We have similar stats, you're 1 1/2" taller than me, but we are both having issues getting to goal it seems. Very frustrating sometimes, but you are a trooper.

Must have been sad saying goodbye to your school kids. I'm sorry you're going through a rough patch, I'm sure things will look up soon.

Setting goals can be great motivation, I had to readjust mine once I realized I wasn't losing the same as I used to, they can always be reevaluated later, but it's a great start and gives you something more definite to work towards.

Soooo today I am VERY upset and angry. The scale read 164.4!!!

I ate more yesterday and even late, I was hungry! BUT I ate only LC and didn;t eat the cotton candy and zeppoles at the carnival w. my kids like I wanted to....now I wish I did! If I was going to gain 2 pounds in one day, I feel like I should of indulged any way ! Ughh!!!!!!

I am soo disappointed. On top of that I feel like I have so much to do but we have another party to go to....

Not a good start this morning and I feel like the 150's are farrr and away.
I want to eat a belgian waffle this morning!

Weighed in at 164.4 today...I was very good at the bbq yesterday. I tried to drink lots of water too. So not sure whats goin on but I am going to "keep on keepin on"....hoping for a good day.

Hi Luca,

I totally feel you on the scale frustrations. My weight loss after the first 6 weeks has basically ground to a halt. I added in exercise and the scale keeps going up and up and up. I am trying so hard but like you, I have my days that I am very frustrated and angry.

Whenever you need to vent, just know that we are HERE FOR YOU!

Thanks Jenna.
I definitely need to vent...and it helps to share with people who understand.
I am 165 today. I was good all weekend until yesterday. I skipped all the desserts and high carbs at functions and I guess yesterday I was so angry I ended up eating a cinnamon bun that my kids and I made for my dh for breakfast.

So this is why I am 165 today. It was a bad day yesterday. I have a lot to to tie up this week. My last week of school and my kids last week of school, another party on Saturday. So, it's kind of been stressful. I think yesterday the fact that I was overwhelmed and frustrated with the scale, I decided to cave and have some things completely off plan. The sad part was I loved every bite! BUT I know that I cannot completely go off the wagon. I am back on today. I have come so far and I got rid of so many clothes and look and feel much better, so I will not let this slip up continue.

Hoping for a good day and a smooth week ahead...

Well I weighed in at 162 today.
I have this BBQ w. co-workers today that I must say I am not looking forward to. I just want to go home and eat some eggs and bacon and not worry about what others are saying or thinking.
I feel better mentally when I eat less and make the better choices.

Hope this all works out. My focus the next 2 days is get organized for the summer. I want to get a schedule ready for my kiddos and I. I am also hoping my hubby finds a job....

I hear you about DH needing a job. Mine has been out of work since February this year. It is tough to keep our spirits up sometimes. All he can do is keep applying and hoping more interviews (and ultimately an offer) are around the corner. Good luck!

Today I weighed in at 162.4.

Things are finally ending at work...tying up some loose ends. I have a surprise b-day party on Sunday. I am hoping to wear a dress. I want to try and get my house back in order. I really want to stay focused this summer on losing more weight. My friend just e-mailed me and is really into the idea of walking some mornings this summer. I am really excited to get back into that with her. Hopefully, I will keep busy enough (w.out losing it) w. the kids that I will stay on track.

Jenna-thanks. MY dh not working has been difficult. We are doing the best we can but it has been stressful and always on our minds. Hope things look up for you guys too.

Sounds like you have a good plan set in motion. It's always nicer to work out with a buddy, the time passes quick.

I weighed in at 164 today.
I know I ate more calories yesterday BUT they were all LC. This is how I know JUDD would never work for me. I have to pretty much eat very LC and low calories to notice any movement on the scale. It should not take me 6 months or so to lose 20 pounds! I am starting to get pretty annoyed bouncing around the same few pounds.... When I am hungry or hungrier I want to eat.

That sux Luca, you sound very frustrated...it's a pain to bounce.

You may be surprised with JUDDD, I thought I would shoot right up because I added more carbs, but for some reason the opposite happened. I've added the "good" carbs so maybe that's why.

I hope you find what works for you bc I know it can take a toll on your spirits and you have been eating OP so well, you deserve to see great results. Hang in there, it WILL happen for you!

