I weighed in at 159.2 this morning.
Yesterday I almost (kind of did) ate everything in sight! This was a direct result of stress...I felt some stress at work then when I got home my dh was in the WORST mood and I totally fell into his mood and ate when I was not hungry....It's awful! I should of went for a walk or did something else..ugh.
I think our family is still finding a rhythm being back at school with routines (homework, activities, dinner, baths, etc.) My husband is NOT a routine guy and can get reluctant ..it drives me nuts.

Trying to stay focused on my woe today and trying not to get over anxious.

I still feel overwhelmed with work and home BUT I am trying to stop sometimes when I feel anxious and just breathe....

This helped me yesterday and I hope it continues...

I have soo much to do. The nice thing is I have Monday and Tues. off of work.
That gives me some extra time to work on some stuff here. I want to go thru my fall clothes as well as my kids. I have a ton of clothes to get rid of which I LOVE but I know that means spending more money on replacing them. I also have to work on my thesis. Well I am off to be productive.

Thanks everyone for checking in. It means a lot....I think it's a big sign for me that I have not given up on myself. In the past, when "diets" would run their course, I would just give up and go back to realllly bad habits. Now, I kind of know, that even after a slip up, I have to go back because I really WANT to eat mainly LC. My body and brain feels much better eating this way. The support is also something I connect with and something I never had before. Hearing from people that are feeling such similar emotions and getting encouragement like this, is something I never had before and it keeps me accountable and gives me a place to vent as well as safe place to fall....

Today I weighed in at 160.6. Not sure why? Maybe the long walk with my daughter and not enough water? I have not exercised formally since before our last trip to the beach...I won't over analyze it-that would take up too much time and I want to be productive today on this day off. Dwelling in the past is NO good and something I fall victim to....Hoping for a good day today and hoping all my friends are well.

Not good-I know.
I am back on track today....I need to be back on track for a longer stretch.

Hoping for a better few days...

Back in the 150's-but I have to say I "forgot" to eat yesterday. I was so busy at work and home that I am sure my calories were very limited. I am wondering if I have to continue to restrict calories in order to lose weight? It sounds like a dumb question and an obvious revelation BUT it just seems like not enough food? I mean I was not starving yesterday but I wish I could of ate more?
Not sure if that makes sense-trying to figure this all out and how my body can find the balance it needs...

Today I weighed in at 160.
I also am in a bad mood-not sure why-I feel like I want to cry...
I guess I am feeling hormonal???
Glad it's Friday. I have a lot to tie up at work and then a fun weekend apple picking (and getting stuff done).

I want to have a garage sale soon. I am so done w. clutter in my attic.
It feels so good to be simple. I love simplicity.
I also want to keep the idea of planning a menu for the work week for the family and myself. It keeps me well behaved and tones down any anxiety about feeding the family.

Maybe I could even get some walking in? One thing I would love to incorporate again is exercising....I know I sound like a broken record, but mentally it is so good for me. I love being outside.

i stuck to plan yesterday which was good. I have been noticing that Fridays, after a work week, I get real anxious and comfortable to the point where I want to eat a lot and carby stuff. Fortunately, I stopped that last night, recognized that feeling and did NOT make any bad choices...

I went apple picking today and did really (no yummy looking apple cider donuts). However, I did have some kettle corn. I was weak. Hopefully, that wont set me back too badly....

Hi Luca!

Good for you for realizing a pattern in your eating around the end of the work week. That's an important thing to notice and I think it will help to keep you on track.

I hope you have a great rest of your weekend and a good start to the work week, friend.

Take care! Jenna

I think the kettle corn did me in!

Obviously, my body is not a friend of carbs or sweets...
I am trying to cook some stuff for the week today. I really, really want to lose some more weight. I enjoy this woe so much and want to make some good long lasting habits-like preparing ahead of time.
I can't food shop today...money is tight and I think I can make due with what I have here for most of the week. I will have to go food shopping on Wed, though because I plan on having a garage sale next weekend which will leave room for nothing else. I am not a frugal shopper and one thing I notice is LC eating is expensive. But I know it is the most important investment I can make right now.

Thanks for checking in Jenna-how are YOU?

Hope you got your cooking done. I see you're still in the 150's. Good job.

LC eating seems expensive to me too...it's unfortunate, but I bet if I learned to stick only to what I plan to eat instead of stocking up and cut out my kid's junk foods my grocery bills would look better.

You got this. Have a great night!

ughh..

Although it was great to cook-I hated being stuck in the kitchen all day...

In the mean time, I snacked all day-(some LC and some kettle corn again)

UGH...I know the scale will not be kind to me tomorrow....
why do I do this?

You are not alone, I ask myself that question every time I stray off plan because I ALWAYS regret it. One day at a time.

Cooking for the week can be a challenge because it tends to make you salivate over the food (well it does to me). At least you did it and now you can hopefully relax for the week.

Hope the scale is kind to you, you'll be back at it in no time.

Have a great day!

Hi Luca,

I'm doing well---up and down a few pounds, but fine otherwise. Thanks for asking about me!!

I asked myself the very same question (why do I do this???) yesterday after I had stuffed my face with cookies and pumpkin pie that my hubby so thoughtfully brought home with him...WHY? WHY? WHY?

Oh well, we just move on and tomorrow's a new day.

Hugs to you---Jenna

I feel great and enjoy wearing my newer clothes. I am still not sure how/when I am going to incorporate exercising....

I am off work tomorrow. Honestly, I would love to have 1 day off a week just to catch up on things for the home. So, I am look forward to having tomorrow to use.

I am noticing that my pattern is to do really well and then friday and saturday I tend to mess up...I have to take care of that.
I went food shopping this morning, straightened up a bit, started laundry and now I am going to get some school work and paper work done.
Whatever I can get done before my 4 yr olds come home will be a big deal!
I also want to make some jalepeno poppers today-I have bought more bacon than I realized!

Jenna- I agree. Working full time and being a mom would be so much easier if we had one day off a week! I like Wednesdays because it's right in the middle too! Hope you are doing well. I know too well the bouncing around those few pounds-that was me all summer. I think being aware is key-never letting it get too out of control.

Jalapeno Poppers are so yummy, nice to keep in stock for a quick eat.

You sound swamped with things to do, hope you find some time to relax for yourself this weekend.

Stay strong with the eating this weekend, you're doing great!

This morning I weighed in at 158.6.
It's Friday and I KNOW my pattern for the last couple of weeks has been to mess up by eating too many snacks and by picking on high carb stuff when the weekend hits.
I have to avoid that! I am NOT going to do my all day cooking on Sunday- I think I am going to try and spread it out a bit...I have no major plans this weekend but so much school work. Hopefully, I can stay focused and balance it all out.

Thanks for the support Karen-means more than you know.
