Well, ladies it was a pure delight seeing all your messages! Makes me feel loved!!!
It's been a week since the hellacion of the week before. I'm recovering. Extinguish one fire and up comes another when I was finally taking an ahhhhh this evening.
The owner of my buildings sent a sarcastic text a couple of hours ago. "THANKS adam charged me $2860.00". Adam is the maintenance man who formed a maintenance company with his cousin. The past 3 months he's had a 20something "trainee" working. I okayed major work to be done. The owner in the past had said it was okay...but Adam did most of the work here in the last 6 weeks. The owner is not a timely payer. He was angry to start because he's been losing money on these two buildings from the start. He fired two management companies and hired me because he thought he'd save money. I do have a 60 notice contract in case he decides to fire me. But I need to find a job soon to be able to afford to move in a couple of months. This free apartment is so nice and saved my butt while I've been out of substantial work for 2 years, but it has been a pain.
I signed up to take the medical assistant certification test next Friday. Most of the study material I see we really didn't cover much in class. I'm going to have to really cram/learn to do this. Have 6 days.

Ya know what? I'm not going to let my fears about the owner drive me this weekend. I really need to chill and study. Weight was 139 this morn....haven't lifted weights in over a week...losin' some muscle cells...

Today I cooked some tilapia, I had some low carb "breading" in the freezer made with flax meal/spices. Dipped them in melted butter, breading and slid them on the foreman grill. Made some low carb tartar sauce. Yum, then I had a big, fat, low carb flaxmeal brownie. Was wonderin' what those lil white flat pieces that looked like mini rice was in the breading....coconut. LOL

Haven't eaten since, thinking about a big bowl of low carb coleslaw mixed in with some leftover chicken breast from a rot chicken, then later a lil greek yogurt with cinnamon and blueberries....golly I'm making myself hungrier! LOL

Again, I know I should be embarrassed to post my food pics with all the gorgeous fancy low carb food photos on here (I should have at least used a pretty plate.....but I'm not embarrassed!

Hey ladies, crazy with tenant stuff going on . Not ready trying to cram for the Medical Assistant Certification test on Friday. Spent half this week trying to teach myself ekg stuff that we didn't learn in class. I'll have to really get lucky, because I haven't had time to go over much and my memory is non existant half the time. Will catch up soon!!!

Just finished 160 questions and I passed, which is a miracle because I guessed on about half. Didn't get my score but I know I made at least a 70%. Now I can ahhhhh for the weekend and start looking for a job!

Major stresses trying to deal with tenant issues (one has turned out to be a crack addict?) I'm figuring he was the one that stole our bikes this summer and stole mine and another tenants renewal sticker 1.5 weeks ago. Luckily, his lease is up March 1st and I gave him notice of non renewal, but he kind of went berzerk ended up in jail for the night. I still have one apartment empty and another woman that can't pay her rent. As you know I'm not in favor with the owner right now anyway...I'll have to face that music when he comes to town this coming weekend. Haven't been sleeping, and doing major stress eating for two days. I need to find a job so I can get out of this place. This job has been toxic for me for a long time. I'll sure miss the free rent though....
Anyway, back on the horse again. I worked out Sunday for the first time in two weeks and will haul but there tonight...

Didn't get to the gym, my ex called from newport ri, I almost didn't pick it up. He was at his ex fiance's home this morning (where he's been staying again) she started feeling pain in her chest and down her arm. he called the ambulance and by the time she got to the hospital and they did cpr...it had been 35 minutes. B couldn't reach the family until 45 minutes of being 02 deprived. Her daughter from California told the doctor not to put her on life support. She was 61. He said that she had high blood pressure and refused to stop smoking. She contacted me through facebook in December after going through an extremely stressful 4 months of living with him....(asked me about the restraining order I had gotten last year). It was the day she was kicking him out, at the time, anyway....
I remember thinking if it weren't for the circumstances we could have been friends. I really liked her in the short period of time we communicated.
This is really tragic. B said her daughter didn't want him at the wake or the funeral.
I feel bad, but emotionally I don't want to be drawn into all of this...

Talking to a friend from school on facebook. She's taking her daughter to day care and picking me up at 10.00 am tomorrow. She's going to get her hair cut (it's down her back, she's 31 y/o) and we are going to hit a dollar movie.
I need some fun. So glad I'm getting out tomorrow!

Was watching an interview of the cast of Silver Linings with Bradley Cooper and Robert Deniro. A very personal movie for the director whose son (in his twenties now) has a severe mood disorder and the profound effect this mental illness on has had on his family, his son and his life. I saw the movie and it was excellent. I think I'll go see it again. My ex is bipolar and it gave me more insight into his disorder and more empathy.
I haven't been to church in months and this Sunday I had a yearning to go back. I got ready, walked out on my porch to meet about 5 inches of drifted snow. By the time I shoveled the steps and dug out my car it was too late to go.
But I need to get back. I'm letting myself get swallowed by the self absorbed negativity of late. I want to get back to the positive things I was doing not too long ago....meditation, afformations and what I'm going to do tonight.....some praying for what my ex is going through, his gf's dear family.....

no emotional eating today. And the stress eating I did do for a couple of days was with low carb food, not the sugar flour crap I used to "use"....a big change...the baby steps of maintenance.

Slept from 1.30 to 4.30 last night and a stressed mind kept me awake (and stress hormones I guess lol)
Took hold of some positive and did 50 minutes of afformations, 20 minutes of meditation and now I'm doing some internet job searching.
Reconnected with a friend from years ago I used to motorcycle with. tim. Never a love connection, just a friend. We may do a movie soon, Get me outta the house.
Heather cancelled this morning for the salon. Just as well because I'm tuckered. But, I am going to really try and anchor some energy to go work out. If I don't I'll for sure do it tomorrow. I'm finally starting my volunteering at hope hospice tomorrow. I'll meet the coordinator at a facility to meet my "client" around 11am. It'll be good to focus on someone other than myself.

Slept 10 hours last night! Woohooie.
Saw my gyn doc yesterday afternoon at the clinic. Good thing I called earlier, because I thought my appt was this afternoon. She gave me the nuva ring in hopes that it will help with my severe pms right now. I used it a few years ago, but went off because I was losing hair and gained some weight. But I'd rather be bald and fat than go through what I've been through in the past month! Haven't inserted it yet. Hope I remember how to do it.
Monday marked 6 months that I've stopped smoking. Thank god or I wouldn't be able to do the birth control because of the risks.
Went to St. Alexian Nursing home this morning with the volunteer coordinator and met my 3 clients. One lady is 68 and has cirrhosis of the liver, another is 81 and has dementia and the third is 78 and has COPD. They all were pretty friendly, can't wait to get to know them...I'll head out there Sunday on my own.

In August, before my uterine ablation, my doctor took my fsh levels (high levels will indicate you are getting close to menopause) mine was 5.8. I'll past the scale below. She took them again yesterday. Curious to see what they are now.

FSH Levels Female:

Before puberty: 0 - 4.0 mIU/ml
During puberty: 0.3 - 10.0 mIU/ml
Women who are menstruating: 4.7 - 21.5 mIU/ml
Postmenopausal: 25.8 - 134.8 mIU/ml

I'll be 56 in September. Haven't had a hot flash or night sweat yet....but this severe perimenopausal pms is kicking many butts!
