GOOOOD MORNING!! No, I'm still a pig. I can't keep up. I can't even blame my family, they are pretty tidy and clean up after themselves. IT'S ME!! ALL ME!!

Hope everyone has a great day! I'm trying to rig up my new fancypants iron, I got a Naomoto Gravity Feed and I'm all dipshitty in love with it. So, back to sewing!

KITTY!!!!

Busy night, Blazer game (Sheesh, those dudes play ALL. THE. TIME with this truncated season.) and reading Harry Potter to my son and playing with my husband's big giant telescope. (No, really, a big giant beast of a telescope-- finally a starry night! I looooooove looking at crap in space! Spectacular! Awesome!)

Finally tried boiled peanuts, they are weird and I liked them. Are you suppose to eat them warm or cold? These were cold and I didn't know better so I just ate them . Also had some Hawaiian poke with dinner-- yuuuuuum, was heavenly!

Everyone having a good night?? XOXOXO

Angela -I'm embarrassed to admit that my now 12 year old saw an iron at someone else's house a few years back and asked what it was!!!!! Her older sister didn't help my cause by telling her it was the thing you used to melt those little plastic beads into shapes. She now knows that it's the thing you use to affix badges onto the girl scout sash when your mother doesn't sew (clearly not one of your issues).

Ang, glad you are well!
K is all about irons as is her mom. They iron everything, which works out well for me!They are both madly in love with the Rowena (sp?). I can't imagine is they had something as fancy as yours is!

Good morning! I liked the weird soggy peanuts, i don't know why. I bet they would be good warm. They wren't from a can, they were from our local Asian superstore, Uwajimaya.

ha ha about the irons! We almost never use them for real clothes, for that, if we even bother, we use the bachelor's iron: the dryer. I don't think we even own anything nice that would need ironing! We are a jeans a t-shirts kind of family with jobs in which we can wear whatever we like. Janet, if K has an old old Rowenta and it works fine, tell her to hang on to it! Any of the ones released in the last 15 years or so are just crap, and my wallet can sure attest to that. I've blown through ELEVEN Rowentas in the last decade (and also, sunbeam, black & decker, shark, etc. etc.) I know the common denominator here is ME, but seriously, they have all fallen apart on me-- usually the heating coil will become uncontrollable or they start peeing on my stuff. Never fails! My last Rowenta inexplicably peed a big black steak across white linen. You would think it would be operator error, but I honestly do know how to press and iron and use irons properly! I'm certain my ironing woes are over with my new industrial gem! yay!

Have a great low carb day, everyone!

Boiled peanuts rock, and man down south they know how to do it, I found some in a can, and they are good too.

I cant imagine that many irons, I have one my Gram used to iron for me, now it just takes up space, I burn everything! lOL

Okay...I don't get it. How do you not iron? It would not be possible for any of my family to pass being in public without our clothing being pressed. Do the rest of you take everything to the cleaner?

Nope I put it in the wash and dry on delicate and there it is, LOL Tony wears button down shirts but if I pull them out at just the right time, they dry pretty good and wrinkle free, I am sure an iron over them would be better but that aint happening in my house, LOL My Mom has a friend that irons her sheets, I was like OMG I would die!!!@

Diva, we don't own anything needing ironing! Jeans and T-shirts seem a-ok just using the dryer. If something looks really wrinkly, then of course I iron it, but seriously, a pair of jeans, and a t-shirt under a sweater don't need much attention. If I was a fancypants like you going to operas and ballets and such, I could manage to iron, lol. (Did I mention I have a dryer that has the steam and touch up options? heh heh heh)

I am definitely not ironing sheets But...I can't make any of my husband's shirts or mine and Merry's dresses come out decent looking without the iron. I don't mind...truth is, I almost like ironing. (what I hate is doing laundry!)

Like Maryo I iron the Girl Scout patches. Those things are a ***** to sew on. The only other time I iron is when I travel for work. Something about getting out the little ironing board and iron makes me feel good. I don't like going into meetings in wrinkled pants.

Ang, I'm going to Florida this weekend so I will check in with ya when I get back!!

I iron, steam but the best thing ....I got a new dryer that has a steamer built into it and I can have a glass of wine while the darn thing does it's magic! Kind of like the gal who threw flour on her face, making the rice krispies bars. Only if that vacuum had an auto switch!
