Another hot day in the city, headed out to the housing authority to drop off a tenant's lease and try to find some sandals that don't hurt my feet (burning for days now, wearing last years worn out flips). Just cooked up some daikon radish, going to fry it up with onion and scramble some eggs in it for later. Yum.
B's fever finally broke last night (he's been "laid down" with walking pneumonia this week). He said he should be good for Saturday. Yay!

I put an ad out to meet someone that lives near me and wants to ride bikes in forest park.
I met Cynthia for a ride today! She's african american, smart educated, moved here from Atlanta a year ago, is dating a mexcian gentleman and going to nursing school. We immediately clicked on a personality, philosophy and spiritual level. Despite our age difference, we have so much in common, she is funny, positive, goofy and wants to go to laughter yoga with me after a ride on Sunday. She also mentioned that she's been wanting to go to Twilight Tuesdays at the History Museum in May. Different live bands that play on the steps of the history museum. Four blocks from where I live. People bring their blankets, lawn chairs, snacks, beverage and rock out for a couple of hours every Tuesday. I haven't been in years, guess I am this year!
She's lived all over the world, a year in Australia, she was a ballerina until she broke her neck in a car accident. She's gained weight and is now borderline diabetic. She's open to learning more about low carb. yay
I haven't had a "best friend" for 10 years since she moved away. I haven't clicked this way with a female friend in 10 years. I thought it would never happen again.
She's a positive force and suddenly I'm hopeful wide open to possibilities of change in this life o mine. The winds are changing.

Oh yea, interview tomorrow at 10:00. The tenant that told me about the job, told me today they were going to announce who got the job tomorrow. Maybe they already selected the candidate. I'm the only one tomorrow. It'll be good practice though...

Hello everyone! Decided to do some internal work and found this great therapist, met with her on Thursday. We are going to process Brain over Binge together! I'm having her make me accountable for positive changes I want to make in my life. Changes I start but when life and pms gets in the way...I let myself falter. I'm putting dating/relationships on the back burner for now (this week anyway lol) and focusing on building a trusting relationship with myself.
Tasks for this week:
Attending adult children of alcoholics meetings
Staying on my food plan which includes no alcohol this week
Doing my afformations (the best way to dump your "head trash")
Continue my brain over binge exercises
Start meditating 5 minutes a day
Spend time with supportive girlfriends
journaling every day.

So far so good! Hey, I'm feeling really positive in just two days!

Oh yea, I had a lovely visit with dad today, we did lunch then I took him car shopping for a couple of hours. Still grateful for the healing in our relationship.....makes life sweeter right now..

It's a great day today! Weighed 149.8 this morn and that's with a delicious mango last night! It was sweet and juicy good!
Headed to a women's meeting this morn, meeting a client, then Cynthia is coming over to ride bikes and watch "Girls" on hbo. She's decided to stay in town and finish nursing school here. I'm so grateful! May go see a movie with my friend J later or just stay in...

Coming through a week of dealing with a lot of stress with ex (that won't go away) and another tenant issue ( I rented to a friend of the old maintenance man that got me this job). we got rid of one alcoholic that was staying with K, now he has another staying with him and hasn't paid rent for May. My friend C vouched for him and said he'd pay if K didn't. He's not, so I had to end my friendship with C. I'm pmsing right now so every thought is blown out of proportion anyway.
Was able to relieve stress yesterday by hanging out with Cynthia. We spent a couple of hours looking at abandoned city houses (they used to have a program where you could buy one for cheap with the promise of rehabbing it within a year), went to lunch then at sunset took a bike ride in forest park. There was a group of people playing drums and hanging out at the pond at the bottom of the Art Museum. People with lighted hula hoops and batons with fire at each end putting on a show. It was so much fun! Again, I forgot my camera. Will definitely bring it next time. Supposedly they do it every evening in the summer.
Go see my therapist in a couple of hours. It's seemed more like a month than a week. We will have a lot to talk about today.
I did a meditation workshop (ascension meditation) two years ago. I hooked up with the woman that does them in her home on Thursday nights. She had a meditation teacher visiting her on Sunday so I went and did an hour meditation with them. The second half hour was really tough, my mind kept dwelling the resentments going on this week. Hopefully tonight will be better, My mind has been calmer since yesterday. I'm planning on going to a meditation retreat with Cindy (woman that hosts on Thursdays) on memorial day weekend.
Food hasn't been great but I'm not beating up on myself this week. It should be easier from today on out because I have relieved some of my major stresses of the week.

