Hello Ang (big hugs) I hope you are well! I have been having a great struggle myself and if you could see my chart from the last three months you would understand my frustration. I couldnt do the CAD no way. I have a hard enough time with out allowing that carb. They sneak in anyway! I found I wasnt being strict enough for sure and way too snacky so it's back to the drawing board for me. We can do this, I know we can!

Hey Angela. I am in the same funk/mindset/boat. Sigh. I have been done in by Valentines Day and my newest addiction--steel cut oats. Omg. How have I gone this long without them? I found recipes for making a big crockpot full overnight so breakfast would be ready for you. Unfortunately, I am about the only person who will eat it. I found myself eating my steel cut oats for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. I fear I am going to have to report a weight back up to 190 on Monday. I don't know why I can't stop myself. I have terrible difficulty reigning in my carb urges btwn 2-4:30 each day. So, I tried an experiment last night and just made up a one seving size of steel cut oats, made with water, put in a bit over a tbsp of Vermont maple syrup and three pear slices and that was my dinner. Mostly. Then had couple bites of broccoli and beef stroganoff. But, I didnt eat full serving at least.

Today, I made another single serving of steel cut( oats 27 carbs before the addition of a tbsp of dried cranberries, one of dried cherries, and one of toasted, sliced almonds, plus 1 tbsp heavy cream) around 9:00 and told myself I could not have anything else to eat before noon. So, here it is a little after 12 and all is good. I am off to eat a bit of leftover tamale meatball vegetable
soup. Need to keep myself from ruining everything mid afternoon, then tonight
will have salmon and crab cakes plus veggies.

So, my point is. I understand and wish you the best. Can only do this one meal at a time.

Ang, I can really mirror your sentiments regarding getting out of this meh rut. Care factor is just to low and motivation is lacking. Need to find some way to get a fire lit under my arse again so I give a damn.

Good stuff on the not gaining. Thats a positive thing! Prayers and hugs that you find your oomph again and can figure out how to be happy and healthy, both mentally and physically.

Love ya!

Hang in there..

My saying is take one day at a time.

I have a lot of stress in my life
that will get worse down the line so
taking it one day at a time.

I'm maintaining like you..least not gaining
which is great but like you I want to lose.

I/you..we can do it!

Hi I am a CADer. Let's get a board going. I know of a gal who lost over 100 on it. I sometimes don't even feel hungry for my rm when it comes so I eat less but some days I eat a lot. Then there are some days when I don't even need three meals. This works.

Oh! My! Goodness! I have such wonderful friends here. Thank you! You guys are the best and I appreciate every word you have for me.

Tiggy! I have really missed you-- and Diane, too! My international adventuresses. Welcome back!

Laura, Kristi, Janet, Bella, Meg, Siggie, Kitty, Sandy-- thank you for checking on me and getting me back in here, you ladies are awesome.

Oriana, I am not doing so well on CAD, so I really don't know what to say. If you work it, it works. I couldn't work it. I didn't try hard enough to get it right. It was really great having some noodles or mashed potatoes, but it just morphed into a cake fest and I knew I was wrong. Oh well. Back to the old drawing board for me.

So, I don't know what I'm doing any more, diet-wise. The harder I try, the bigger I blow it. I had a really good run through december, I'm just going to do that again, only this time giving myself a snack at 4pm. I think if I had that wee little thing, I could have made it longer. We'll see. I don't even want to plan anything, I just want to do it. I don't even want to talk about it, I just want to do it. I don't want to weigh or record or report. Nothing. Just want to eat my 3 low carb meals and a snack and shut the hell up about it. I absolutely cannot have the food be the primary concern in my life. It HAS TO BE secondary and just a background thing. I can't allow myself to obsess about it and allow the monitoring to take over my entire life. Too much suffers when I do that. I have no business to speak of, and I have to work on that. I have two commissions coming in and I MUST MUST MUST work on them. I have a crap website. I must rebuild it. I have a smart son, I must foster the education at all times. I have an athletic son, I must foster the activity. I have a nice cozy home, I must keep it clean. I have a wonderful husband who works very hard, I must suppoprt him. I have a cute little kitchen with everything I need to make nice homemade meals, I can't rely on crap freezer food to feed my boys. I just can';t be on the internet for any length of time, else I get totally sucked in. I just can't do it anymore. How in the world do all of you do it? You have the same real life I do (stuff and people and work to take care of) so what now?

Eh. Had my bacon and eggs this morning. It's a start.

Sounds like a good plan Hun. Hoping it works out for you. You work so hard and deserve to lose what you need. My plan is similar.

*Doing 3 meals here, no snacks though...if I want a snack like food, I eat it at dinner or lunch. Breakfast is the famous big arse breakfast....I truly do not feel the snack monster raging any more.

I'm secretly a mess here other than the eating....envious of our super moms out there.
