Needed to use up some cream cheese so made up a half recipe of low carb cheese cake in a loaf pan. Drizzled sugarfree hersheys syrup on top. Haven't tasted it yet.

It was pretty good! I halved the recipe and didn't want to half 3 eggs so I used 2, I had a little less cream cheese than the recipe called for and a bit less sour cream. Had two pieces. Up two pounds today! Gonna call it as water. LOL
This wellbutrin I'm on is constipating, so I know I've got a lot of "junk" inside also. My intake of liquids is a lot less since quitting smoking. I used to always have a diet lemonade or 7-up when I was chain smoking in my car. Didn't like the cig taste in my mouth. I'm probably drinking a fifth less than I used to. Going to concentrate on more water today.

Omigod just posted a long post listing my workout and lost it!!!

Had a great workout:

Inner/outer thigh: 80 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (33 1 inch pulses at the end of each set) 99 total
Leg Extension: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (33 1 inch pulses at the end of each set)
Prone leg curl: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8 - knees don't allow the pulses
Shoulder press: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (33 pulses at the end of each set)
Lateral raise: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (33 pulses at the end of each set)
Rear Delt Pec Fly: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (33 pulses at the end of each set)
Chest press: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (33 pulses at the end of each set)
Lat pulldown: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (33 pulses at the end of each set)
Seated row: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (33 pulses at the end of each set)

Did an hour of callanetics.
I cannot do the leg or kneeling moves because of my knees. That is why I have modified my weight machine moves with Callanetics moves. The pulses each set are killer hard. I already have bicep definition after 2 workouts. But I did the machines for years and really believe in muscle memory.

Food has been excellent today. No cravings. Very good day.

Doc finally called. Having my uterine ablation done on Sept. 17, 10 days before my birthday. Yay in a month no more periods!!!! It's gorgeous outside! Going to try to go for a bike ride later.
Going to see Mick tomorrow, he booked a hotel room because the friends he is staying with while he is in St. Louis are evidently driving him nuts. Hope it has a pool so we can go swimmin'. Were going to see the newest Bourne Identity...and a motorcyle ride.

August 17, 2012 BUTT BIKE RIDE

Went on a 40 minute non stop bike ride (fast clip) in forest park. Don't have a bike rack on the back of this old bike, didn't have my customary blanket, so didn't do my customary sprawl out under my customary, beautiful shade tree. Even made it up a hill I could only go half way before. My legs feel stronger. I have handlebar extensions on my bike which allow me to sit straight up. With each pedal down I clench the butt muscle which gives the movement more momentum. Takes the pressure off my knees.
Legs like jelly.
Good exercise, good food, good day.

Good to finally have this motivation back, never really got back into groove after tt in summer of 2008.

Izzy - my children loved the Timothy movie. I thought Sparkle was really good. My son saw the Snow White movie and said it was great. I will catch it on DVD when it is out.

Recovery?? Well, I had it done on a Thursday and by that Monday I was able to resume my 5 mile a day walking. Now the cramping stuck around a while but I just took Advil for it. I never did take any of the pain meds they sent home with me. The worst part was the day of. The cramping was bad. When I got home I used a heating pad on my tummy. I had taken Friday off to "recover". My Mom had come just to hang with me, we ended up marthon shopping that next morning. so I didn't take it easy at all and I did fine. HTH

Izzy I'm so thrilled you have surgery scheduled and can't wait till you have it and are back on the road to recovery. Your bike ride sounded fun and scary all at the same time. Something about squeezing with every pedal downforce. Sheesh! Your workouts also look legendary!!! You rock. You will have no trouble recovering from surgery!!

Monday, August 20, 2012 workout
Workout was limited, curl machine inflamed my knee, inner/outer thigh machine stressed my lower back. Callanetics thigh/butt exercises on the floor stressed my lower back also.
Again, I tried to do too much too soon with too many injured joints.

Going to take about 3 days off for legs and just do stretches.
Food: Excellent
Sleep: 8
Smoke: no way

Inner thigh machine/outer thigh: 80 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (20 1 inch pulses at the end final set) 20 total
Outer Thigh machine: 80 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (20 1 inch pulses at the end of of final set) 20 total
Leg Extension: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8
Prone leg curl: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8 - really hurt my right knee
Shoulder press: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (30 pulses at the end of final set)
Lateral raise: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (30 pulses at the end of final set)
Rear Delt Pec Fly: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (20 pulses at the end of final set)
Chest press: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (33 pulses at the end of each set)
Lat pulldown: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (20 pulses at the end of final set)
Seated row: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8

chinup machine: 25 pounds 3 sets of 8
dip machine: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8

Callanectics: abs and thigh/butt and stretches

It is so not worth it, you will be saving money I do think more exercise helps mentally!
Glad for the ablation everyone I know that has it feels 100% better!!!!

