Sleep: woke up 2 hours before alarm, but energized
Mood: really good
Afformations: 40 minutes
Exercise: tomorrow

Really good day at school/work again. Didn't get my venipuncture though, it was the end of the lab and I was feeling rushed (sorry Barbiel) and her vein was harder to find. Next time I know not to do it when running out of time. I get a bit stressed and discombobulated.
Heard back from Michael. Didn't think I would. His birthday is tomorrow (he's 60 and doesn't want to be reminded lol) Anyway tonight I made his favorite chicken mole and spanish rice. Hope it turned out okay. Didn't taste it. He's stopping by around 11pm tonight after work to pick it up. Got a little present for him too....
We are supposed to do something on the weekend....

I hope, but we'll see, maybe he's had enough time to process me as a friend.

Wednesday December 5, 2012
Weight: 143
Sleep: not enough, it's catching me tired today
Afformations: over an hour
Mood: good until the clock hit 5pm. Then the hour fight with traffic, but I'm listening to my afformation voice tape about patience and it distracts me while I'm kissing the bumper parked ahead of me in a long line of traffic. LOL....actually it really works...
Exercise: Weight Machines - Is this my third week of doing it three times a week? If not, next week will be. WooHoo

Two nights of sleep deprivation are taking it's toll today. And I think I'm starting to pms (if I'm on the 21 day cycle, I'll be starting next week) craving chocolate....but then I'm always hungrier when I don't sleep.

But it's all good! I'm grateful that I'm half way through school. I'm grateful for my lil job, grateful I had another successful blood draw today, grateful I got myself to the gym and pushed some iron.

Made a tortilla with egg whites, psyllium flour, a lil onion powder
Added some lc pizza sauce, mexican cheese and a few turkey pepperonis lying dormant in my fridge.
It was like a pizza burrito.

It was yum!!!! My tum is happy full!

Woke up sick on Thursday, sore throat sinus stuff. Went to doctor got some meds and an excuse from school, went to school late, worked and told instructor I was going to stay home today to rest. Ha! What a joke, was running in and out with tenant and maintenance issues since 10 am. I finally get to sit down now, and its almost 5pm.
Wow, I would have gotten more rest if I'd gone to school! LOL

Strangest thing happened to me. I felt like I was getting sick yesterday. Sore throat and a little cough. I popped 5, 1,000 mg. Vit. C
I feel brand new today!

thanks ladies, what is garlic tea? Never heard of it! Been taking the prescription strength pseudophrine(?) and a mucous thinner It's helping, and I started popping garlic capsules and upped my vitamin C to 2000 mg. Wish I could have slept in, only slept 5 hours woke before 6am darn. Weight is down today ( I was up 2 pounds), hardly ate anything yesterday, the mucous thinner kills the appetite I think...yay.

Woke at 8.30 rolled over and slept til 10.00 yay

Was coughing when I got up but it seems to have subsided. Did too much again today, up and down 3 flights of steps outside to do laundry (blankets) took the heavy duty curtains down in the bedroom and decided they needed to be washed too. lol
Cooked low carb chili for the week, thinking about baking some flaxmeal brownies. We are just doing microsoft word all day at school tomorrow. May take a real R&R day and stay home...and do nothing?... LOL

Stayed home today, we were trapped by the parking lot gate. Been trying to organize the managers on the block to get the thing fixed. Gate froze in a 3/4 closed position. A woman raised hell about not getting to work on time with her landlord. This crisis moved up our repair date to today instead of a week or so. It was bitterly cold and I was in and out all day conferring with the repair man and my maintenance guy. Feel more under the weather now. LOL
Back to school no matter what tomorrow. Maybe I'll rest next weekend...

Sneaked down the block and did the weight machines on one outing. My feet are still cold from this afternoon. Going to get in a nice hot milk bath and ahhhhhh...

You live very close to my nephew and his family. They moved here from Alaska this summer before it got real hot. She had a temp. gauge on her dash and when it reached 100 plus I asked her if she was warm enough yet. And you don't live far from me either. It is so cold today!!!!! I saw it snowing in Texas on the news. I bet yall get some snow. I hope we do. I am not far from Memphis!

Doesn't sound like you need anti. to me. Rest, homemade chicken broth and V-C
I have the same issue's as it sounds like you both have. It is sinus, I am a betting. Nasty air and all. I stopped the C for a couple days and bamm that sickie symptoms came back!

I'm just saying..... save the anti for the flu........

Ah, started coughing up yellow stuff at school Friday, left at 1pm and sat at the clinic, got an antibiotic, hopefully that will kick this thing out of me.
Bad news on the school. They failed the state audit, especially the job placement part. None of the students that graduated this year has found a job in what they studied. My gf got a job at a sports medicine clinic 2 weeks ago and was fired wednesday. they said she didn't even have basic clinic knowledge. And she is one of the smartest in class.
We do our labs at our desks, we don't even have a "clinical space". I know I'm not ready, medical assistants are supposed to be proficient at doing EKG's and we don't have the equipment because it's too expensive. So how she has taught us is to read the chapter on it. And the certificate we get really doesn't translate to the field. I have a month left and feeling like it's a waste of time. Lost 4 months of income and now I get the 100.00 week which will end when I graduate.
Oh well, I need to find a volunteer/shadow position before I apply for jobs so I can learn on the job without pay what I'm doing!!

Bright note....gorgeous warm weather today in St. Louie

Luckily it was a grant. I'm going to still keep going, but I'm applying for work big time again...I'll have a "certificate" on January 13th. And I want the student worker work while I can get it and I have to be a student...

Sleep: 7good
Mood: okay
Afformations: distracted, didn't do em.
Exercise: really didn't feel like it but got my behind to the gym and did the weight machines...

Did end having a big splurge on Friday at the pot luck. There were 4 different desserts and bosian pita sandwiches etc and I ate it all! LOL
Compensated that night and the rest of the weekend by eating lean and mean! It was easy because I'm on an antibiotic that I cannot eat at least 2 hours before and 2 hours after I take it. Plus no dairy, magnesium, calcium and iron supplements... and I'm a big consumer of dairy...

Saw Silver Linings with my Cousin this weekend. Great movie: the girl from hunger games, robert deniro, bradley cooper. Two thumbs up!
In the movie deniro was always wanting bradley to watch the philly game with him. At one scene toward the end, he admitted that he just wanted to spend more time with his son, that he knew he was a bad father and not there for him when he was younger. Asking him to watch the games with him was his attempt to make it up.
Reminded me of my father - same generation. It's easier for him to perform an action of caring than to directly express it.....men are so much more comfortable at doing and trying to solve problems than to emotionally address something vulnerable. That's testosterone in play.

Yep going to finish the school thing, the grant paid for it and hardly anyone hires during the holidays anyway....
