I'm only 3 pounds from goal now! Can't believe it!! Bad thing is my face looks drawn..I always lose it in the places I don't need to. Darn!

It's really cool out this morn, hopefully the sun will pop and warm up the city. Wanna take the bike out when we get there! We are going to leave for the lodge around 2pm. There's a lot to do in Grafton, horseback riding, theres this restaurant called the fin inn where they have huge aquariums at the booths with huge fish/snapping turtles from the river, winery, music, antique shopping, lots of biker bars...I've got a hankering to play some pool tonight

After the pool we drove to the biker bar, but lo and behold only found one biker couple



This is the off season and we found out the regulars went to a bar in Godfrey to listen to a band.
We couldn't find Godfrey so we settled for Fast Eddies in Alton


The place was PACKED! GOOD BAND!!!



I don't know who this lady was, but she was having a blast!!




This morning we drove to the lookout





Sorry I didn't get any of the look out but one of the bench "Gods Bees"



Afterward we went for a swim then stopped by the Fin Inn on the way home - you can see my bike with the little girls basket on the front



What is unique about this place is that they have huge aquariums at the tables with Missouri Fish and 150 year old Snapping Turtles

Really fun weekend, but tired today. C's loud snores from the adjacent bed kept me up all night, got about 2 hours of sleep.

Forced myself to go to my laughing yoga class. Was so grateful I did, about 15 people showed up, it was much easier to let go of my inhibitions and let my inner child shine for an hour today.


I was careful about food this weekend, besides the merlot the only carb indulgence was a few of C's nachos at the biker bar.

Today I IF'd between 3 and 7:30 pm. A whey shake for one meal, then steak, a nuked apple with cinnamon/mac oil, then two small low carb flaxseed brownies/cream ....

That trip looks super fun and relaxing! Love the pictures at the church. I also love wandering through cemetaries but my friends think I am nuts and weird. I always wonder about the people there and the stories.

Was really into family tree stuff years ago...when I had more "free" time. Would spend hours going through cemeteries. Those stones remind me of DH's GG Grandfather's and some of his kids' stones.the first of his family to come to America from Germany. Traced it back to him and found his burial site.

Wow talk about a trip down memory lane. I have swam in that pool. I have got out and out DRUNK at that bar. I have ate at that restaurant and played with those chessmen!
My second honeymoon was at that lodge with the big loser #2 husband. And fast eddies has some of the best bar food in town. Godfrey is up off the highway so I can see you not finding it. (you have to turn left right after you get into alton before you even see the Belle casino) It has a few big hopping bars there, Wick's being the one I remember being craziest. I did a lot of playing at that bar long ago

Yes, Wicks was the name of the Godfrey bar! They were supposed to have a good band that night. My cousin and her husband stayed at the lodge last summer, we met up for the first time in 40 years. It was a blast. She wants to go back and have me stay there and spend the weekend. I can't wait to go back!

Dealing with problem tenant the past two days. He's a drunk that is actually staying with a tenant. This tenant I took on because he was a friend of my friend the maintenance man. I had doubts about it but let personal issues over ride my business sense. Now were in the process of getting him out this week, he's refusing to leave. I don't want to deal with him directly, but told the tenant to call the police to get the problem guy e*scorted out. He has been hangin and drinking on one of the tenants futons in the basement. So I am going to have to change the locks on the entry door and basement door. More expense the owner will not be happy about.
Weighed 150.2 yesterday and 149 this morn (weighed 3 hours early). I'm happy I'm staying around 150.
It's gorgeous outside! Supposed to be 80 today. Was going to go see The Hunger Games with C this afternoon, but it's toooo nice to be inside. Need to meet an appraiser looking at my apartments at 1pm, do some shopping, then do something outdoors!

My bathing suit was falling off me this weekend. Haven't been able to find one in the stores like it (back cutout with a supportive hook band which supports the chest better). I never spent this much on a suit but wanted to get one like my old one.

Izzy you cant go wrong with a Lands End Bathing suit, even if that sucker fades in a summer they will replace it, I love Lands End clothing for that reason, they are expensive but there stuff is quality!

My brother Rich surprised me and brought his dog Tucker with him to St. Louis. He'd never visited here before. We went to the Loop to Fritz's. Had a beer, some meat and stole his fries. I haven't worked out in ages. I think I need to hit the gym tonight! It was gorgeous sitting outside and enjoying him and good food!

Went from IF'ing to doing more CAD eating. Last night I met a friend at a lovely Vietnamese cafe, sat outside in the beautiful, had stirfried tofu and half the rice portion and a beer. Weight was still the same today. Reading Brain over Binge is really helping me I think. I'll write about my observations here once I get through more of the book. I"m happy at this weight 149, my abs are defined again, I'm in size 10's and still have my boobs, important at my age! LOL Making peace with my upper arms and thighs.
Tomorrow I'm meeting a couple of diet clients then headed to Illinois to attend my great nieces bbq party at my dads.
Sunday, my gf and I are trying out a new church near Tower Grove and then I'll do the qi gong and laughter yoga in the afternoon. Might squeeze a date in sometime this weekend, maybe not. See how I feel...

Finally, finally made it back to Club Fitness and did the upper body machines. Been ages, my muscles are miniscule. Going to be diligent about going 3 times a week...need to build up strength so I can haul my bike out of the basement by myself....

Ah, lots going on this weekend. Friday C came over we had a glass of wine on the back porch, went to Buffalo Wild Wings for some garlic parm wings and beer, then headed to the blues bar down on Broadway. My friend from Chicago D, was playing bass. Danced my arse off til 12:30 am. Didn't sleep much Friday night, was out the door to meet 2 diet clients then to Illinois to my great niece's (3rd) and my brother Bobs girlfriend's son Brennan's and 2nd birthday bbq at my Dad's. Was a glorious afternoon! This morning I met 3 women from the spiritual meetup group at a church by Tower Grove Park. Awesome time. A big burly man named Bob played the flute. We all went to Mekong for lunch and had a lively chat. This afternoon I met my Laughter Yoga group for a fun session. Another woman is holding a session near me on Wednesday night. Committed to do that.
A blast from the past bf blew into town on his motorcycle. We drove to Horseshoe Lake and watched the sun set on the water. Trekked up a hill and laid nekked under a tree. Shhhh don't tell anyone...

Surprisingly enough, feet and knee is okay despite all the boogying down on Friday night. Surprised and grateful..

At Mekong for lunch I had the number 38. Fried seasoned chicken breast strips (no breading) over lettuce, tomato, cucumber, shredded carrots. The fish sauce was really sweet, so I skipped the rice.
Tonight, I had leftover pork steak, broccoli with butter, a bit of nuked apple/butter/cinnamon
Snack, a few mac nuts and a few sips of whey shake
Weight this morn: 148.8