Been wanting to smoke the past couple of days, but didn't. Yesterday I didn't leave the apartment - right knee swollen. Was really sad that I can't exercise like a normal person anymore. What I would give to be able to do what I used to do. It'll pass, I go through these grieving my body parts phases from time to time. Sittin' on a lil pity pot.
Going to see my doctor this afternoon and get some lab results and particulars about my upcoming ablation. I'll go to Club Fitness (I typed "Med" by mistake - freudian yearning for a real vacation. lol) and work my upper body and be grateful for it today.

Club Med, LOL Don't we wish???

You are doing awesome it does get easier some days some days its all you think about just dont do it, one puff and you will be back like I try to tell Tony I think when you are a smoker you always like it, even though it smells terrible to me if I puffed I could do it and love it. Just stay away from anything tempting, after the first 2 weeks it is amazing it gets so much easier!

My cousin and her husband rented 2 different condos for Sept 5-9th near Branson - Tablerock Lake. They are driving down with their boat and celebrating Alan's retirement. Originally family was supposed to go with them but bailed out. I got invited to go. They have an extra bedroom with it's own bath. This could be a real "vacation" for me. LOL
Here's a pic my cousin sent for one of the places they are staying at, it has a lazy river!

August 24, 2012 Friday- weights workout
Joints were better today. Went off the depro provera pills yesterday. This week I was having severe memory problems, hair's been falling out like crazy. I thought maybe some of my medications/supplements were interacting. I read up some reviews on the hormone. One woman had terrible all over body aches, hair loss and I read that one of the severe side effects is sharp memory decline. I didn't take them yesterday and so far haven't really started bleeding again.

Workout:

Inner thigh machine/outer thigh: 80 pounds, 3 sets of 8 on outer, 2 sets on inner - straining knee (will have to decrease weight next time)
Outer Thigh machine: 80 pounds, 3 sets of 8
Leg Extension: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8
Seated leg curl: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (switched to seated - prone hurt the knee last time)
Shoulder press: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (30 pulses at the end of final set)
Lateral raise: 25 pounds, 3 sets of 8
Rear Delt Pec Fly: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (20 pulses at the end of final set)
Chest press: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (20 pulses at the end of each set)
Lat pulldown: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8 (20 pulses at the end of final set)
Seated row: 40 pounds, 3 sets of 8

Mick has tomorrow off, going to go see a movie, dinner and if he gets a hotel with a pool, swim!

Started logging food in ****** again. Was turned on to this site by a friend on another low carb site:
"Jenny's site is the only one I know aimed specifically at LC/WOE. And it assumes moderate (not high) protein needs, which is better for diabetics and blood sugar control. It lets you select the amount of carb you want to eat per day, then builds the rest of your needs around that"
I told it I would eat around 40g carb per day, and here's what it said for me in order to lose one pound a week:

TO LOSE 1 lb PER WEEK:

To lose 1 lb a week safely decrease your daily intake to 1,404 calories.

You have decided to eat 60 grams of carbohydrate a day. This is 12.6% of your total caloric intake.

Required Protein Intake: 70 grams of high quality protein.

This would be supplied by: 11.7 ounces or 329 grams of a high quality protein food like meat, fish, eggs, or cheese, which typically contain 6 grams of protein.

These recommendations are based on the fact that you are eating a ketogenic diet with an intake of 60 grams of carbohydrate a day.

Maximum Fat Intake: 98 grams.

For every 1 gram of protein you eat over 70 grams of protein, reduce your fat intake by .5 grams to stay within the calorie limits compatible with your weight loss goal.

Do not lower your fat intake below 29 grams, which is 30% of total calories.

Note: Calculated calories for nutrients will not match total calorie recommendation due to rounding during calculations.

These are my numbers so far tonight: (didn't have much appetite - I usually eat wayyyyy more!)

Still happy with this. I'm sure I've been eating at least 2500 calories most days (cycling carbs)..but probably lower carb. I selected light exercise for the calorie allotment. I can have 1624 if I exercise hard at least 3 times a week. I probably fall somewhere in between.
