Yup I agree with what poot said! Smart poot!

Ok so some of your muscle is turning to flab, and some of your cardio endurance is gone but it will come back, and in probably less than a month. As long as you are eating enough protein its unlikely that you will lose a lot of muscle - part of the benefits of a LC diet.

Can you find something else to occupy your free time that would would have normally done exercise in so you don't feel aimless and constantly thinking about it?

And yup it sucks its another 2 weeks with no movement, its a heck of a lot better than the alternatives - either a horrible healing scar that you would be stuck with forever, or not doing the surgery and having that tummy back.

and hahaha @ I had my NFL Eagles underwear on last night and I said to Tony look you can see the eagle it is not buried under all that flubber

You're funny!

Yes I know it just sucks, at least like tonight I have Bobby's game, it has me sort of depressed but what is 2 more weeks, good grief!

I am on the road today and have this speed networking lunch, you meet with 40 people at the Chamber of Commerce and present your company, should be fun! THen a whole day of cold calls have not done that in some time!!!

Good Morning Amber.....I am so sorry about the two more week wait... but guess WHAT...I know exactly how you feel. I go for a follow up Thursday and hopefully have one pin removed, but I still will not be released to start back doing upper body, I'm sure!! I feel that like it will be starting all over for me... and at times I think, why??? But I then immediately think, I have got to get back to like I was doing with my exercising. NO EXCUSES!!!! Only a minor set back I suppose.....!!!

Good Luck at the Chamber Lunch, I have been to these in the past and they are usually pretty fun.

Hope you have a great day!! You look GREAT by the way....

So sorry you are having to wait, but listen to him. It is for he best. You'll get back to where you were with the exercise, and better, before you know it. Without the tummy in the way, you'll be doing better. 2 weeks will fly now that you're back to work. Enjoy onederland!

Yay Bobby!

Hugs Hun!

I think what Pooti said is a great way to look at it. I really do think if you didn't have something holding you back you would be out there injuring yourself. Be nice to yourself hon and let your body take it's time. Once you are back at your exercising you know it will bounce back in shape quickly.

Oh honey, you are far from a lump! Hey, if the doctor says you have to wait it out in order to heal then that's what you have to do. We all know how motivated you are, so as soon as he give you the green light you will be back in Wonder Woman mode working out and feeling good.

What was the tea you mentioned the other day? I bought some diet tea in the health food store a while back and it was terrible but I love tea and am always looking for a new one to try hot or cold.

I want to dedicate today to you Amber and the song you have placed in my head since last night when I read your "lump" post.

She's lump. She's lump. She's in my head...

Hope you have a blessed day missy full of hope and possibilities!

By the way...the lyrics do not apply to you. It was only the word "Lump" that got this song stuck in my head!!! Then I started remember how crazy we danced to this song. And well, that got Juan the Poolboy jumping around in his thong and that made Denny made and the sock monkey boys start jumping around and screeching...and it all went down hill from there.

I wound up in the easy chair falling asleep at 2am with the words, "She's lump. She's lump. She's lump. She's in my head..."

Pooti, that song is catchy-catchy. I'm going to hear "she's lump" the rest of the day.
It's energizing me out of my funk of the moment. I was going to obey my funk and be a lump on the couch today. Going to get dressed, sweep down my two apartment buildings (got paid 50 bucks on Saturday to do this). And I commit to work out this afternoon.
Hail to the Lump Song!

Amber, was reading some Jack Kruse writings, and thought you might find it interesting...discussing surgery and the use of cold thermogenesis to reduce pain. this is from the guy that writes about the Leptin Reset. (fell off that wagon with this bug....climbing back on though as soon as I fully trust my inerds!

Here's the link to where he talks about it and shows an interesting video. Read the comments for more from him on it. He has written plenty on it before this post.

Now wondering if I can post the link...ad in it...ok....google jack kruse and ct...Go to his blog on his site...it is the one listed as 10 that I was talking about. Message me on fb if you can't find it. I'll send the link there.

Oh Poot that song is one to stick in my head, so the lunch was fun it was like speed networking, and of course the pull 2 names I won, I got to speak in front of the whole group, the other guy got a $100 gift card, darn it! Not a lot of leads for me, but still good to be doing that. I was really beat though, I think all the in and out of the car then the baseball game it was cold I was done, with a capital D, maybe I am getting sick or just tired, but I was done and this morning I would do anything to be in bed!

Kristi- I was missing you!!!!! I know that darn finger is messing you up!!! We will get back at it!!!

Laura- hmm which tea, is it the Numi Chai tea? I drink diet iced tea?

Mornin Amber!!! I second the motion about going straight back to bed.... I am so tired!!! But I am already at work, so I guess I will just have to forget about the bed for now!!

I go tomorrow to possibly haver one of the pins removed, and maybe he will release me to do more exercise!! I am going to have to get you, Twyla, and Ileen to reintroduce me to the gym and how to strength train!!

Hope you have a great day!!!!

Hey Amber,

Just saw this and I thought of you!!! Good Morning America is looking for weightloss success stories and you would be so freakin' awesome to be on GMA with your story..

Do You Have an Incredible Weight-Loss Story? Tell 'GMA' and Star Trainer Chris Powell - ABC News

The next two weeks will go by fast enough so when you start back in, take it easy on yourself. Will your doc allow you to lift 1 or 2 lb dumbells from a sitting position or something? At any rate, you deserve to get yourself some nice new workout clothing to treat yourself. You'll bounce back beautifully! Yeah Baby!
