Hi ladies, turned out fine with dad, no surgery thank god. It's been crazy here, things are starting to "settle" again. Haven't been to therapy in two weeks, looking forward to getting back to my "work" (on myself) on Thursday when I see her.
My old job didn't get the contract that they had me on. So I need to seriously start looking for work again. Unemployment runs out for good the first week in August.
Will be back soon! Love ya's.

151.6 this morn. Not as bad as I thought! Did meat (and cheese) yesterday, aiming for the same today. Went to club fitness, did the weight machines. Had to force myself though...glad I went. Pms has hit plus anxiety about going to court next Tuesday....so I'm allowing myself to eat a bit more low carb fare. Better than the alternative.

Ug - going to court sounds super stressful, but at least it will be over right? Go you working out and eating LC despite all the other 'stuff' going on.

Finally got an order of protection against my ex bf on Friday. I found out he was served on Monday night. We have to meet in court on Tuesday at 2pm! Say prayers the judge will extend it longer than two weeks! It's not for anything physical, emotional harassment etc. I'm allowing myself to do some stress (fear) eating (peak pms right now also) but mostly containing it to low carb just to get through to next week.
Met with therapist this afternoon caught her up with all the chaos of the last two weeks. Back to doing my meditation, afformations and she gave me this booklet to read on Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Worked out Monday with weight machines
Tuesday night rode my bike
Worked out yesterday with weight machines
Supposed to ride with Cynthia tonight.
Also tried a bit of Windsor pilates dvd. My joints were hurting, but I'm inelastic so hopefully that will get better the more flexible I get...
Tomorrow I plan to work out again.
My old job called me back yesterday to do survey work, looks like it may last til next week. They also have me on another contract bid for the end of July so I'm hopeful again!
A friend of mine that lives in Nashville is driving down to her condo in Hollywood Beach Florida. She invited me to go down on July 6th. I'll be gone for about a week. Haven't seen the ocean in years, soooo need a vacation! I'm soooo excited!

Ex didn't show up at court today. Got the restraining order extended for a year! thank God, can move on now. Celebrated with cousin, drinks, vietnamese and a banana split. Back on track tomorrow also on my last pack of cigs. Feel like everything can be new from this moment out...

It's been one long party this week, (went gambling for the third time in my life thursday night, met a blind date, lost 20 bucks but had a blast. Went to the river after work yesterday and floated with my cousin. Imbibing waaaaay too much, up 5 pounds. Finally made my way back to low carb today. Had to isolate to do it though! Nasty bugger carb withdrawals.
Feeling that loneliness today, trying to go with it and not "fill" it with anything negative or numbing.
Went back to work 2 days last week and again this week. Go back again next week, then to Florida the first week in July. I'm hoping by the time I get back I'll have worked through the feelings (I'm not wanting to feel at the moment). My relationship with the ex was a lot of drama that consumed the past almost 3 years of my life. A large part was an overwhelming passion I'm afraid I'll never feel again. Feeling sad for the good that is gone, but good for the bad that is finally finally gone...
Anyway, there is a big, empty space left now where that relationship once lived.. A space I need to learn to fill the good and healthy....kick that need for chaos to the grave....

Izzy- wow you have a lot going on, you will feel that passion again with the right person give it time, and dont try to force it, it will come, there is too much drama with this guy so even though there is passion it is not worth it!

It sounds like you are ready for several fresh starts, I know you can do it!

Oh izzy I totally get where you are coming from darling and its not easy. Scary, despite knowing logically all is fine and for the best. As you said to me, you've made room for amazing things to come into your life now. You will find that passion again, perhaps not as burning hot as that last one, but that one burnt bad. The right balance will come. Great new people, new activities, and a focus on you!

Had another good low carb day yay!

Exercise: kayaking at my brothers

Put my afformations to good use today. Did them in the car on the way to my brothers and all the way back.
One example was: Why have I so so easily let "B" (my ex) go with utter joy?

I actually couldn't help the smile this statement/question put on my face. I actually felt happy inside.

It's true that what we tell ourselves dictates how we feel. When we say affirmations in question form, they somehow penetrate our subconscious easier. I'm going to keep this up, spend a lot of time in my car, might as well put the time to positive use.

I borrowed my brothers keys to get into my dads house when he was away this afternoon. Forgot to give them back, had forgotten my cell phone and didn't get my brothers message til I just got home. Now I have to turn around and drive back to Illinois to return them and head on back.
Sigh, more opportunity for more afformations.

Made it back. Stopped by Horseshoe Lake on the way back (1000 acre lake near my brothers) Watched the sun set on the lake. It was gorgeous tonight, the sky cleared, lil sliver of moon, fire red sun setting into the horizon. I also had the treat of watching a water snake swim on by.....wished for my camera...

Thanks for sharing that link izzy. Interesting spin on it. My mind tends to immediately respond to those questions (talking back at me haha) since I am miss problem solver though.. hmmm Will give it a crack - with better questions.

I totally agree about what we tell ourselves influences our current reality. Crappy you forgot your keys, but how lovely that you got such a beautiful moment with the sunset (and snake eeek!!)

Had a helleva time with sleep on Monday night. A noise startled me after a couple hours of sleep at 2.30 and I didn't fall back asleep til 5. Was an hour late to work. This work is grating on us all. My boss says she not going to take a survey contract again. Calling companies all day long to meet a quota in the database. Everyone was grouchy yesterday, I left work with a strong urge for egg foo young from my fav chinese place Fu Lee. Really strong, but resisted.
Did the weight machines at at Club fitness after work, then came home and dealt with some apartment manager issues, faced some huge emptiness in the evening so I packed a blanket on my bike and headed to the park. Brought my camera, but by the time I took pictures the best light had retired for the day.

this guy was fascinating to watch, he crouched like that taking pictures for 45 minutes. I kept wishing my joints would allow that position for 5 seconds! lol

Woke up an 1.5 hours before my alarm today, so tired, will be dragging at work. We start another survey today and the deadline is Friday. It's the most difficult one, we did one last year like it. We have to call subcontractors that worked for generals that had contracts with the state (years and years ago) We have to fax a form to them and have them verify what money they were paid. We only have 3 phone lines and one is a fax line and we will have 4 people calling, I usually resort to using my personal cell phone. Last year we had to call 1500 people and we had 3 weeks or a month to conclude the study. This week we have to call 300 and we only have 3 days. Hope they don't extend it to next week. I need a couple of days off before I go to florida to get apartment business done and doctor appointments. Plus I just want to get some rest before my trip. lol
Need to get ready for work....
Oh yea, Monday night a met a new girlfriend,Kat, we ate at Buffalo wild wings and I had dry red wine instead of beer, not the same as a tall glass of cold Stella Artois and garlic parm wings! LOL It was my carb up day. Also indulged in some cherries, been wanting to try them for a month!
Trying to do 2 really low carb days and one uppish day.
