192.6 this morning. Still going down! Not as fast as using hcg or anything but I am eating the things I really want, just not much of it for a change. I'm also adding berries and fruit this time....something I never do.
Still having a "fast food" problem, even though I'm keeping that way down too. It's just so loaded with salt! I guess that's why it's so good!

Thank you!! Actually, what I'm really doing is First Place for Health. It's a "church" thing.....giving God the first place in your life and everything else falls in place.....and it's true too! The eating plan is a healthy balanced one, then there is a Bible study, exercise and support. I don't have a local group so I'm doing it online with Outlook Ministry. I did it years ago. I know it works for me so I'm back!

Well, I've got my Daddy's surgery behind me and he is recovering nicely and I have my birthday behind me now so maybe I can get back on track this week. I do have to say that I went a little over last week it was nothing like what it would have been if I had not been tracking my calories and focused on what I was doing. I didn't do nearly as much damage as I usually do!

Down to 192.0....only a .6 lost but it's still going down, after a slight valentine and 25th anniversary celebration on the 14th......food, food and more good food as usual! But.....we had a great time and now I'm back on track and ready to move on down some more!

Not making much progress down, but I'm not going up, up, up either so I guess that's something. I actually walked my mile today and picked up the trash by the road. I think I'm going to try to learn a Denise Austin exercise dance that I downloaded from youtube! I am not a dancer! I'm hoping that I will find it is the exercise I love! I'm not holding my breath though.

It's been over a month since I've been here or thought about my "diet" and exercise. I haven't gained though. Daddy's been really sick and I was so busy seeing about him I didn't think too much about anything else. Thank God, he is so much better and on the mend again! Now, maybe since the weather is pretty finally I can get outside and do something physical. Got to start back watching my portions again too! Other than that, I'm not really too far off track!

I just read this and I needed it. I was doing so good but I'm starting to stray off of my newly developed good habits. This is the first time I've been to LCF in ages. I have got to get serious about getting this weight off and I just can't somehow. I just ate peas and rice and a hamburger steak. Don't know what I was thinking!

That is all I have to say about this subject. I am so very disappointed and disgusted with Leisha today. I am going in to change my signature ticker back to 199! Lord help me.

I've been there soooo many times I can't even count anymore. You can do this! Are you avoiding sugar on your plan? If not, maybe try cutting all sugar products and "diet" foods, even low carb ones if you're doing LC will help. Maybe go through your pantry and fridge and get rid of everything you shouldn't eat and go the store and restock with all healthy foods. Sometimes cleaning my fridge and pantry and having all the beautiful veggies in there is enough to make me feel more positive about situations like that. I see you have teenage looking boys in your pic. If they have junk food that they "need" to have, make them move it somewhere where you won't see it and be tempted by it. Bottom line, you have to stop yourself right now! Do a search for before and after pictures on here and know that if these people can do it, so can you! There are some amazing people on this board and I know that you and I have it within ourselves to be just as amazing! We can do this!

Thank you for your encouraging words Hooligan! I haven't been avoiding anything lately. I am getting ready to start seriously. I have to make it though one more stressful week of events surrounding my youngest son's graduation from high school and at the same time the very stressful time at my job should be ending. I am looking forward to some normal time, healthy eating and exercise. I'm tired of being tired and stressed out all of the time!

ok....I'm here and I'm back on track. Everything is behind me now, thank the Lord! It was the whirlwind that I knew it would be but it is all over! Memorial day cook out, two of them today actually, was the last "event" I had to get through and they're done.

I just raked and cut grass with my new reel mower until my heart was pounding and my face was red! I think I've finally found me an exercise with a cause! I actually enjoyed it.

I'm going to bed early tonight too.....if it kills me! I've been staying up until 11 or 12 even most nights and that has to end!

Blueberries, strawberries, walnuts, greek yogurt, baby spinach.....all of the good stuff in the refrigerator and waiting for me! Whew! I know I will feel better!

Got my "scare" today that I'm hoping will keep me on track to lose this weight. My ankles are swollen and my blood pressure was 165/77 after taking 1 and another half of my bp pills! I don't have a choice now. I've got to get this under control now! Please Lord, help me!!

Day 1 down....again! I feel determined this time. I've hardly had any carbs today and finished my food diary under calorie goal for the first time in a long, long time!

day 2 is about to begin! I've got my breakfast eaten and my lunch and snacks packed for work! Down 2 pounds this morning....totally fluid but that's what was bothering me the most....puffy face, puffy feet, puffy hands....maybe some more will leave today. I cut my salt way back.

Day 2 done! I made it just fine! Walked around walmart for 30 minutes....getting stocked back up on good food! Counted it as exercise because I was moving pretty good!

Just had a pork chop and a ton of steamed cabbage. I'm not losing much weight but I sure do feel better! Maybe it will happen eventually. At my age now I'm starting to wonder!

Just walked! First time in a long time. Only about 1/2 mile but really fast for me at least! I planted two big flowers in the flower bed too. I've cut the carbs and I can't believe how much better I feel! Well, yes I can. I know this....I don't know why I don't do it all of the time. I know I'm not the only one though!

Went for my mammogram and checkup today....weighed in at 201.

Thank God all was normal. I have to make an appointment now for my blood work for cholesterol and thyroid function.....not looking forward to those results.

Feeling discouraged and hopeless tonight. . . . .

Just went walking and today is the hottest day we've had all summer. I think our monsoon rain is gone now. At least it kept everything way cooler than a usual summer in July in Alabama.....but not anymore! Whew!

3 whole days of very low carb behind me!!! It's the first time I've been able to start and stick to it in such a long time!!
I went walking again this afternoon too! We've been rained out this whole summer but it's kept it cool so I will take it any day. Besides that...I love the rain!!!

Quick Ham salad
This is so easy and yummy
ham
mayo
SF sweet relish
I just cut up a few pieces of cooked ham(approx. 1/2 cup?), put them in my bullet until small pieces, then add about a Tbs mayo and Tbs SF sweet relish and blend again for a few seconds. I'm sure this would work using another appliance if you don't have a bullet.So delish!

Ham Salad
Ham (you can use the bone in kind that you have to cook, or get the stuff in the chub)
Cream Cheese
Sour Cream
Seasonings to taste
I don't have exact measurements for this one - I basically shred the ham in my little food processor (12 bucks at Wally World and it does just fine) until I get tired of shredding ham. Then I add at least two bricks of cream cheese (softened) and then add sour cream until I get a pleasant consistency. Sometimes, I don't add any seasoning, sometimes salt and pepper to taste, and occasionally old bay. This ham salad is always a hit at potlucks, and works great for sandwiches, wraps, or just on crackers.

I ended up making pimento cheese with diced ham and green onions and it was so good! Made a batch that lasted 2 days! Very satisfying!
