I just came back from a trip to Florida where I completed my first Ironman distance Triathlon. I was excited to write about it in my blog which dates back to August 2008.

I began my journey to fitness with the Couch-to-5K program in January 2009 and have completed many races and milestones along the way. I wrote about them all in my blog. My triumphs, my challenges, how I overcame them, how I felt along the way.

I've finally completed my ultimate goal, Ironman Florida, which was a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run, all done back to back.

I came home to find that my journey to how I got to this point is gone. My blog has been discontinued.

I feel sick to my stomach and am in tears.

Not a good way to start Thanksgiving Day.

First of all, congratulations! That is simply amazing! My bff just did her first one this weekend too and I am so awed by the dedication. YOU ARE IRONMAN!

I am sorry to hear about your journal. I hope you can get it back!

From what I can tell, an announcement was made on November 12 that blogs would be discontinued on November 22.

I never saw the announcement (which was difficult to find) and certainly don't think that was enough time for people to save their life's history.

I sent an email in hopes that there is some sort of archive. To be sure, they didn't just delete everyone's blogs that quick.
