Carrie's Journal
I have decided enough is enough. I am ready to lose weight! I am currently 260 pounds and I feel like I got here over night, but I know that this is not the truth. Last year, this time I was 248, I was three months pregnant. Throughout my pregnancy I really watched what I ate but then gained all the extra weight in the last two months. I think I just gave up and gave in by the 7th month.
I now have a beautiful baby girl named Hannah, she is wonderful in every way. I promised myself and Hannah that I would go on a diet when she turned 6 months old. The day has come she turned six months old two days after Christmas. She deserves a healthy Mama that is full of energy. My goal is to lose 50 pounds in 6 months. It will be the best gift that I can give my child. My overall goal is to be a healthy, active 170 pounds. My challenges I face ahead. I will lack lots of time starting Tuesday when I go back to teaching. My concern is planning out food. I have done weight watchers before. It worked for about 20 pounds and then I lost my drive. My husband is supportive but also shows his love with “try a little bit” The pluses I have tried Atkins once, for a day, I was not serious and I failed in five hours. It is one hour until my first day is over and I have completed day one of my Atkins diet! ![]() |
