Hi Ang, Hi Ladies,
Hope all is well with one and all (what a weird little sentence). We're back from Amy's Army graduation and got her shipped off and so I'm back home trying to catch up with things. It may take me a while to sort through individual posts, but just thought I'd shout "HEY" and "GET IT GIRLFRIENDS" before I go try to get myself back on track. |

Good morning ladies! The pow wow was beautiful-- the costumes, the dancing, the artwork, loved it all. We had a wonderful time.
I am starting Induction with Amber, so 14 days of clean low carb living, and I will take photos, even if the food is completely boring. Must work harder! I'm still not in a balanced place, but I will check in daily for sure. I am pattern drafting this week, creating better patterns for my designs so my future sewing life can be more brainless. If I have a pattern I really trust, then I can just SEW and not fret over every detail. This is a good thing! Off to make breakfast. hmmm, do you think I will eat EGGS?? lol! |

Angela, good to hear you had a good time at the pow wow. Here's wishing you and Amber a happy and successful Induction. I know you'll have some good looking induction meals to show us. Then again, I didn't think induction food was boring.

Good morning Ang!!! Consult with plastic surgeon today, whatever he says I am OK with I can get excited about doing it now, or waiting is fine too, but at least after today I will know which direction I am headed.

Hi Ang!
I love a good Pow Wow! The Seneca Nation has them in Niagara Falls in the summer time. It reminds me of my dear MIL. She passed away a few years ago, but when she was with us, she loved going. She alwasy said she was an Indian Princess in a previous life! |

Goooooooood evening! I took a day off to clean my house and go to Sears to get my son some new pants... sheesh that kid keeps getting taller! My house, natch, was filthy. I've been ignoring it and ignoring it and ignoring it-- amazing what you just find acceptable when you just don't pay attention. I still have a lot to do, I didn't even make it to floors, which are really gross. How do people keep clean houses? Do they actually clean them? Is that the trick? Actually cleaning? Well, my internet diet is working, as all my laundry is done (even folded! Put away!! NOT piled on the chair for another day!) and all the billions of Legos that were barfed all over the place are now back in my son's room. I will take another internet-free day tomorrow and get everything scrubbed.
How is everyone? I'm fine! Just keeping away from the mind-numbing time suck that is the internet (and no, not my dear LCF friends-- but I waste a buttload of time on this computer doing--- nothing. I MUST KNOCK IT OFF!) |

Hey Angela, I had a question for you about CAD. At your suggestion I got the book and I'm about 2/3 of the way into it. Do you actually follow that plan, or just pieces of it (like no snacking). Do you do a Reward Meal that has carbs? Since low carb is working for me, I just can't bring myself to do that. The no snacking makes a lot of sense from an insulin release perspective, though.

No, I don't have a reward meal-- I just follow their general guidelines of no snacking. Although, when I was very strong and managed to actually follow the plan exactly with very balanced meals, I lost weight nicely... it was the "balance" part that always eventually tripped me up. I was dumb. It's a good plan to understand and keep in your low carb arsenal!

Hell no its called a cleaning lady, LOL I feel no remorse paying her to come twice a month and clean from top to bottom she even changes the bed sheets! LOL I am spoiled she is Bobby's Sunday School teacher she needs money so I feel it is a charitable donation, LOL But it is a PIA, every night I make everyone put everything away so it doesnt pile up, it is amazing that taking a little time each day prevents the huge build up if you let it go! It helps that Tony is neat and that I have been beating Bobby since birth, LOL Ok go clean your *****y floors so you can come and talk to us! I dont like not using the internet Angela, LOL Although I have not been on at night that is where I smoked, so I find not being on it keeps my mind off it!

Ang, cleaning sucks. Those people living in my house have no sense and don't put anything away at all. Geez ...
![]() I spend my Saturdays cleaning. Even though it's only K and I, and our old cat, we still manage to create a big mess. |

Internet diet, huh? Hmmmm... maybe I need one. LOL
Clean houses...pfffftttt. I gave up on that dream when my kids became teenagers. Back when I had 3 toddlers running around I kept an immaculate house top to bottom all done by moi... the kids got older, and well, it all went out the window.... and go-figure...my son (19) is the cleanest person I have EVER met.. he's been this way since birth. LOL toys were always put away and in order, bed always made, hates clutter... we thought maybe he'd become an engineer My two girls (15 & 17) are the messiest little girls ever.. oye! the youngest is a regular ole tazmanian..I always know where she's been! Kids..gotta love 'em! Hurry up and clean and stuff so you can come back and play some more.. Purrrtty pleeezzee????? Will whining and begging make it happen faster? ![]()

LOL, cleaning! We are just three people and it seems like a whole zoo lives here. WTH! Anyway, staying off the net today until later tonight after I read more Harry Potter to my son. It's reeeeally hard to stay off the computer, but I have to do it for the well being of my psyche and family and home and business. On the agenda today: CLEAN, and pattern draft the wasitband of a ren skirt, it's a tricky one! Sorry I've been absent, but i really need to find my balance. I am giving up a lot, but not LCF. I will be here mornings and evenings trying to catch up! XOXOXOXOX

Ang it is a good thing, I noticed just since I am not sitting at it all the time at night, I am spending more time with my son and more quality time, just talking with him, he is so interesting, and I think of all that time I wasted smoking stupid cigs when I could have been with my best buddy! So I totally understand these are purely selfish desires to have Ang back, LOL It is hard finding balance I struggle everyday with it, for me it is usually Tony that gets pushed aside, and him being gone these 3 days was a good reminder how much I miss him and how much he is my rock that I just think will always be there! I made sure to tell him how much I miss him.

The Love and Support for you don't change whether you are one here one time a month or 15 times a day. I, like you, am changing how much time I spend on the computer. I am teaching 2 classes (counseling support groups on finding your authentic self-re-authoring your life story), cleaning and maintaining my house and spending face time with my family. One friday night my daughter texted me asking what I was doing. I told her spending time with the love of my life, and she texted back.....your computer. OUCH! It was true that my mac will sit on my lap at night during family conversations but I do develop a lot of powerpoint and activation/transformation materials on it. I have a big sticky note that lists what I need to do so i have a time limit to adhere to . Sooooo understand. It is nice to have a place to land when I need encouragement or inspiration. Have a good day friend!

Hi Ang!
Cleaning stinks! I am lucky that Andrew does most of it, since he is between jobs right now. When he goes back to work, I will totally hire a cleaning person. I used to feel guilty about that, but seriously, it is worth every penny! And frankly, I suck at cleaning any how! I do it, but I suck! |
