Heeeeeeeeey! I am at the same point of multiple restarting and cheating and restarting and no water and restarting and....yea.

So you ask..>What else is new? My hair!
But I have curly hair that I hated at the salon and then went home and reworked and now I LOVE. I feel bad because I COMPLAINED to her. And she felt bad. Which made me tip her more...lol

I'm awful moody recently. Are you saying it could be CARBS??? Carbs and TOM make Hulk mad!!!! Hahahahaha!

How many tuts do you have? I'm throwing a holiday baazar with a few friends! Hopefully we have a nice turn out. I'll be baking something to sale. I may debut the chocolate bean cake minis!!! I'd have so many orders!

Peanut. Butter. Bean. Cake. SHUT UP! YUM!

I finally replaced my crock pot-- it broke several years back and never bothered to get a new one and just used my cast iron. However, we now have three nights a week where we are not home during our usual dinner hour (Son's swim team and basketball class) so we needed something ready to eat when we got home. Anyone have any awesome slow cooker ideas that can be low carb alone and paired with rice for my boys?

The cake is peanut butter flavored! Want to make and put PButter cream cheese icing on it! Or chocolate cream cheese...Reese's PButter cup style!

She replaced the black beans with garbonzo beans (I believe) and used powdered peanut butter instead of the cocoa! Yum!

Crock pot: roast beef and radishes. Can add carrots, pot.s, etc for non LCers.

mmmm thanks for the ideas!

I think if I were to make peanut butter bean cake thingy, I would use plain white beans and a gob of peanut butter. hmmmmm. I remembr back in the day we made yellow cake mix and threw in a cup of PB, omg that was good. I have to shut up. I DON'T HAVE ANY BEANS!

Hi Glam and friends. Just wanted to say that I have slip slided on plan so much over the last couple of years that I could win a figure skating championship. And have changed plans about 38563956 times. What I am trying to do this time that is different is NOT GIVE UP (which for me, is what happens when I disappear from here - denial denial denial) and just keep sticking around and starting over or whatever. So I'm totally with you on just coming back, fessing up to the challenges, and keep trying.

Amber - Pork loin and peperocinnis (BOTCHED spelling)? That's it? Wow. I just bought a pork loin and have been trying to decide what to do with it. That would be perfect and work for DH (no gluten or dairy, or he ends up in the ER) and for me (trying to dukan it right now). A bottle of those peppers I can't spell is on my grocery list for today!

Hi Ang!!! Hope you are busy making yummy things in your crock pot!!!

Hey, will you crawl back up here on the burning wagon with me and Kitty and Tini??? Purty Please? Maybe you already are...and I'm just late to the party?

Love ya girl!!! I'm up 21lbs from pre-surgery low of 218. Sux to be me right now. Fat ass. Fat back. Totally fluid filled back like an inflatable life raft. I'm a transformer. You can lay on me in the pool and I will be your float!

OMG!

I've fallen and can't get up. Literally. Will you and Tini come pull me back up on my feet?

AAAAAHHHHH NOOOOOOOO POOOOOTI!! Here I am! Take my hand! Up up and away!

Sewing my fingers off-- finishing up tutus and starting an 18th century to be worn on the stage-- SSSHHHHH! No one knows yet-- a very cool project!

I'm eating well again-- it was bad there for a while, but dude I have to get back in control. Too fat and out of breath and not sleeping well and achy and crabby. A non-lowcarbing Ang is someone no one in my family wants to know.

Breakfast was bacon, eggs and tomato. Lunch will be either tuna and celery if I'm in a rush or a salad w/ salmon if I want to spend some time. Tuna it is.

I have a big slab of beef to go in the crock pot today (Swim team tonight) I'd better get on that!

XOXOXOXOX

Hey Ang, sounds like you are doing OK!! That is good to be busy! Guess what I am cutting rocks, like obsessively! 2 years of not touching them and now I have the bug again I know you are the only person that gets that!

