I made it through an entire day of eating clean! I was afraid I was going to mess up tonight because I was hungry and it was late and I still have things like corn flakes and milk and cheese and crackers and even some left over favorite pizza hut thin and crispy pizza!! But....I had a salad and a piece of fried spam, of all things. I also had as a new treat a cup of hot green tea and I was surprised how much I really did like it and how it warmed me like coffee only without the caffeine!

I am going to bed early, going to read my Bible and some good stuff about service and prayer then I hope to sleep really good!

....the first day of the rest of my life!

Happy For You! I know how hard it is to conquer the evening munchies and make yourself go to bed early !!! Your fried Spam made me think of my childhood - Fried Spam Sandwich w/Mayo !!!

Got a "little" derailed over the Thanksgiving holiday but I am back on track this morning. All I've had is a few almonds (sneaked those during church service because I was starving!) and just made me a big salad! I'm about to head out to the grocery store and get stocked back up for the week! I will weight next Wednesday....and hope it wasn't as bad as it seemed!

i feellike im losing the battle. lunch at work everyday is the hardest thing. i cant even think of something i want much lrss fix it. that is something low carb and healthy! posting from a kindle now and im not good with this keyboard. i cant sleep because of the terrible day ahead of me at work tomorrow......waaaaahhhhh...i think i need some cheese with my whine!

Hi Leisha, I'm pretty new to this board, but certainly not new to the low carb life, that is the restarting of it over and over. We must remember that verytime we start again we are getting stronger and re-inforcing the fact that we 100% want this .

This is also my 'last time'. It has to be, becasue the feeling of being heavier than I should be is just so depressing, I empathise with so much of what you are saying. It just isn't good for us right, but only we can change this!!

Thsi time round i have decided to do try a couple of things. Bare in mind that I am only on my 2nd week (Again) I have decided to do a really clean Atkins induction which I haven't tried before. I have decided that in order to achieve what i want I just have to cut out everything that I'm 'not allowed' Never mind 'i'll just have bit' THat never happend, If I cant control myself with a certain food then it has to go!

Also, I am taking my vitamins properly, I have tried l-cartinine this time and also l-glutamine amongst sooooo many others that I used to take randomly (when I remebered) and have noticed a huge difference in my evergy levels and cravings. Now whether it is these or just the fact i am maybe more determiend now im not sure, but whatever it is i am finding it easier this time.

Maybe hide the scales for a bit, I managed to do this for 6 days (im an addictive weigher) that really helped me to have a different focus. (what goes into my body, not the outcome)

I'll keep tuned in, but you know you can do this, you have the power to get the happy and healthy body you want,

Well, I just saw the first of the Weight Watcher's commercials on tv! It's that time to start thinking about the holiday being over and the New Year's resolutions! I actually like the fresh start feeling and am thinking about what I'm going to do. I am sure it's not going to be drastic changes, just a few good habits to start with that I can place in my life and my families' too.

Great attitude Leisha. I am buckling down now as well, just think how much progress we can make by the new year versus how much more damage we could cause waiting another week.

...But today after one good day behind me, back to 197.2 Too much
salt (among other things!) I really did make it through Thanksgiving and
Christmas with a 2 pound only gain and that is a miracle for me!

Well, this journal just had a birthday this week and I am at the same weight I was when I started it plus a little more.

I'm thinking about going back to weight watchers meetings for awhile and see if I can get motivated! I thought about the online version but the ladies on the board say the meetings are better. I don't think the online program would be anymore accountable than this journal is for me. I have a buddy who might do it with me. We could cheer each other on! Yeah, I'm probably going to do that.

I love to watch the number of viewers on this website grow on this day! It's more than doubled what was here last week! I'm glad I'm not the only one getting back on the program!

Did my southern tradition meal of black eyed peas, cabbage for my greens, rice, gravy, corn bread and biscuits.....not quite back on board yet! Tomorrow is the day!

So far today.....I am on the program with my eating and have been doing a lot of house work and some walking....I'm actually at home taking a vacation day.....been working hard but there was so much stuff on my do to list I'm just glad to get to stay home and work on it some!

I've been using an online calorie and exercise tracker that is working out great for me. I think the reason it's so motivating is that my doctor uses it too and she requested to be my friend and sees my stuff!! Now that is motivating!

Still on the program! I just can't seem to get started exercising again at all. I just don't have much energy and I'm afraid I'm getting a bug.

The best part of my new start is that I have eaten more spinach, nuts and sweet potatoes and good for you stuff these past few days! And drank more green tea. I just feel better knowing I'm not just eating fast food and junk carbs!

I just walked to the bottom of the big hill in the hay field behind the house and back up, really, really fast (for me) and it about killed me!! I guess I should really be proud of myself instead of ashamed!

Been under my calories for three days now but I don't feel like I'm losing. Maybe I'll have a big drop soon.

Ahhhhhhhhhh! "The big hill in the hay field behind the house" ...sounds like heaven on earth!!! Love farm land !!! Grew up close enough to granny's farm so we had the run of it as kids. Good for you - keep it up and you will feel so much better and the pounds will melt away!

Awww! Susan, it is heaven on earth here where we are blessed enough to live. I have never taken it for granted once in all of these wonderful years here. We have 84 acres and a 2 acre pond with woods and pasture and hay fields and it is such a beautiful place. My husband's father has another 1000 acres connected so we really do have paradise!

My friends always tell me I don't have an excuse not to walk or hike or anything because we are at the end of a dirt road and have no traffic or neighbors. Since the days are so short now it's dark when I get home and early morning is too full of activity around here trying to get the boys and me off to school and work. The days are getting longer now. I'm going to have to drag out that walking away the pounds dvd again!!

195.0 this morning.......I'm not sure if that's 3 or 4 pounds down from my 1-1-13 start but I am very happy with that. At least it's on its way down and not up!!!
