Had a good day today, had a store credit for TJ Maxx and got me a badly needed new purse that will look good in interviews!
Food has been surprisingly good lately. Weighed 150.6 this morn. Went to therapy yesterday like a dog with my tail between my legs. Haven't been doing my homework much in the past three weeks. Made a new afformation tape and listened to it in the car. Will commit to do some meditation tonight. Did my stretches, still need to get my arse to club fitness (thank god for 10 dollar memberships) losing muscle and my joints are hurting more. Need to restrengthen the muscles supporting them. Been taking the progesterone pills a few days now, my TOM was supposed to decrease in flow but instead it has increased. Has me a bit concerned..but I'll be on it for 2 weeks until my uterine biopsy, hopefully it will be stopped by then. Kind of worried about being on the hormone, isn't it like the pill....cause I'm still smoking... ![]() This is going to sound crazy but I threw caution to the financial winds and bought some roller skates. They look like tennis shoes on skates. I ordered a mens size nine with room enough to put a cushiony insert inside the sole. My feet are too inflamed right now but once it goes down I am going to wrap up my knees and try to skate on the bike trail by my brothers place. It's perfectly flat and somewhat non threatening to an old woman attempting to skate after 20 years. I'd used to love it so. It could get my endorphins flying in high gear. I was sooo happy doing it! I need things in my life that bring me joy, don't we all? It may not work with my knees/feet but I wanted to give it a good college try. I miss being able to do the things that most take for granted.....like walking. LOL Anyway, below is a picture of my pipe dream for joy. Can't believe they are outside skates. I will definitely need the four wheels. Wonder if I can get training wheels to boot? ![]() The next picture of these may be a candid of me flat on my arse on the bike trail. Ha ![]() Kat called to remind me that we are going to a concert on Sunday night. She won tickets on a radio show. Should be fun. haven't talked to her since we went to church almost two weeks ago. I'm definitely crawling out of my isolation shell this weekend. A friend called with an offer to go to a resort in Indiana next weekend to make up for my lousy vacation. All expenses paid. But ya know there'd be a price in another area. ![]() A weekend on the beach would have seduced me, but Indiana? Not! My apologies to all Indianapolins out there LOL

Decided to wear one of the skirts I bought at the thrift store in florida to the concert on Sunday night. It doesn't really translate well, has pleats and is wrinkled and looks poofy in the pic but you get the general idea. This entire outfit was $8.00! Love the asymmetrical black t. Jack Nicholson seems to like it too!

Kat had to cancel she was sick (bad bout of IBS), she offered the tickets to me at 6pm, but the time I drove out to the county and came back I would have been running late. Was feeling kind of weak anyway (maybe losing iron from the long TOM?) and decided to be a couch potato instead.

TOM finally stopped today! 8 more days on the progesterone til the procedure. Pulled myself up by the bootstraps and went to Club Fitness to do the weight machines. Had to force myself. Ignored the committee telling me my neck was too sore to work out. Started wellbutrin today to stop smoking. Can already feel it. Woke at 4.30 after 4 hours of sleep and I've got energy, plus the compulsion to smoke is decreasing. Gotta do it for good this time round....**fingers and toes crossed**

Thanks Monica!! I've made it 6 days of not smoking and strict low carb. Only down to 150.6 which is a bit disappointing. Some is fat but I bet some is water from the progesterone also. My bra size has gone up a half size (nice)!
Had the uterine biopsy on Wednesday. It hurt like bloody hxll!!! I'll find out the results in two more weeks. She didn't think it looked bad which is good. Shes talking uterine ablation or putting in a progesterone copper IUD. I'm going to stay on the Wellbutrin I've been taking to quit smoking. My depression has been lifted, I'm motivated again! Went the to career center after my last letter came from unemployment about training. Last week was my last unemployment check. Looks like I qualify for 5000.00 of training, but it will take 6 weeks to process so I'll miss this semester. And you can only work 25 hours a week I think. Going to all the workshops to qualify. Next week I go to a week long workshop on how to start your own business. the center pays for the $300.00 book. I just want to keep busy. sitting on the couch isolating the previous two weeks were depressing as hell food wise and emotionally. Had a blind date at Hardees for lunch today (low carb burger) he has worked at St. Louis University for 30 years. He fishes with the president and thinks he can help me get in. I have to apply online first. I tried for 2 hours today, but kept having computer glitches. Will try again this weekend. met a woman at Club Fitness today and talked about finding work. Shes going to forward my resume to someone that works at a place I should qualify for. For the first time in years I have faith that something good is going to be coming my way. Tomorrow I have a motorcycle/movie date with a nice fella named Mick. He just moved here 4 months ago and doesn't quit know his way around yet. The weather has been much cooler today. What a blessing after this heatwave that makes everyone a crab apple... p.s. Stopped dreaming about and romanticizing my ex. Free at last! Last edited by Izzysdream; 08-10-2012 at 09:41 PM.. |

