This Time = Last Time

Getting ready for the "last time" to start....1-2-12! I have this same 12 pounds to lose to be back down to my losest weight toward my final goal. I've lost this 3 times already. Could have been at my goal weight already but I'm not! Getting my family back on the program too! We've all been out of control this past couple of months!

I'm going to post my thoughts here and see if it helps keep me on track. I've read several threads that say it does and I could use all of the help I can get!!

Having my "last supper" in a little while. Black eyed peas, collards, corn bread, potato casserole, fried pork chops and sweet tea. but . It's just such a southern tradition and my biggest problem is keeping my food out of my social! I'm going to work on that this year and find other ways to celebrate occasions.

I could not believe how badly I felt last night! I guess I was having "crap-withdrawls"! I slept better than in awhile and I was down 3 pounds this morning like I was pretty sure I would be, thank God! Fluid and bloat!! My fingers were even feeling tight! I enjoyed my holidays so much but I am paying the price now to get back to where I was....but I knew it was going to be like this so I'm just moving forward everyday!

I didn't have too many carbs today but I'm so sure I had way too many calories! As soon as I get into ketosis and quit feeling bad from my junk withdrawals I will start cutting calories and fat some! I just have to make it through these first few days back on low carb!

Sounds like you are doing great!

I'd have such a hard time if I lived in the south where sweet tea was always around. It is a weakness for me...up here more places have it now, but it is not the same as it is in the south. I think they make it too sweet up here - which is probably good for me!

I walked a mile and ate less calories today! I think I'm feeling better from this cold too maybe. 22 this morning and 70 by tomorrow....no wonder we all stay sick this time of the year here!

Thanks psmileyf!! I love sweet tea too....but not too sweet! Lately I've learned to love iced unsweetened green tea! Well, really it taste just like water!

After 4 days back on low carb I don't really feel like I'm getting in to ketosis or getting my "low carb buzz" of energy like I used to. I also haven't lost hardly a pound and I was looking forward to a big, fast drop. Kind of disappointing but I'm not giving up! It will happen!

Hang in there Leisha! I noticed that the more restarts I have the longer it takes me to get into ketosis. Just when I am about to assume l/c is not working things will pick up. Are you measuring too?

Good day food wise today! My appetite has been surpressed finally!

I ate 2 sausage patties with cheese at McDonalds this morning, a few almonds this afternoon and some pork roast with cheese and salsa tonight! I did find some lite and fit low carb yogurt at Walmart tonight so I think I'm going to have one for dessert!

Just had a small grilled ribeye, some sliced cheddar cheese and baby spinach with gouda and ranch. It was so good! This while my family had chips and dip and made sandwiches with their steaks! I need to go walk but I just woke up from my Sunday afternoon nap, that I finally got to enjoy this afternoon and I just don't feel like it yet! Maybe I'll get it in before the new Bible study starts tonight!

Me too....I get so mad at myself for having to lose these same pounds over and over again! I let myself get "out of control" at the end of every year just to have to go through losing again and then I get hung at 172 but I mean I'm going on down somehow this time and I'm staying there!

I just can't seem to get any energy to start exercising! I know what they say about making yourself do it for the first few times and then it gets easier and you want to do it....I just haven't MADE myself yet I guess! The weather has been so cold and rainy here but I guess it is everywhere, huh?

Yes, its rough having to lose the same weight over and over again. I promise this is my last time. I never want to deal with this again. I use to be a gym rat, but lately I havent had the energy to go. It does get easier once you start, but "starting" has been a huge issue. We'll get it together girl .

Thank you so much. Nope, I haven't been to the pool in about 3 years. But... I have to take 2 PE courses this summer and I've chosen SWIMMING .

Back on plan only just since Jan 2nd! I have managed to lose 6 pounds since then but I figured it was going to be like that with all of the fluid weight I knew I was carrying! Now's when it gets hard for me when it slow down to 1 or 2 pounds a week! I don't know why I get discouraged though. I don't know if you do "Pinterest" or not but there's always that picture of the 1 pound of fat and I look at it and say "wow, that is a lot"! I'll have to post it here for motivation for us!

....I am scared of water! I can float for miles and I swim only as an emergency backup plan! I envy great swimmers. It looks like so much fun. Just like horse back riding but I'm scared to death of them too!

Leisha, you're doing GREAT! 6 pounds is excellent! The experts say 1-2 pounds is losing at a healthy rate, right? I'm trying to be modest and more realistic this time around. My goal is to lose 5 pounds per month. Of course, I would love to lose more, but... . Please post that pic when you can. I need all the motivation I can get, lol.

Don't be afraid of water... it's your best friend! I taught myself how to swim by watching a swim team practice at my local pool. I would sit there and watch them for hours. And, when they left, I'd jump in the water and mimic what I saw. I also watched lost of vids on YT. Now, swimming in the middle of the ocean is a different story. I'd probably freak out and drown. Isn't that crazy???!!
