Chix and Cabbage

DD day went well! I had waffles for breakfast and I made the cabbage and chix recipe I got from the DD porn forum. I added mushrooms and French onion LC cheese. Turned out really well!! I only ate 1/4 of the recipe because my tummy got full!

Hey JG!! Happy to see you back girl! I luv sweet potatoes also!! I can't get enough. I have one just about every UD!! Cop those waffles!! They were the bomb.com! When I did weight watchers (many moons ago) I used to eat them then also. I just forgot they existed! They have a whole wheat version also but I believe they have a little more cals.

Good Morning Lyn!! It was yummo and very simple to prepare. I got the recipe from the DD food porn thread in the JUDDD forum.

1 head of cabbage (approx 1lb)
2 cubes of laughing cow cheese (I used French onion)
about 4 ozs tenderloin chicken breast
scallions
splash of chicken broth
salt and pepper

In a pan I sauteed a clove of garlic until fragrant then tossed in the cabbage. I cooked the cabbage and scallions down but not to mush. Removed the cabbage then added chicken. I cooked the chicken until done then added the LC cheese and broth. Simmer until the cheese is melted then tossed the mixture with the cabbage. I also added a few sprinkles of red pepper flakes because I like it hot!

Good day Peeps!

I weighed in today at the same as the last time I weighed. I am not disappointed. This is my first week and basically a trial period to find my base. It has really been a good first week. Barely any adjustment at all except on DDs. Adjusting wasn't that difficult if you get your mind right first. With that being said I think if I kept my cals the same and continue to sit on my butt I will just maintain the weight I am right now.I mean I have enjoyed some good foods that I was never able to enjoy on LC without gaining. So I really can't complain. What I do know and have always known even while on LC in order for me to see great losses I need to get moving. Anytime I have stepped up my workout game the pounds just fell off! So going forward I am going to lower my cals on UDs from 1877 to 1700 and leave the DDs at 500. Also I am getting back to my Zumba and weight lifting.


Whew...now that I got that out...Zumba is today at 1pm! I'm excited!!

I've decided to only try and weigh once a week so I don't see those ugly fluctuations that don't mean anything! Even if I stay the same I will be content because I am EATING every other day to my heart's content! Then on my DDs I am eating waffles, hot dogs, oatmeal - who could complain?

I need to get that laughing cow cheese!!!!

WTG Marl! Yup, I need to dust off my treadmill and start using OnDemand more..that yoga was so relaxing...but work too! I want to try Zumba...need to look more into that..

I feel...it's long past time for me to off my butt and get back in there. Funny thing is as much as I enjoy it I don't know why I stopped going!

Just coming thru to give support I'm doing JUDDD also.
That cabbage dish looks good! Have you tried the protein waffles by Eggo? I tried them this morning and they are pretty good taste like the regular eggos if you asked me.

I'm lovin JUDDD!!! Tacos in a homemade shell and sweet potato. I know they really don't go together but I looooovvvveee sweet potatoes I could honestly eat one every UD!! Oh and I am actually having 2 tacos.

PS if you're increasing you exercise, i don't think you need to lower you UD numbers. I'm saying that based on reading the book, not necessarily what the folks on the JUDDD board would say. Dr. Johnson emphasized the importance of eating on your up days, dieting every other day. he said some people will want to try and restrict even more on up days but that they don't have to. just my two cents, so if u have find ur self stuck with the lower numbers, you might try using the numbers he suggests along with ur exercise regime.

Busy Day!!

Today was a long day. It was a DD but I handled it well. For breakfast I had the eggo waffles w/ strawberries and whip cream. No lunch and for dinner I made the chicken and cabbage again but this time I used the chipotle queso LC cheese. I had a 1/2 portion of the dish. My hubby ate the other half. snacks was a few strawberries and Atkins chocolate protein shake. I went over about 50 cals...but no worries! Ciao!

I was thinking the same. I never really make it to 1877 anyway so I think I will leave the number the same. I need the cals especially on my Zumba days. We have a new instructor. My old instructor was wonderful and she got me in shape but this new chick is not playin! I don't know if my huffin and puffin was because I hadn't been in class in 3 months or because she was a BEAST!
