I miss my meat! LOL
Pain subsided pretty much last night. I think gas-x is helping. Hungry.
Made banana flaxmeal bread and had a piece for breakfast. That may have been a mistake because it's such a dense food and sitting like a lump on my stomach....I'll find out by the end of the day/tonight. Still only slept about 4 hours. Need to reign some energy to start cleaning an empty apartment downstairs. Also going to paint the very small kitchen and bath if I get motivated.
Tarrrrrred.
Wonder if I will be able to return to my high fat fare? Really missing my food, going through meat withdrawals...but my gi tract is definitely messed up from going to sleep on a full stomach all this time...hope I don't have the hiatal hernia.

Got a burst of energy today! Stomach is fine!! Wonder if I can skip the medicine in the morning, hmmm.
Patched 3 holes in the walls (thanks to youtube instruction) and 2 in the door. I gave this tenant a 30 day notice to move and he wasn't too happy.
The stove was the worst. I think he may have done it purposely. The entire oven was black from the ceiling down to the storage drawer. Even the racks were completely black. Had to scrap each rod with a razor scraper.
It was oddly therapeutic!!! feeling really good.
wonder if it is the extra carbs boosting my serotonin levels because I'm in the midst of pms, and I feel good tonight!
I don't know and really can't explain it but so grateful for this whoosh of good mood.
Grateful for the black oven which gave me a good lil workout tonight.
Speaking of...need to get back to the gym tomorrow.

I'm beginning to feel a lil bit of spring, even though it cold, forecasts are for warm weather this weekend...and don't we forward the time? It'll be lighter an hour later....woohoooeeee

Finally got 6 hours of sleep last night after several nights of 3 to 4 hours.
When I got the "gerd" last week I was afraid to put anything on my stomach, stopped my supplements and as of yesterday am totally off wellbutrin also. Hopefully I didn't go off of it too quickly.
Was eating low fat diet, no meat, the past few days. Weighed 142.4 this morn and 143 is my red flag weight so I need to curb the carbs and get back to where I was. (140 to 142 is a good weight for me)
Unfortunately, this morning I had the toasted banana flaxmeal bread (god it gets better every day in the fridge), some s.f. peanut butter and raisins sprinkled on top. Going to have to throw out those raisins, they are like sugar!!! Was successful staying away from sugar and wheat (since Christmas) but did have corn this past week.
Rented another one of my apartments this morning. Spent the past two days getting the apartments ready, still haven't made it to the gym but hopefully I'll get back to my eating/working out routine tomorrow.
I'm going to Ponderosa this afternoon with my dad and brother, haven't seen dad since Christmas I think.
Still job searching....

Shouldn't have weighed tonight. We didn't get to ponderosa until 3pm. Was starving and started eating their hot rolls...had their shrimp special, greasy and breaded, dessert. So broke my 2+ month no sugar no wheat regime. I literally have wheat belly tonight. Look pregnant! Should have stayed off the scale: 147 oh my! I'm normally 142ish at night (except this week). Pretty bad food (salad bar was good though). If I was going to have wheat I should have went to Red Lobster for their garlic cheddar biscuits instead. What a waste! LOL
Anyway, got a call from the dermalogist office and have an interview Thursday at noon!
And my former tenant at Quest Diagnostics put a good word in for me with her boss. I posted my resume on their website, she is supposed to look at it tomorrow!!!
Woohoo.
Now I have to do meat the next couple of days to lose this big ole fat WHEAT BELLY so I can fit in my interview garb!
So excited. Hope I get the dermo receptionist job. It's part time to start Mon, Wed, Fri. Perfect!!!

Oh yea, quit smoking 7 months today! woohoo!