DG- yes that is it, pork and peppercini, sounds gross but it is really good and Dukan friendly it is not hot the crock pot mellows the hotness of the peppers but the vingegar does something magical I guess.

Trail mix is my enemy, why I keep buying it I have no idea, when I scoop out 1/4 c I am fine but when I hold on to the bag with my grubby hands I swear I eat 2 freaking cups of the stuff, OMG I need trial mix Anonymous!

Ang - that gown project sounds amazing! We of course will want pictures! And details of what stage, when you can!!! I'm with you on just having to crack the LC whip. Count me in as another among the friends here who is NOT nice to be around when sugarcarbies are running my brain.

Amber that pork with pepperocinis <--sp really is good! I love easy and good!

Good morning! Almost done with the tutus, I've made around 30 of them, so cute! That should be plenty for a holiday fair. I have a ten mile list of stuff to do today, and "quick note to LCF" is on it. CROSS IT OFF! Doing fine, bacon and strawberries/cream for breakfast, lunch will be leftover chili (sans beans) and dinner is a crockpot beef something or other. I'd better get that going, lol.

Have an awesome day! XOXOXO

Got it! I made this:

Carbonnade Beef and Beer Stew Recipe | Simply Recipes

So, has a few carby ingredients, but whatever. I'm not on induction and damn it looked so good! I probably should have made this the proper way, but instead I just chucked it all in the crock pot and turned it on. I can't imagine it will taste too bad, even if it doesn't turn out as expected. Wish me luck! I will report later whether or not it turned out like ass.

*high five Dgirl!*

One thing I love beef in the crockpot better when you brown it as they say I am too short on time now but it does make it tons better! I love my corn beef with beer so I am guessing that was darn good!

Amber, they recommend browning the beef first to seal in the juices... otherwise you'll be chewing on wet jerkey. DRY DRY DRY. The crock pot just sucks every last bit of juice and fat from the meat.

Last night's dish was okay! Not the greatest, not very flavorful-- but, in all fairness, I made it completely wrong. It was very filling, though, and tasted fine. I had to add a roux and take out most of the liquid to make it like stew, but no big. I probably won't make it again (this way!) but it was great when we came home tired and hungry.

Tonight's crockpot meal is chicken in red curry sauce. I just dumped in chopped onions and sliced mushrooms, 4 frozen chicken breasts, a little bit chicken broth and olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic. I'll add the jar of Trader Joe's curry simmer sauce later before we head off to Swim Team. Hopefully it will be alright. I've never stuck anything frozen in the crock before, but instructions say you can! So I am!

Hope everyone has a wonderful low carb day-- I am back in the 270's! WOOOHOOO!

Yay on the weight going down. Sounds as if you are doing much better and a bit happier. Glad to see that.

Off to physical and occupational therapy today as well as a doctor appt. I'll be so glad when all of this is over with, but it will be a while.

I spent the day at the beach yesterday. My cousin and family are here. The kids had a wonderful time as the water was perfect. Eating out every night, though!

Hugs and Aloha

SB- sounds like that is a good diversion for you have some kids and family around enjoy every minute!

Ang- yes you can stick frozen chicken in plenty of time to defrost and cook, my crockpot is almost too hot on low, I wish it could turn down a but stuff gets totally overdone in there.

Curry sauce sounds good! Another good thing is a jar of salsa and a can of green chilies over frozen breasts then shred it for tacos for the boys and I eat it over a salad.

Glad you are productive and yeah for the 70's!

Hi ladies!
SB I hope you are feeling better, glad you have family in town!
Thanks, DG!
Amber, mine is too hot on low, also! Those dumb chickens were done in like 3 hours, then I had to turn it off and wait until dinner to heat them back up again. Annoying! But, the curry sauce was delicious, so that will be a do over one of these days. I cooked the chicken and veggies first, had to drain it, and added the sauce at the last minute. If I had just let everything go the 8 hours they wanted, shoot! I'd have a bowl of chicken jerky. I'll get the hang of this somehow.

Another crazy day of sewing, have to get that gown done ASAP, so, hope evryone has a great day!
