Izzy, attraction is important but I do believe that sometimes it can grow. For instance, many times people have been good friends and then, BAM one day it hits them to be more. KWIM? Besides, once you get started kissing and such, you may find that he is as good with his body as he is with everything else!!!!!!!!
Not superficial at all...but be patient it may be there! |

Thanks ladies!!! Michael and I are going to a local theater group to see a musical comedy Saturday evening, we'll probably do dinner first. I'll take it one step at a time.
Weighed 146.5 this morn! Yesterday was a carb up day and I had about 100 grams of nongluten carbs (calories under 1500) I've only been eating two meals within a 5 to 6 hour window. It seems to be working. It's easy because I live alone and don't have to cook for others. Anyway, I usually eat the 2 meals between 2ish and 8ish. Some days I don't have any hunger during the day, other days I'm hungry and try to fill up with liquids. The days I have social plans earlier, I'll just eat earlier....

Sorry a lot of stress on the home front with tenant issues, thought I may lose this apt manager job and lose my free apartment (payment for hence job). I've been out of income since the last week in July, finances are a stress right now.
But, I've managed to stay 146 to 147. Haven't let the stress affect my eating much. This is a first! I still need to get back to the gym, joints have been hurting and I've let that keep me away. I just need to do it again. |

I'm going to try to track my stuff like I used to to get back in the distracting/soothing techniques I started to learn from my old therapist. When you want to overeat, distracting techniques can be used to focus your energy on something physical or something mentally challenging. knitting, talking to someone, crossword puzzles, word games, math, going outside for a walk, scrubbing the floor. I didn't want to overeat tonight, but was emotionally very stressed about something, so I tore into drawers and cabinets and organized. Cleaned out my toolbox for the first time in years. Now it's really late and I can go to bed. Another distracting technique that is also soothing hopefully
![]() Weight: 146.6 Sleep: 5.5 (not enough but felt okay today) Mood: motivated Meditation: 10 mins Afformations: started doing them again Exercise: cleaned my apt. lol Distracting activity: cleaning, playing words with friends Soothing activity: meditation, afformations Found out that I start morning classes for medical assistant next Tuesday - the grant was approved. I may get a job there as receptionist working 3 hours after work Mon - Friday. I'll find out next week hopefully. That little salary and my food stamps will get me through until the course is over mid January. I haven't had to be anywhere in over a year and a half since I lost my job. Excited to have a focus again. Michael and I may go up to the bluff to a winery in Grafton Illinois tomorrow if it doesn't rain - supposed to be in the upper 70's. Aeries Winery and Vacation Villas We'll take pictures of the changing leaves in between the raindrops perhaps. We may try to squeeze in Argo with Ben Affleck. It's getting rave reviews! Making chicken mole and spanish rice tomorrow night for michael for all the nice things he's done for me. He's been a true friend and been putting up with my stressful personality the last two weeks. LOL It should be smooth sailing this weekend... ![]() I made a low carb "cornbread" yesterday with low carb chili. I used to love a peanut butter sandwich with my chili growing up. I slapped some peanut butter on the cornbread and dipped it in my chili. I was in hog heaven! ![]() ![]() Last edited by Izzysdream; 10-12-2012 at 09:52 PM.. |

Had a nice saturday with michael, we didn't go to the winery, we thought it'd rain so we had a cozy dinner at my place and went to see Argo with Ben affleck. Next Sunday Nikki Hill is playing at a place in Soulard and we are going for a late brunch. Hopefully it'll be nice and we can sit out. If the weather cooperates we will try to hit the winery in grafton and take pics. We went for an omelet at city diner this afternoon. I took pics and got a few shots of trees in Tower Grove, but it was overcast and dulled the colors. Left my camera in the car or I'll post tomorrow.
Weight: didn't weigh today Sleep: 5.5 still not enough - feeling tired the past two days Meditation: 20 minutes Exercise: Callanetics abs and weight machines at the gym (forced forced forced myself to go) Distracting activities: reorganized all the cabinets in the kitchen, playing words with friends Soothing activies: afformations, meditation (an ****** oops lol) stretching, it's too late to take a bath, darn. Staying really low carb today. Tomorrow is my last day free until I start classes on Tuesday. Excited and a bit nervous. |

Did you and Micheal like Argo? I have seen the preview and I do like Ben Affleck!
We have relatives that moved to St Louis earlier this year. My H's brother's son. married with 2 kids. Coast Guard. Moved home after being in Alaska for 10 years! I told her she should have stayed in the cold. It was the hottest any of them had been in a very long time! St. Louis is a hot city. The love it there. Have you tried Melatonin for sleep? I have been taking 2 and half mg. for several years. Works like a charm. It takes a couple months to get fully into your system but it is so worth the time. I sleep like a baby! And have very sweet dreams too! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hi ladies!!! Going to a 13 week class for Medical Assistant Training. Go for 5 hours in the morning. I'm overwhelmed. Only slept 4 hours last night. Have 5 chapters to cover by Thursday, homework on all of them is due and a test on Friday. I only got through 3/4 of a chapter tonight. I'm going to have to spend at least 5 hours a day reading/studying. I won't be here much this week, but will catch up on the weekend.
Weight: 144.2 Sleep: 4 Mood: nervous, pretty good, exhausted Meditation: getting in the bath after this and will do one Afformations: 30 minutes in the car Exercise: didnt' have time to get to the gym. Too tired for abs. Will do something tomorrow! Weight was the lowest in over a year maybe? Had really low carbs the past 3 days, so lost some water. Will try to carb up tomorrow. LOL Smooches ladies!!! |

Thanks gals! I have some in my drawer somewhere I'll have to look for it.
Weight: 144.2 Sleep: 5.0 (running on exhaust fumes) Mood: I can do this! Meditation: 10 mins in the morn, 20 this evening Afformations: 30 + mins while driving Exercise: was too exhausted after studying to leave apt. I did upper body with resistance tubes and 300 callanectics ab exercises I so didn't wanna. Proud I did Distracting activity: studying Soothing activity: meditation, afformations, stretching, journaling here. Today was better at school. The quiz tomorrow is on medical terms and the test on Friday is on muscle chapter in the book. Studied my ass off today (til 7pm). Feel confident. The instructor isn't very good. She used to be a nurse and is good at the lab stuff (showed us venapuncture today) but she doesn't know her stuff. Told us hypoglycemia is high blood sugar today. Can't answer some questions etc. I would normally get an attitude about this and just be pissed. But I'm going to order the study guide for the certification test and it will direct me what I need to study. I had two years of nursing school in 1990 so I'm familiar with alot of this (I remembered muscles today. lol) And frankly medical assistant is pretty low on the Medical Community totem pole. We mostly take vitals, give injections, and some drawing of blood. Because of the politics of the office, complaining will do no good. So I will make the best of it and learn what I need to on my own book wise. Today we learned how to tie the rubber tourniquet for drawing blood. It's trickier than it looks, there is a definite method to it. Here's a couple of pictures of the City Diner where Michael and I went Sunday. Cool Place. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Izzysdream; 10-17-2012 at 05:52 PM.. |