Thanks ladies.
It's been a hard day.
The owner told me not to get an apartment ready until I had it rented.
That proved a challenge this week.
I found a tenant who needs to be in the apartment this sunday.
It needed repairs in the walls, repairs in the door where the previous tenant had kicked it in.
New carpet.
This was the challenge. The installer could only do it tomorrow and it had to be paid for today.
I tried to reach the owner for 2 days. Come to find out he just got back from Iran.
This was stressful, not knowing if the carpet was going to be paid for in time for installation to get this woman in on time.
I also had to go to city hall to pay for the inspection this morning. That was also a major stress wondering if I could get it done this week.
I couldn't turn the key to start my car this morning.
I tried turning the steering wheel, making sure it was in park, all the regular checks.
My cell phone was dying and I was calling the automatic start place to see if it was a glitch with their system.
an hour later I'm contemplating calling a tow, wondering if my car will be done by my interview, wondering how I was going to pay for it....
I asked the maintenance man if he had wd40 to spray in the ignition and he found my steering wheel locked. That was it.
Felt like an idiot but also euphoric that I had my car...
Got the inspection scheduled for Friday thankfully.
Was emotionally and physically exhausted.
And tired of facing all these emotional hardships on my own. No dh or dbf to lean on.
It all just stuck me like a tsunami wave.
I layed on the futon and couldn't get up.
A friend I hadn't talked to in a long time called.
She is in therapy and has gone through alot of what I have gone through in the past.
making positive painful changes in her life.
I just cried.
We talked 2 hours and I felt less alone.
Grateful.

You aren't alone girl! I am sorry you had so much stress! I am so happy your friend called and you all talked for so long! It is important to keep in touch with those relationships. Maybe you should strive to touchbase with a friend every other day? Maybe someone you haven't talked to in a while? You would be shocked at how wonderful your friends can make you feel, even if you just speak on the phone. When you reach out, try to set up some face time too? Dinner? movie? Or just to walk the mall! Get out of that house when you can girl.

I can PM you my cell number. YOu are always welcomed to call ME!!!!!!

thanks ladies! Slept from midnight til 4am last night. Exhausted
Already have a new tenant issue.
I approved the application for this retired gentleman.
His son and 2.5 y/o granddaughter accompanied him when he came by a few times this week for deposit/rent/lease tasks.
I went over to the apartment twice this week and his son and grandbaby were there. never saw the grandad.
The maintenance man and I went over there this morning to look at the thermostat, no one was home but it smelled like pot and there was a tiny roach in the ashtray.
Toddlers toys in the livingroom.
I think the grandad put the lease in his name because his son can't get one on his own.
I am so pissed! I've had to get rid of an alcoholic, a gambler and the last druggie guy and I'm fed up.
i was so excited that I rented the apartment in my building so a young lady that just graduated law school.
Now I'm stuck with ghetto behavior in my adjacent building again. Next door to him is a graduate student. I do not want to lose her as a tenant.
I left the grand dad a pretty scathing message. He hasn't returned my call yet.
Sigh, I told my owner i had two apartments out of the 4 rented.
I was sooo excited.
Not so low carb, eating nuts, yogurt, berries the last two days. But I guess it's better than the alternative, huh?
Interview tomorrow at noon. Wish me luck!!

Ughhhh! Sounds like you are right. If you can get proof he's not living there, you can evict him, can't you?

the owner wants to avoid paying a lawyer at all costs....he probably won't understand why we need to evict someone that has been living in the building a few days. LOL
Anyway, the dad never returned my call last night.

Yesterday went from bad to worse.
Went out to get my hair trimmed for the interview
On the way home drove through Lee's Chicken for a roasted chicken thigh
My car has dark tinted windows, so much at night I have to roll down the window to see when I'm turning.
I was so exhausted I didn't notice the yellow concrete post next to the speaker at Lees.
After my order I pulled out fast and it crunched the whole side of my car.
At first I thought the noise was my side mirror being retracted (done that before).
After I got home I saw the damage.
All four panels are affected.
yellow paint and crunched areas of the doors, chipped paint down to the metal.
Now I understand reports that driving exhausted is just like driving drunk.
What should have cost two dollars and ten cents will end up costing over a thousand dollars which is probably a conservative estimate....if I could afford to fix it, anyway.
Note that I'm ocd about my car. A little scratch upsets me every time I see one. ha!
My cousin said he can get someone to buff most of the yellow out and I'll have to buy some primer for the metal spots today because they are going to start to rust.
Only slept 4 hours again last night. Wide awake with stress.
Interview, here I come in about 6 hours! LOL

