Had a good time on vacation, Norfolk Lake was pretty cold, we only took a dip once. Spent more time on the motorcycle exploring the countryside. Weighed 152.2 this morn, what a relief, when I saw 155+ on the scale when I returned I was really depressed. Queen at the symphony on Friday was really really good. We went to the blues clubs in Soulard afterward, didn't get home til 2:00 am. Forgot what we did on Saturday...last night went to see Star Trek. I thought it was good, Dave said "okay". Been dealing with acid reflux since I returned, haven't made it back to low carb yet. The past two days have been eating low fat and eating watermelon to detox my liver. I think the reflux is gone and plan to do meat again today. My former "boss" and I are supposed to go to the engineering firm to find out what is going on with my job. I think it's evident though....the project manager supposedly hasn't returned my bosses calls for over a week. They can make money by using their own person instead of paying my company $30.00+ an hour for my salary and overhead. I just need to know either way because I need to find another job to supplement this one, need to know what hours I will be working (or not).

Down to 149.8 at 5am this morn. Woke at 4, after 4 hours of sleep. Spent the day with Dave before he went to work at 3.30. Really hurting from the accident. Worked out with the lightest weights at the gym yesterday. Lost all strength I gained 4 months ago. Well, yea? LOL
Have a sharp pain in deep in the chest (where the seatbelt had indented my chest in the accident) when I try to pull any weight toward or away from me. Scared me a bit. Couldn't do the leg extension, knees too damaged also.
It was depressing, how this workout highlighted how injured I really am. Waiting to get the paperwork from AAA so I can see a chiropractor. Need an orthopedic really, but they all want payment up front and my limit is $5000.00 with mri's that will add up fast.

Just tired, sorry for venting.
Eating is clean
Attempting to work out again.
Pluses, huh?

I am so sorry you are hurting so much. Shouldn't the auto insurance be paying your bills? If you are injured in an accident, that isn't medical, that is accident coverage that should cover that.

Down about 8 pounds since vacation! Yippee! Alternating a low carb day with a higher carb day. Working so far.

My cousin helped me clean the apartment next to me (I'm sorry to smokers, but its filthy from 2 years of 2 smokers living there (they smoke mj too). It reaks. They left the oven black (as normal in these apartments) and my cousin toiled on that (saved my right hand) I spot cleaned about 25 stains on the floor. Their dog obviously wasn't potty trained all the way...anyway, I'm feeling better today, spirits are lifting. Lost 10 pounds since I left for vacation was 148ish before I left, got up to 156+ when I returned and this morn weighed 146.4. Woohoo.
Woke after 4 hours (at 4am) got to work baking some low carb fare (flaxmeal bread and low carb chicken pot pies for this week).
I've been alternating a meat/fat/nuts day with a low fat berries/kefir/walnuts, lc shakes and watermelon day. So far really good. I've also been restricting my eating to a 5-6 hour window. Try to wait as long in the day to eat (yesterday 4pm, day before 5pm) so I think that is definitely a factor also.
I'll probably wait til the end of the week to go back to the weight machines. Need a bit more healing in my joints before I do that.
Cousin is coming back by this evening to vacuum all three floors of both my buildings ...and the basement laundry rooms. Oh, I really appreciate this help so much and he said I can keep the pay when the owner pays for the work. This will help with the car/insurance payment next month.
Grateful. Really Grateful this beautiful morn.

On my lower carb days I sometimes have eggs, lc veggies and some cheese....made some golden flaxmeal bread this morn. Some tuna salad on toasted bread sometime this week is sounding fine.

Hi sweetie! Started therapy last Monday after being on their list for months. Stirring up a lot of feelings that I need to start working on. Bringing up some really rough stuff.
Still doing low carb....that's still going well. Up a couple pounds since Monday's weigh in, but it should mostly be water...
Thanks for checking in!

Thanks sweetie! Enjoy the rest of the week!

a couple years ago I had a membership with massage lux. I told the massage therapist about my plantar fasciitis in my feet. He recommended someone he knew after getting it (just had P.F. a week). Told me he "cured' him. I thought I would be a hopeless case since I've had it 15 years, and he charged 100.00/hr.

