Worked out Saturday with weights and worked out again this afternoon. Pmsy this week, kind of down Have to be at the hospital tomorrow morn at 5.30. Should be home before noon. Can't wait to get this ablation over with. They couldn't schedule my ultrasound before the procedure, so she will be going in "blind". Fingers crossed. |

Cousin took me to the hospital at 5.30 (he drove in from Illinois - so sweet) 30+ people were in line to register. I could have slept another half hour! LOL
Doc removed 2 polyps, did a d&c and the ablation. In recovery I was cramping really badly so they gave me more fentanyl in my IV (allergic to morphine). Photographer friend Michael brought me home. After a couple of hours realized I needed pads, I had taken about 1400 mg of ibuprophen and was feeling pretty good, so I drove to wal mart to get pads and picked up some groceries. I'm supposed to be lying down all day. I'll probably pay for tomorrow, so I think I should get my arse to the couch, stat! No working out for a week! Doing really well. Slept 11 hours the night after surgery, but only 3 last night (been awake since 3am). Just had some slight soreness yesterday, went on a motorcycle ride with my friend Lisa. Have to admit all the bumps were starting to get to me.
Anyway this procedure was a breeze! Think I'm going to work out tomorrow. Weight at 3am was 148, I'm probably lower at regular weight times. LOL |

Izzy you be careful wait to start doing so much, it is a pretty easy procedure but you dont want to cause more bleeding or something so slow down woman it is only a week!!!! You are going to feel so much better, my cousin and a GF had it done and they said it was the best thing ever to not deal with the horrible bleeding and cramps.

Izzy, I agree with Bejewel. Don't push it! Take it easy for a few more days. No need to over stress your body! I too have been very very pleased with my ablation. As I stated, I had it done in December and only spotted a little in Jan and Fed and since then, NOTHING! LOVE THAT!
Here is my Creamy Mexican Chicken recipe. 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces 1 Tbsp. taco seasoning mix 2 tsp. oil 1 can (15.5 oz.) kidney beans, rinsed (I USE BLACK BEANS) 1 tub (10 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Reduced Fat Savory Garlic Cooking Creme 1-1/2 cups shredded lettuce 1/2 cup pico de gallo 1/2 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Cheddar Cheese 4 cups multi-grain tortilla chips (4 oz.) make it TOSS chicken with taco seasoning. Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cook 6 to 7 min. or until done, stirring frequently. ADD beans and cooking creme; cook and stir 2 min. or until heated through. TOP with lettuce, pico de gallo and cheese. Serve with chips. I just put it on lettuce and add salsa and a small bit of cheese. Chips are not necessary. Next time I am going to add a can of mexican corn!

Had a great day yesterday, slept 12 hours til noon today. So bizarre, I usually never sleep like this. Will tonight be another 3 hour night? LOL
My doctor told me my insurance card at the sliding scale clinic I see her at would cover my surgery. I'm responsible for $12,000 hospital fees, my insurance paid her fee. I see her on the 3rd for post op visit. I'll have lots to discuss. |

Izzy I totally missed wishin' you well!! And now you're past it! This month has been a crazy whirlwind where I didn't know my ass from a hole in the ground!
I'm so thrilled you are doing well with a couple of exceptions. Please take things slowly and listen to your body. You are healing and also getting past the anesthesia and the fentanyl (great stuff btw). Taht's why the exhaustion. Sleep when you can as long as you can. Great thing about the surgeon's fees!!!MUAH!!! Sending great prayers to you sweetie!!! So glad you had help and support!

So much for slowing down, went to see clint eastwoods movie last night, dinner at Buffalo wild wings and out listening to blues (some dancin') with my photo buddy Michael. Going out a few more times for my birthday this week (thursday). Trying to restrict what I eat during the day, the days I'm going out to eat. Weighed 146.6, see if that sticks next week. LOL

Had two passes to see Pitch Perfect tonight. Had a birthday dinner at TGIF before the movie with Kat. Great feel good, funny as hxll movie. Go see it when it opens on Oct. 5th!
Had a low carb dinner, but a mini popcorn/butter at the show, kids little pack of gummies. That's all today except a low carb shake. Could have done without the popcorn. ![]() Going to carb down the next two days, do the big dinner/dessert on my birthday with my cousin on Thursday then another birthday bash on Saturday night. Can start to work out again tomorrow. Yay, gonna hit it hard! |

Two girlfriends took me to tuckers for lunch. Lisa was trying to get me to try the 20 oz juicy porkchop/pineapple.......I should have probably gotten it. Got the phillycheese steak sandwich without the bread. Was still hungry after! LOL
We took a drive to Lone Elk Park fed a couple of turtles then watched the Elk. This bull was trying to court a mare in mating ritual. It was national geographic hour! Afterward i went and worked out with Lisa at the Y as a guest. Fun Day. going to stay close to home tomorrow, run some errands stay low carb so I can splurge on Thursday. Saturday my photo buddy michael has a birthday surprise for me. He's not telling me about it, said he tell me on Friday how to dress? I've never had a surprise for my birthday, this is such a sweet thing to do! |

Weighed 147.8 this morn. Managed to stay in the 140's after last week of eating out for birthday celebrations. Last meal was sunday with my gf Mary; gourmet grilled cheese, freshly prepared potato chips tossed in truffle oil and freshly grated parmesan, glass of malbec and peanut butter chocolate cheese cake for dessert. I had just gotten down to 146.6 before all the celebrations! Some days I did IF'ing on my low carb days (0 to 30 carbs or less) and the days I went to eat - most of the time that particular meal is all I ate for the day. Tomorrow marks month 2 of not smoking! Yay! Lots of stress the last 3 days. Not eating over it. woohoo. Going to get back to my workout routine today.
