Need 2 Lose 2 Win :)

Well, I've tossed the idea about starting a journal for so long now that I finally bit the bullet and decided WHY NOT?! I figured if for nothing else, I'd at least be able to use it to track my ups and downs of my weight loss endeavor.

So here goes a little back story (in #s) just to show how I've progressed along:

September 2004 - Found Atkins. Started working out (weight lifting) and lots of cardio. Lost approximately 30 lbs. (I can't remember my weight tho).

July 2006 - Heaviest weight ever! Weighing in at exactly 250 lbs. I managed to let myself go so badly and I was just purely miserable.

From July 2006 through about 2010 - Managed to get down to about 225 lbs. My body was set there tho. Not that I was comfortable but I would lose about 10 lbs and gain back 10-12. I did this while supposedly "low carbing" yet cheating all along. So I was pretty stuck at 225.

2011 - I found hcg. Managed almost a full round. Failed. Back to Atkins.
Felt like a failure YET AGAIN!

Signed up for a "family" challenge at the end of last year and since, I have been slowly but surely losing the very much needed weight. I haven't really stuck to ONE protocol/type of diet/etc. The one consistent thing in my life right now is exercise.

Today I weighed in at 189.5 lbs. Not nowhere near where I would like to be but getting there. At the end of last year I was introduced to IF by accident. Work kept me extremely busy so I had no time to eat until the end of the day (4 PM). This combo'd with Atkins has done me well.

I have decided to try IFing while doing P2. So here I go!!!
Loaded this weekend and gained 4 lbs. Yesterday was VLCD1 and I woke up this morning to a 3 lb loss. The best part? Since I was IFing already I was not hungry and when it was time to eat, I had 7 oz of protein and veggies and I was so stuffed! (go figure ) ....

That's it in a nutshell (a very long nutshell! )

(BTW - A disclaimer: My dates/lbs may be off a bit)

Thanks! I guess we can be like the "twins" in the Schwarzenegger and Devito movie cuz I am short!!! I'm 5'2".

You must look REALLLLLY thin being the same weight I am and a whole 5" taller! SEXY STUFF I'M SURE!!!!

BTW - My smaller goal is 175. I would LOOOOVE to be that weight by end of March since I'll be flying to California for a wedding! Here's hoping!!!

I'm so glad you started a journal, now I can personally stalk you! Wow, you've done amazingly well..I didn't know your back story, what an accomplishment!! I've no doubt you'll be at first goal by the wedding in March.

LOL - I love that movie!!! My ultimate goal is 159 lbs. - my 40th birthday is in May and I would LOVE to be at least close to it. Probably not gonna happen but a girl can dream.

I don't measure. I have a HUGE cup every morning. I should measure tomorrow to see how much I actually consume.

I will have another in the evening (usually) but I didn't yesterday.

Hey Pati, I am here to cheer you on as well. We don't know each other but I have been reading your post in Shari's journal. Hope you don't mind Awesome release today Like Shari, I use 2 tbs of hwc or half-n-half daily. This allows me to have at least 2 cups of coffee......

You guys are wonderful sticking to protocol so well. I suppose the cream in my coffee is my one "rogue" part of the diet. I tried many many many times to give up the cream and no can do! Not even for 3 weeks! Me loves the cream

Wow, you are a losing machine, 5lbs in 2 days..congrats! I'm not certain how much or little fruit plays a part and if it matters if you eat it or not. I'd say stick to what works..if you don't want the fruit that is. If you want it, I'd say give it a try..I don't think it will stop the losses.

Awesome job Pati you are working this protocol as well. I don't know about the fruit thing either, I at least try to eat one fruit a day, and that's usually around noon. KUTGW!!!!

Oh I definitely eat my meals before Zumba. Usually, DH has my dinner ready as soon as I walk in the door (I'm sure he's just scared of me! He knows hungry me and she ain't purty )

I plan on going back to JUDDD eventually. I really liked it but my weight loss stopped and I actually was gaining. I know the cold meds were probably the culprit but I needed something to motivate me like the hcg! I may even JUDDD for P3 (without sugar/starch)

I did JUDDD and lost well a few weeks At the time I was doing JUDDD I ended up IFing by accident (around the holidays). I was sooooo busy at work I had no time to eat. I felt amazing not having to worry about food through the day so I kept up with it. I never gave JUDDD a true chance but I am right now soooooo stubborn and wanting the weight to melt off which is why I ended up with hhcg AGAIN!

I've juggled so many "WOEs" as of the last month to month and half. I think I maintained (at best) extremely well during the Holidays for a change. I normally gain ALOT!

*sigh* I tend to forget how difficult p2 is (boring food). But I am only on day 3. I must give this at best a full 2 weeks!