I can understand your frustrations. I am currently bouncing up and down the same 5-6 pounds. I agree; if I am hungry, I want to eat. I HATE being hungry. It makes me crazy sometimes.

I have to believe that something will eventually work for us. Hang in there!

I am at 165.4 today....
I won't give up but I am definitely annoyed. I have a party today-so I am just going to try and not dwell on my weight. I know LC works and I have a feeling I just have to keep my calories low/er.

Thanks Jenna. It does stink. When I first started LC I ate pretty much the amount I wanted of LC stuff. Now, I guess because I have less to lose, I have to eat less. Most days this is ok-but there are days where I am ravenous-so I want to eat lots of lc stuff. To be honest this is why I was drawn to LC inthe first place. The food is savory and I thought at the time I could eat larger amounts of food. Later i realized, my body did not need these amounts and I was satisified w.less.....but I still have days where I am HUNGRY! So, I guess I have to keep pluggin' along. I thought today I would have dropped 2 pounds or something but unfortunately, I am up 1.

Anyhow, sorry to be so "blah"....I am hoping for some major changes too.

Made good choices at the party yesterday but some poor ones at the after party. Going to go for a walk today w. a friend. Hoping to recommit w. soe LC friends (Psmiley-you out there?)

Need to get back in the groove and lose some of those extra calories.

I also need to get back on plan at the end of this week. We are out of town for a few days right now, but I will be determined to get my act together very soon. I am still trying to figure out how many calories I can eat a day and lose without being ravenous all of the time. Ah, the eternal question!

Hi Jenna,
You know I never tracked calories and I don't ever want to. If I did that, I would feel like I am dieting and not incorporating a lifestyle change. This would ultimately make me crazy I think. But I do know when I eat less and when I eat more and how that makes me feel and what the scales reads afterwards. So,,,,that said, I am where you are at as well. I need to eat enough so I'm not ravenous (which consequently I don't always feel the same day-it catches up to me in a few days) but not too much where I am not losing.
So here is to hoping we both figure it out without getting derailed....I am hoping the nicer weather and exercising mixes things up for me too....
WE CAN DO IT!

Just wanted to check in with you and see how you are doing. I appreciate your last post! You are right---we CAN DO IT!

I know that my weight bounces all over the place when I do incorporate the exercise. But I also realize that with me, I would rather be more fit cardio wise than be able to maintain a lower weight. It's a tough realization, but I think the healthier path is preferable in my case. Just sharing my story!

163.8 today.
I am feeling quite sore today. The past 3 mornings my friend and I have been walking around a lake which is about 3 miles. It's great to have to pick her up because this morning I would have easily just slept in but I did not want to let her down..so I went and walked. It feels good to be more active. She will be away for a week so I hope I continue even w. out her.
Hi Paula. Things have been ok-I have not been "losing" yet, I am still bouncing between 3-4 pounds. I know I need less calories but the problem is I am hungrier at night again. The other problem is when I don't see weight loss it makes me have a dismissive attitude, like i might as well have a lick of that ice cream or a few of those chips, etc (not everyday but).. So, we will see.

I also think I need new LC foods-no crazy recipes-just new things...but I am still working on it. I know this works and I know I can do it.
How about you? What are you struggling with?

That's great that you're getting those walks in, especially with a buddy.

Linda Sue's site is perfect for the easy but fulfilling recipes. I use them a lot even to this day.

I struggle with the disappointment issue with the scale too, if it doesn't go my way I am more tempted to think about eating bad things.

What really gets me is that I can't just grab something as easily as the next person. Grocery shopping takes longer for me bc I read every single label, and then I am upset bc it has so much crap in it.

Hi Luca,

Walking with a buddy is a great way to enjoy exercise, isn't it? Good for you.

I know that I struggle with deciding what my goal weight should be. I go up, I go down, I am all over the place. My body seems to be just about stopped with the weight loss and I don't know if that means I am just in an extended stall, or if that's what my weight is meant to be. I go back and forth on the goal weight, and I change my stats very frequently. I guess I'll figure it out as I go along.

Weighed in at 161.6 today.
I am trying to do what one LCF member is doing..eating VLC in an 8 hr window.

It may be working but I am not sure for how long it will last...
My graduate course is starting up after 4th of July so I will have a new busy again. I sure like the summer break though,spending time with my kids and just being a stay at home mom for a while is so nice.
I am grateful i get to spend some time with them like this.
