What a shock! I truly believe all things happen for a reason, and there are much better things waiting on the horizon. You've been blessed with time to recover (which you know you need), time to enjoy the summer with the kids & Tony, and the opportunity to start a new career doing something you're passionate about. Instead of condolances I wish you luck and success in the coming months. Now you're truly free to do anything you put your mind to!

Thank you all you girls, yes it was a total shock this morning, like I am so dumb I had no idea, he was being so nice to me and I was so happy that I was going back on the road, this is the 5th round of reduction in workforce we had in the last 5 years it was my turn. I am sure as always they went to the various VP's and said pick some people my job is not a sales job per say it is more marketing getting our name out getting accounts opened, filing the rebates, etc, much harder to measure, so I was an easy mark, he is a numbers guy. I got a severance package he was like oh everyone so enjoys you I will give you a good reference well yippy skippy, I am sure I will vacillate between being pissed still but honestly I want to do something different anyway so now this is the push I need. It will be the last summer the kids really need someone home so I plan to fully enjoy being with them, and doing some fun things, teaching Bobby to golf, and me again, LOL Going to the pool, little day trips to some historical places around here, stuff to show the kids that we always wish we had time for, so I am not going to be upset, I am going to get this stomach healed and work out like a freaking nut! Mom took me to lunch it involved vodka and french fries, and frankly now I am paying for it from the salt, LOL

Yes, this is meant to be...a kick in the arse to go somewhere else.....the right place will pop up. It will! Can you get training for another job with this? I know some that got funding to go to school. May be the time to think about what you really want to do when you "grow up" . your a smart cookie....uhhhh.....piece of bacon you have so many options. Take it easy and think it out.

Yes, rest and recover! Spend time with the kids. Bobby is getting to the point where he'll be on his own more and more soon. Enjoy this summer with him! That's priceless!

reduction for sure and not for time you took off.

Tony was like it will be OK, the big problem is the mortgage of course and maybe not getting that to get the house we want. No the leave for my surgery was through FMLA so there is no way they can fire me because of that, I guess I heard around 20 people got let go this is the 5th round since I was there, and hey if business is bad get rid of the one person who got new business, LOL It is a tough time with the economy, our business has been decreasing steadily. I made more compared to some others so its always easy to chuck the person with the bigger nut, my new boss brought over his peeps from the competitor so I am sure he saw me as a threat whatever the reason it doesnt matter, so move on! Today I go to the doctor I cancelled yesterday and I am going to pray he tells me I can go to the gym, that will make me a happy person! SO much to do, OMG all those days I thought if only I had time, I have no idea where to start! I was thinking when I feel good I can go to 9 am hot yoga everyday, that will be awesome

Nancy- OMG I know the smokes like I just wanted to go buy smokes and then I was like hello dumbass you are going to be even more broke and that is the last thing you need to do to punish yourself! ughghg, so getting ready for the doc praying that is good news. Working my new phone, Tony brought me home a razor or something, pretty fancy I like it now to know how to work it, anyone that I had your number I dont anymore, so PM me I will give you my new one and I need your numbers!
You know I signed up for that wildtree so maybe I will work on getting that going to now that I have time, and that is at least something I really believe in!

Some good news, I can go to the gym and do the elliptical or bike not too fast and not to much but a little, FREAKING FINALLY!!! I can do light arm weights and pretty much do as I feel, like swinging a golf club, not good, so I am eating some chicken salad and an orange and running not walking there!!! I am so excited I could bust, I hope I see someone I know and they better think I have less of a gut, LOL He drained a lot out of me messed up my new underwear again!!!!!!!! Geez, maybe since he got a lot of the fluid out it will stay down longer the last few times not much was coming out and it was still lumpy.

Years ago - a bunch of us found out we were getting cut while at a convention in New Orleans. We had us one big (expenses paid) party! That turned out to be a good cut for me; as the next job was even better. It will work out for the best Amber - you are one very talented lady!
