Got my food all ready for tomorrow! Here I go again! I was doing really well until Daddy got hospitalized again. That changes everything! Thankfully, he is home now so I'm going to get started eating the right way again! Plus I have 2 friends at work who have never tried low carb starting tomorrow. I'm excited to see how much weight they can lose on their first try. It doesn't work like magic for me now like it used to do! Oh well, as long as I feel better!

I don't know what I'm going to do! Can't seem to find a WOE that fits (or works) anymore. I'm at that age where I always heard that it was almost impossible for a woman to lose weight. I never really believed that before but now I'm starting to wonder. I know it's not "impossible" but it sure isn't easy! I used to just cut my carbs and start walking and drop what weight I needed to drop..... not anymore!

Well, I'll never give up. I have blood work for my doctor's visit Thursday. Can't believe that I'm going to go weigh in at 200 pounds! I've got to get my blood pressure medicine renewed.... I don't even need it when I'm a resonable weight but this is not that weight! Also have a life insurance physical tomorrow. That's not going to be pretty either.

I just sat here and reread my whole journal! What a weakling I am. I can't believe how many times I publicly said that I'm starting again today or I'm out of control again! How embarrassing. I know more about health, food and nutrition than anybody I know. It's my favorite subject to read about, yet I can't commit to eating less and moving more. I read everybody who is successful's stories looking for that one thing that got them on board for good hoping I'll find the magic key. I'll just keep looking, i guess.

Doctor's appointment in the morning at 8:30 for a check up. Boy do I dread stepping on those scales at 200 pounds. It is going to be so embarrassing! I had to do a life insurance application last night and that height and weight question was a hard one to answer.

Maybe something will strike a chord with me this week about what damage I'm doing to my body and life with my food choices.

201.4 on the scales at the doctor's office. Glucose level was 106. My cholesterol was 150 strangely enough. Heard the word pre-diabetic and disease prevention and control..... I knew it was going to be like that though. She recommended Medifast....I don't think I want to eat pancakes and pudding and mac and cheese from a month old stash of prepackaged food...not to mention 339.00 for a month! I think I can do my own low calorie, low carb and exercise program. I just needed to get serious. Maybe this will make me. I have a check up on Oct. 11th to see how I'm doing.... that will be a motivator!

Going to start again tomorrow! Seriously, weight watchers. Ole tried and true! I have a wonderful app downloaded and have made my food choices already. I still need to go shopping but I can manage on what I have here. Going to the real meetings, not online! As much as I love LCF I now know that online accountability is not effective for me.

I got up early and walked and picked up some trash by the road this morning before I came to work!!! I've only ever done that once and it wasn't on a work day. Feeling pretty good about things so far .... 4 hours into the first day of the rest of my life!!

Another day down! I didn't get up early but I did walk when I got home from work and visiting Daddy! I also had a sirloin patty and brussel sprouts for dinner with unsweetened tea. I still have 1 point left!

Down 2.6 pounds tonight at my Weight Watchers meeting. Doesn't sound like a lot but she had a 3/4 pound fat blob replica and it made it look like a lot. No wonder my pants fit better already!

I have my salads in a jar all ready to go for next week and I have my oranges sliced and packed! I have a pork tenderloin cooking in the crock pot now too! I am ready for week #3 of weight watchers!

This should make everything much easier!

Thanks Jeanie!! I just made some vegetable soup. It was really satisfying, thank goodness. I started my day with a McMuffin and I think I should have made a better choice! I've been feeling munchy all day. It has been a beautiful day here today. We had the false alarm with Tropical Storm Karen. We could sure use the rain though.

Tomorrow night is my weigh in night. I haven't cheated or gone over my points. I've walked and worked in the yard a time or two. I'm afraid that I'm not going to have a loss though. The other time I did weight watchers, years after I became a life time member, I weighed in the first week, had a pretty good loss the seconds week, an okay loss the third and then I gained a little, and then I got discouraged and quit......... I cannot let that happen to me this time, even if I don't lose.

Finally got to weigh in last night after missing two weeks with my sweet and very sick Daddy. I was down 1 more pound! I will surely take that after all of the fast food and lack of regular routine planning that has gone on these past two weeks of chaos. I'm not going to use this trial as a reason not to stay on my plan. He is proud I'm losing the weight for my health. I certainly don't want to disappoint him now!

My Daddy is still in very bad health, but better than he's been. I've only gained a pound back of what I lost and I am going to seriously get back on my WW points plus tomorrow. It's dark before 5 now so walking is out of the routine. I bought an exercise bike for $35 at the flea market. That's not too much of an investment if I can't ever get around to using it, but I sure hope to try!!

I didn't check to see how many thousands of people are on LCF's tonight but I'll bet it is a bunch. I have one more holiday event.... our Auburn Tigers are playing in the BCS championship game on the 6th! I really haven't gained much and it wasn't from holiday eating. It is from an absolute lack of routine. My Daddy is still sick and that dominates everything and it's hard to plan to eat right and exercise. I'm going to try harder because I believe this is going to be a part of my routine for awhile. At least I hope seeing him everyday is...

Thanks Susan for your encouraging words. I have one sister 2 hrs away and my twin sister is 2000 miles away! I go every day straight there from work and stay with them a couple of hours to visit him, help anyway I can and give his wife a much needed break. I tell my sisters that I'm the lucky one because I can actually go see about him and all they can do is worry. My sister who is 2 hrs away gets to come about once a week. She used to be a nurse so a lot of things get ran by her and she deals with the hospice folks and insurance. My sister in CA thankfully has plentiful funds to get the extra things he needs right now and it is a way that she can help. She has been home for 2 or 3 weeks at a time in the last few months. I know people go through this every day. I just didn't realize what a toll it really takes on you physically and mentally. I will be more compassionate of others in this situation from now on, that's for sure!

Daddy passed away on the 19th. After the funeral, a week of company and food, a mountain of thank you cards and getting semi-caught up at my job I am finally ready to start thinking about eating right and exercising again....I think. One of the last things that all three of us sisters promised him was that we were going to lose weight and get healthy. That gives a different kind of motivation, for sure!

I need to sit down and plan my week and go shopping, just not tonight!
