Did you take before pic.s? I wish I had good ones. I agree with Amber, if only for your viewing, they will help you see the changes. Take a new one monthly. Measure too!

What Ang said. I don't think it could be put any better. It's great that you're using the negativity as motivation. Show them! You can do it, Jean. Honey Badgers don't give a flip what other people think about their food choices.

Jean- the fact that you have a teenage daughter that saw the change in you is freaking huge!!!! Kids are so observant!!! The fact that she sees you doing that and making these changes is awesome!! You are doing it everyday and you will continue to do so!!!! I am telling you it is all in your mind, the mind controls it all and how you talk to yourself. Tony and I talk about this all the time, I was with him 2 1/2 years and was always dieting, he said I fully expected you to fail and I never thought you would go to the gym, but you know what, even though he supported me I fooled them all! I finally got it through my thick head that the way I was living was indeed not working and I had to over haul the whole way I go about living, once I did that it sank in, I wouldnt set a date for our wedding cause I knew I would ruin another marriage if I didnt change the way I was living before hand!!!

It is a major lifestyle change, our lifestyles got us to be morbidly obese, we need to live in a way that makes us healthy! We make the choice to move our bodies and nourish it with junk or healthy foods, ultimately our condition is all us! It takes attention to it every day and you are doing it!!!

It IS a lifestyle change...this is now normal for me! Eating the way I did would be grossly abnormal! Even if I am off plan...I am not eating like that now!!!!

Day 7 and time to weigh In

Well I am now on Day 7 and I have to admit I feel pretty good. Last night again I started craving for something sweet. Wishing I had some form of low carb candy or ice cream but then I thought you didn't buy those things for a reason. Tough it out. So instead of purchasing the good-bad stuff I'm going to buy myself some l-glutamine. I have been saying all along how this time is different well I totally mean that in every way. I can't count how many times I've done this lifestyle and didn't acquire all of my necessary tools. Necessary tools such as Keto sticks, Vitamins, scale, and lots of water. Unfortunately with my financial situation I have to do one at a time. So this week it will be some of my vitamins and the keto sticks.

Yesterday I did pretty good with the eating. I didn't have lunch which I'm trying to not do. I want to shoot for the 3 meals a day. I just wasn't hungry.

B:Breakfast burrito with low carb tortilla
D:Collard Greens & baked chicken legs
120 ounces of water

Goals for today
1-Water Water Water
2-Find a way to weigh myself
3-Do some form of working out.

I would just skip the keto sticks, don't waste your money! Buy more vitamins instead, those are more valuable for sure! Keto sticks are completely unnecesary. Sure, it's fun to pee on something and have it tell you good news, but really, if money is tight, just skip it.

HAVE A GREAT WEIGH IN, JEAN!!

Good Morning Ang-I met her on another thread filled with women last year. Yeah she is totally amazing. I just sent her a message on fb last week saying how I don't see her on LCF hardly anymore.

God morning Amber-Yes I'm pretty excited about it. I have to find a place that will let me do it. I'm hoping the hospital not far from my house will allow me to weigh in.

Good Morning Kitty-Yes she is!

Good Morning Hooligan-lol! I will try not to.

Totally agree with Ang about the Keto sticks, all the weight I lost I dont think those sticks ever turned purple, and I was certainly burning off over 100 pounds, so I dont trust them, and waste of money, totally agree spend the money on a zumba tape or more supplements or stash for a new something when you make a goal-which young lady you have got to do, I say when you hit 399 you are due for something big!!!!!

Good Mornin Jean! Good luck with your weigh in today, I know you will do fab! I tried doing the ketostix the first time i did Atkins seriously and I just ended up driving myself bonkers with them...so just remember to keep in mind your menus, your losses, and how you're feeling if the sticks deviate from that purple!

I agree...Ketostix drive me crazy. They're just another thing for me to obsess over. Save the $$ especially since it's tight. $$'s really tight here too...

Hi Jean,
L-glutamine rocks it for me when I have sweet cravings. I pop one and will have a little Coke Zero if it's really unbearable and I'm afraid I'm going to shove something bad in my mouth.

And I agree with everything everyone here has said about Ketostix--they suck. Period. Don't waste money or time using them.