I wish ladies! I drove down highway 40 was supposed to get off on ballas road, inadvertently got off on Lindbergh (the exit before) and didn't even realize I was on the wrong road until I passed Monsanto. I had 7 minutes to get to the doctors office for the interview and started panicking because when I got off on Olive I was stuck in lunch rush. I was 2 minutes late and totally flustered.
he asked me why I wanted the receptionist job when I had the MA training. My brain wouldn't work and I really couldn't articulate it.
Stopped by school afterward to print my resume for the 9am interview for the volunteer position.
I stopped and talked to the teacher that set it up. She said she could see stress rising off of me like steam and I needed to come down before the interview tomorrow.
She asked if I drank wine. lol
I said not anymore but maybe a beer, but that wouldn't help me from waking up at 4am.
Ladies, keep your fingers crossed that I get some need rest for this old brain of mine tonight....
She said it I get the volunteer job, that it will be challenging, the doctor is 70 years old and has sent many MA's away crying, that I can't take it personally. That I will be crossed trained on everything if I just hang in there.....it's where she used to work. She lasted 2 years and was able to develop a very thick skin that has proven useful in her life overall. But it's hard.
whew....

I finally got some sleep last night
The world seems like a different place today.
Got my sanity back
The crumpled drivers side of my car doesn't even make me cringe quite as much today.
I will be interning on Mondays and Tuesdays at the doctor office at DePaul Hospital.
I'll be doing lots of ekgs (finally yay) and routine tests for patients (blood glucose etc) immunizations. He's a general practitioner and I'll be able to see patients of all ages.
They are hiring for one position in 3 weeks.
It will be between me (if I do well) and Josh from my class.
He's young, handsome and a charmer.
The women in the office will fall in love with Josh baby. LOL
Anyway, the problem tenant paid his rent for March last night. It was a lot off my mind.
Still haven't heard from the father of the pothead that moved in, but not going to ruin my weekend over it.
A guy I used to go motorcycling with a couple/three years ago...we are probably going to do something tomorrow. His divorce was final last month and he's lonely too.
Now I need to do the final clean on an apartment I'm renting for tomorrow.
Need to clean my place also.
Then I can have some peace of mind tonight when relaxing....finally....

ps: it's really true how extreme sleep deprivation and stress can make you a screaming meamie crazy lady ...with no hope.

My cousin Teno was in a bad motorcycle accident friday. The story is that someone hit him from behind and the force threw him over an overpass. Internal bleeding, they removed spleen, gallbladder, lacerated liver. Left arm/hand is fine, the rest of his limbs are mangled and broken. He's in an induced coma. They had to stabilize him before surgery this morning. Were able to stop the internal bleeding and sew him up for good. He faces months of surgeries on his limbs. Who knows if he will walk again.
He's lucky to be alive and lucky he was driving in Missouri (mandated helmets) and not Illinois where he lives (no helmet law). So relieved he's stable now.
Went to the hospital with dad and two of my brothers yesterday, we all went out to dinner afterward. Makes you appreciate family when this happens.
Eating is out of whack still. beers at dinner last night didn't help.
Trying to get my motivation back.
My body did finally make up for a lot of sleep last night. Slept about 10 hours, didn't even get out of bed til 11am.
Feel relaxed.
Need to get lunch, scrubs all laid out for tomorrow's externship at the doctors office.
I will be there from 8.30 to about 5.30ish or until they are done.
They have lunch catered every day from pharmaceutical reps, but I'm taking my low carb chili for lunch....or should I partake to be one of the gang my first week there?
I'll see what kind of food shows up.
Wow, it feels so good to be completely rested and calm. No storms on the horizon...
It feels really good to have somewhere to be tomorrow....and Tuesday....a routine..

How horrible for your cousin! My prayers are out for him. I too am thankful he was in MO. KS doesn't have a helmet law either. It infuriates me. Seat belts required, helmet for exposed HEAD, NOT! HUH????

Have a great day as an intern today. See what the food is, either way, be sure to hang with the crowd at lunch. It is best for you to mingle and be with people right now!

It went pretty well at the doctor's office.
My feet are killing me. My whole body is sore.
Didn't think how much I would be standing.
The other student found a job today.
Meeting the inspector tomorrow.
Back at the doctor's office Wednesday and whatever other day I want.
Got a call and have an interview Wednesday at 5.30 at a hemorrhoid clinic
All day full of buttholes. LOL
Weighed 146.4 this morn.Groan.
Thinking about going back on the wellbutrin.
Trying to get back the motivation.
Send some motivation vibes my way!

She's right, you look good! A couple won't change that. They will go away when things settle down for you.

Sending good vibes your way wrapped in bacon!