Just when I thought it was safe in the water...I dream about my ex's 11 y/o daughter whom I dearly miss, then my ex 2 nights ago. But I was calling him on his stuff, which is good I guess.
Had a wonderful time with Mick on Saturday, we left on the bike about 1.30, didn't get back home til 9.30. Drove up the river road in Illinois, stopped at Fast Eddy's at Bonair, had a couple glasses of wine (me) got acquainted with another couple at our table, listened to a great band! We then drove down to horseshoe lake, threw a blanket under a tree then enjoyed the sun setting. Took the long way back to St. Louis and at 8.30 stopped at Tuckers to eat. Mick got the steak (delicious) I got the fantail shrimp, huge salad, and delicious grilled veggies. I passed on the potato and their delicious hot rolls. LOL I woke up the next day to 154.4. Knocked out of ketosis (which I don't want to be in). I was shocked. Back down to 150.6 this morn. Mick lives in florida and is just up here for a job, maybe 3 more months....too bad so sad. Only slept 3 - 4 hours the past 3 nights. Don't know if it is the wellbutrin, or nicotine withdrawal. Mood has dipped. Not doing the workshop this week, have two appointments. Need to do some online studying, taking assessment tests for math, english science etc. on Wednesday for 4 hours. This is to qualify for the school grant. Sold my black kitchen table and chairs a couple of days ago. It was gorgeous but too large for my small apartment. Bought a 25 y/o bike on Craigslist yesterday, that was refurbished. It's not like my comfort bike, but it is light enough to pull up out of the basement, it's got 21 speeds, just need to put on a comfy gel cover on the seat. The seat post and wheels have a quick release, so if I have to lock it outside temporarily, it will make it hard for someone who may want to steal it to ride away on it. ![]() Night time temps are reminding me of fall. It's been a relief to have cooler temps (good riding weather), it will be warmer today and tomorrow, but will be in the 70's this weekend. Woohoo! Smells good here, threw some chicken thighs, diced tomatoes, chili seasoning in the crock at 6 this morn. It's going to be a yummy dinner. Only been doing weight machines about once a week. Going to force myself to go to club fitness and do them today, need to take some action! ![]() 11 days of not smoking and really had the urge last night! WooHoo Eleven! Your day out with Mick sounds awesome!
I had uterine ablation done back in December. I had it done for extremely heavy periods that would force me to stay home for 2 days out of each month. It was the best thing I ever did. I spotted in January and February and have not had a period since. I LOVE it, my hubby loves it, it is just wonderful! |

Did my callenetics dvd today, kicked my arse! Can't really modify the hip/thigh exercises on the floor without killing my knees. Went to club fitness afterward and got a really good weight workout. I modified what I already modified on the leg machines and added pulsing for and inch. The inner/outer thigh machine I did my regular rep then added 20 pulsing one inch moves til I did 100 of each inner and outer thigh. It was killer. I pushed the upper body weights also. Busted some stress! On Thursday Ill do the weight machines first then the callenetics to get the stretches in the end.
Stopped by the clinic to see if my biopsy report was in. It was negative! My appointment isn't til next Wednesday but I had the nurse ask my doctor if she made my ablation appointment (takes 6 weeks to get in and I can't be working or I'll be charged thousands - it's sliding scale for people without insurance. I also need a cataract removed from my left eye. I'm still paying for retinal surgery I had 3? years ago. My appt at the eye clinic isn't til Sept. 6th but I'm going to try to go to see if anyone can see me after the assessment tests for the career center tomorrow... Felt good getting off my arse today. ![]() |

Took out the 25 y.o bike I got off craigsist today. Left gear shifter isn't working, chain slips a couple of knotches and makes a grinding noise. Got 20 minutes in though. The weather is going to be great for biking this weekend. Take it back to the seller tomorrow and hopefully he will fix it right away.
Tomorrow I'm committed to doing dreaded callenetics and my weight machines. Yaydoggie |
