I read about the Julian bread thing this morning and I'm furious too! It's not a small difference in carbs either. I'm sticking with my Mama Lupe tortillas. If you toast them in a pan they get pretty crispy and toast-like.

Ya I read about that last night (poot posted a link on FB). What a disappointment! And really shows you you can't trust the darned food labels

Ang the thing is maybe the bread has more carbs or whatever but they are a good quality bread and still way better for you then other crap, or try the Ezekial Bread, the thing is you enjoyed it and ate it without gaining and that is all that matters. I stopped getting it and buy the Ezekial bread now, it has no flour which I think is good. Have a good trip!

Bread is my weakness, but I have never tried the Julian bread, and don't intend to - especially after reading the article. I jused to get this bread from Sprouts that was 4 net carbs but it tasted like rubber. I buy this bread called 35 now - it has 35 calories and the carb count is fairly low. It doesn't seem to spike me and it tastes pretty good. I don't touch dreamfield pasta either - that was one product that really bothered me with its claims. I just don't eat pasta anymore. Thanks for the article.

I hope everyone is having a good day!

So Kitty, since you kicked the bread habit, what do you use for sandwiches and the like? Lettuce wraps? Flax buns? something else? Just curious...

I'd be interested in hearing what other folks use (especially with messy ingredients where bread keeps it off of the fingers). I like portable food such as sandwiches, but you can't carry around a hamburger with mustard, pickles and onion very well...

Hmmm - I may ask this on the main board and see what comes up!

I just put the inerds in a bowl or on a plate and use a fork. I carry disposable bowls and forks in car for just in case times.

A bowl of Philly cheese steak with toppings! Mmmmmmmm....and LC!

Can be more work, but better for staying LC.

I just don't desire the bread now....but the inerds! Mmmmmmmm

Detoxing Tini? How ya going about it?

Helps when you can't get a bunless at fast food places, however I've found most do well with it now when asked. Those not eating gluten have helped us in that way. I always think that the more we ask for bunless, the easier it will become. It will become accepted in more places.

I have also made cheese crackers to take along for dips, etc. love them!

It going good. I actually had steak and cheese guts for lunch yesterday..LOL!!! I got the ones from Steak break apart patty thingies from Costco. Rehydrated those Minced onions, fried them all up and covered them in cheese, with a BBQ sauce n mayo dip on the side.

Suffering through another hour until lunch. Thought I had something here for breakfast at work, but the storm killed the power and they had to dump the fridge. With all my dang smoked sausages!!!

Dang girls! Julian...sheesh. I'm sorry they let you down, Ang!!!

I swear y'all. Spend 15 minutes whipping up one my versions of Revolutionary Rolls and make pans of buns or pans of foccacia bread and take one of them to any restaurant. I just grab one and shove it in a container and roll out with it in my purse.

I've made them so they really taste bread like. No gluten anywhere. No bad or hidden carbs or fairy dust to blow up your ass! Swearsies!

Glams you can have your sammy bread and eat it too! Get back here with us. Tell your sewing machine to let you up! Let her go!

Tini you can dooooooo eeeeeeeettttttt! Gosh Philly Cheesesteak Guts sound powerful good right now! I took out a hunk of ground pork for tonight and think I'm making lettuce cups for dinner. I have Thai basil growing out the ying yang that needs usin' and a bunch of cilantro threatening divorce. Not to mention a head of lettuce threatening to "go bad". Have you ever seen when good lettuce goes bad? *shudder*

Kitty. You are sometimes too smart for words. If you only knew your secret powers...well let's just say, all the Catwomen and Julie Newmar's in the world wouldn't be able to hold you back! I just ask that you continue to use your powers for good! MUAH!

Love you Ang!!!! Hope you are doing awesome and are busy gettin' your glam-on, camping!

IFing get's easier the more you do it! Drink lots of water and take deep breaths. By about the 4th deep breath, you are feeling pretty high and like you can tackle the world! And play mind games with yourself. Every hunger pang is the sound of a thousand fats cells screaming to be fed. Shut the little mothahs up!
