a downer note though, my dear friend that has kidney cancer had another scan and was given bad news.. She now has another cancer to join her kidney cancer, and it has invaded the outside of her lungs..

I am so devasted for her and her husband. He has already buried one wife, and now she is saying the dr does not give her much more time.. I am going over this week to spend some time with her but wow.. I just can't take too much more bad news.. HOWEVER, praying for her and peace in her heart.

I KNOW, that she will be fine however this turns out. By saying that, I know since my father passed, that I have seen him many times in my dreams and he tells me he is fine. I feel peace about that. I also feel peace about my friend. I pray that she will also feel this peace..

So today, I am grateful for this day, and good health. I have seen too much of the other side. Must stay healthy, and this is my path.

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY ALL!!!..

Oh my, that is so sad Hopefully the doctors will be able to keep her comfortable and pain free in the next weeks. A girl that graduated with my DH was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in April and is now at the end of her illness. She's 42 years old - so sad. She updates on Facebook and is so courageous. I pray for peace for both of them.

Thanks Gracie, I also hope she is kept comfortable and pain free. I will do whatever I can to help her out with good memories. I will add a prayer for your DH's friend.. Cancer sucks.. They are both too young to go..

Hi Deb. I am so sorry to hear you friend has been stricken with cancer. My heart goes out to you, your friend, and her family. Please be encouraged during this time.

Also, what brand of resveratrol are you taking? Any headaches? Are the caps the same size as the ptero?

Thanks. Have a great evening!

Thanks Meek, trying to think positive about all things this week...

I am taking Natrol brand of the resveratrol. No headaches or any kind of problems so far. The caps are much bigger than the ptero for sure, but don't bother me. I take 2 of those and 1 Ptero every morning... works like a charm for me!!!

The resveratrol is less than half the price of the ptero. So I felt like I could try them together without going broke!

Have a wonderful evening also!

Oh Deb, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. My prayers for her, her family and you all..her close friends. I pray she has peace and as less pain as possible...cancer is horrible. Gracie, prayers for your friend too.

Deb, hope you're able to get the mental health break you so need. Glad to hear you're letting others step in and help with your mom. I know this has to be a difficult time for you all with memories of your father..he's with you in spirit, always.

Thanks for the info about the supplements...it's truly the head hunger of wanting to eat other stuff, not actual hunger, that's the challenge. Oh well, guess we're learning now how to make better choices mentally.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving if I don't get to come back here before then.