Ah...these are the weeks you just "get through" sweetie. Hang on tight, keep your eyes right in front of you and remember to breath. You know it gets better and each time you get through these tough times it will remind you how strong and centered you are. So sorry you are dealing with these issues though! MUAH! Hugs! Problem tenant called yesterday and is moving out by tomorrow. I went over to show the maintenance man the place (want him to paint this week) and the electric is turned off. Had the electric company turn on the power today, am afraid of what the refrigerator looks like, the power has been off since last week. Found a good tenant but she can't move in til July 1st which means I'll lose two months rent on the place. She hasn't seen this apartment, she looked at the one above that I rented yesterday, she may balk when she sees it this week. LOL
Weight was 148.2 this morn. Cynthia and her boyfriend are coming over tonight, we are going to walk over to the history museum to listen to live music for Twilight Tuesdays in the Park. Need to remember my camera tonight!
TOM came early on Saturday, emotions are definitely calmer, last week was a ginormous roller coaster of feelings and reactions bouncing all over my life

Tenant didn't move out Tuesday. Wednesday I was shaking stressed while dealing with him. Now he says he's moving this weekend. Can't believe anything he says. Cousin picked me up yesterday and we went for wings and beer to bring my nerves back to normal. LOL
Very stressful week. Went to therapy today, she helped me put it all in perspective, I just need to let go of what I can't control. If he is still here on June 1st I gave him notice that I'll garnish his wages....so realistically he would be stupid to stay.
May go to the lake this weekend, won't make up my mind til tomorrow. Don't know if I'm up to the 2.5 hour drive, if not I can babysit my sweet 2 y/o nephew on Saturday night while my brother and girl go to a concert. Did end up squeezing in a date this week. He's already kind of crazy for me. I'm backing off, the last thing I need to do is to jump into something else (typed someone...freudian slip? lol). I'm seeing him tomorrow and telling him it's all platonic for now and see if he still wants to proceed. Last night I told my gf Judy that I'm not sure I'm attracted to him, he's more "fem" I'm used to macho men. She asked me "and how did that work out for ya"? LOL

Went to my hour meditation tonight. Hormones are aligned this week, mind was calm and I left feeling really centered. Going to eat some brussel sprouts and soak in a epsom bath and read. Ahhhhh

Not all that interested in food this week. Ahh, the temporary freedom from the drive to feed! LOL

Went out with J last night, appetizers at a Nicaraguan restaurant, main meal at Vietnamese, then dancing at beals. My dogs are sore today! LOL
Headed to my brothers for a bbq, pool and going to a concert with him tonight, he has a free $55.00 ticket to see Creed. I may poop out before then. My youngest brother backed out. I was looking forward to babysitting!
weight: 148.8. Would love to see 145 again, but I'm content.
Will be up tomorrow, wine last night, having heinekens at the bbq today , but Sunday is another low carb day!

Haven't even checked to see if bad tenant is moving out. I'm going to trust that he is not dumb enough to wait til June 1st and get garnished. I can't rent it til mid june anyway....not going to stress over it anymore...

Well, it's been one long weekend of sun fun eating out and dates. Saturday I met M, I drove an hour to his place, then we went for a 3 hours motorcycle ride up the river road and back. He serenaded me by guitar when we got back home, outside, under the stars. He is really attractive. Shaved head, dark eyes, 5'9" and has a weight lifters body. Plus, he's nice and sexy to boot. Sunday, I went to the river with a friend, then Monday another pool party at my brothers. I'm afraid to get on the scale. So I'll wait. LOL
Today I picked up my dad in Illinois, brought him to his mri appointment at St Louis university hospital, got lunch, return him home and I'm sacked on the couch. It's gorgeous out and wanted to go to the history museum to listen to the band tonight, but am going to stay in and have some down time at home...
Tomorrow, is therapy, then Thursday is my meditation group.
Oh I did get my butt to Club Fitness and worked out for what I think is the first time in two weeks. Gotta go back on Thursday...

He's doing okay. I think they are going to want to do surgery on his neck (rheumatoid arthritis) but it's really invasive, he hardly recovered from minor back surgery last June...