I looked up the massage therapist that works on P.F. and he works in south county at a chiropractor/rehab center and I can use the med pay from the car accident to finally get help (I'm thinking if the chiro medically advises massage the insurance company should pay for it). Go 1pm on Monday. I just remembered him today and called the old massage therapist for his name. This hopefully will work out so I can get my parts working.
Yesterday I had to do a typing test and my hand was aching all night from the thumb/hand injury. I inflamed everything by taking that 3 week job on my feet/writing up sheets.
Anyway this company wants me (you make appts from home 20-25 hours a week....great company and they have 30 days of training. I can't start next friday because of the hand thing now, but will on August 12th. So I'll have income coming in then.

OH Let me know how that goes. I had PF and I went to my chiro for help getting rid of it. It took a while and tons of heat/ice at home before and after treatments, but I got it healed.

How exciting. New job!

So glad I started going to the chiro/massage therapist last week. Maybe this accident was a blessing in disguise. I saw Dan for an hour last week. He also does energy work and said I had some "heart" stuff going on. He was right on. Therapy is bringing up a lot of grief (but that is good). He also was working on my feet and said I have been "stuck" in my life for a while. He said by working on my feet, this could trigger positive changes in my life. For the past two mornings I haven't woken up with the usual feeling of gloom that I normally attribute to hormonal junk. The chiropractor is working wonders on my neck and I know one of the cervical vertebrae is supposed to be correlated to emotions. Food hasn't been the cleanest, but as long as I can hover around 145 give or take 3...I'm good. Not beating up myself for it.
Had some fun this weekend, Dave's friend owns a brazilian restaurant and has a "burlesque" show on Saturdays. The show was really entertaining without being to "titillating" lol

Better! Cleaned up my food finally, three days ago. Was 151 on the weekend, back down to 147.4 today. Weather is supposed to be gorgeous the next 3 days, need to get outside. Been pretty much holed up since the car accident in May. May go to the pool this morning to get some sun, I aim to work out this afternoon with the weight machines and go to an ACOA meeting tonight at 7pm. Love my therapist! For the first time ever I look forward to Mondays! LOL

After a break, we decided to hang out as friends (mostly lol) no expectations...occasional good times (he still only has a couple/three days off a month). It's odd, I rode my bike for the first time this year a couple nights ago. Passed someone that looked like my ex Bryan, but was much thinner. He called out "Denise" and I turned my head, fell off my bike...it was him. What a shock. I was riding around Creve Coeur lake, which is out in west county (I live in the city). He lives in South County. Who would have "thunk" we'd bump into each other...wow. He looks good though...he thanked me for turning him on to low carb. When I met him he weighed 320. Last time I saw him he was in 240's. He said he was down to 220 at 6'3".

I was overjoyed to be able to ride around the lake (2.5 miles I think) without knee pain! Finally healing from the accident! Woot
Been going to the chiro 3 weeks getting massage/adjustments....it's been great! Feel like I can start to get back to my old weight training routine again. 2 knuckles on my right hand are still sore, think I tore something in them...but they are getting better also.
There is a light at the end of this old tunnel!

Sorry been awol, lots of happenings last week, owner almost gave my job to a company...I think I have this apartment til spring, but need to plan to have enough income to pay for an apartment and a car note.
Was supposed to start that part time training on Friday. Wedenesday I got a call from a staffing agency about a full time doc control position (what I used to do). Went in Wednesday, took the tests Wednesday night, they called on Thursday evening wanting to set up an interview on Friday. She said they were wanting me to interview for a higher position in Quality control (did that in 99). I cancelled the month training for the part time job telling them I now needed more than 15 - 20 hours a week. I interviewed at at Nomax. The quality director was a woman that couldn't have been more than 30. I graduated from college in 1997, so people are expecting someone more like 35 than 55, lol. We didn't really click. She was looking for someone with vast managerial experience which I don't have, she then said she didn't think I'd be challenged by the doc control position. I didn't want to tell her that it would indeed challenge me. I'm having major memory concentration problems and the detail oriented work (a lot of proofing) would be hard enough. LOL
The next woman was older and we hit if off. She told me I had a good personatlity. Then I found out that she is the owner. Her and her husband founded the company in 1980 I think. It's a great company with really good bennies. I should have left my gpa from the university off my resume: 3.86.
I can't do the work I used to be able to do. I did wet chemistry for almost a year...now if I was put in a lab....nothing comes to mind. My name was on a scientific journal for stanols research, but I don't remember a thing about it!! It's scary. I'd have to be taught all over.
Anyway, wish I would have dumbed down my resume. I need to call the staffing agency and impress upon them that I just want to work for that company if only to answer the phones...
Food, carby darn
