Just family and a few friends...although that is about 40-50 people! We will do chicken and pork in the smoker, all the sides, etc. birthday cupcakes. The kids can swim (hoping for nice weather! ). It will be nice. We got her a super cute garden play house. She will love it.

We had a lot of fun at her school picnic. I have a bunch of pictures on my phone...I need to figure out how I can post a few here! Then we had a decent weekend. Trying to get reDy for our big party on Saturday and house guests all next week...but I came down with a stomach bug and was down all day yesterday. I had planned to take today off to get some personal stuff done, but now I can't. Bummer. It will all work out, but it's hard to juggle everything sometimes. I can't believe my girl turns 1 tommorow!

Do you use photobucket? That is the best easiest way to post that I know of!

It is HARD to Juggle it all! Sickness happens. Nothing you can do about it. Sorry you have to work today. Do you have tomorrow off??? I am sure you have Friday off. Long weekend with a party ...BONUS! What's on the menu???

I'm not familiar with photobucket. I'll have to check it out.
I'm working tommorow, then off Friday and all next week. I work from home on Thursdays, so at least I can get a few things done around here during the day.
We will be doing pulled pork and smoked chicken in our smoker. Also Mac and cheese in the smoker. Salads (green plus the traditional potato, cole slaw, etc) baked beans. And of course birthday cake!

What a week! Finally we have the house to ourselves again! We had such fun, and it was wonderful having our family and close friends around. Jacqueline's party was great. She had a blast and we were so lucky the weather was perfect. We got her a little play garden house that she loves, and someone else got her a little car. So sweet, and she loves them. Playing outside is her favorite, and now she is toddling over to the door and knocking to go out. She is a smarty!
I'm back to work today. Ugh! I need a vacation from my vacation! I took yesterday off thank goodness, so I was able to get the house back together . Nothing worse than getting the week going behind on stuff!
I need to get back on track, I'm feeling ready...

Hey Monica,
I went to the dr Monday and turns out I have an ear and sinus infection, yuck. I started on antibiotics Monday evening, and I'm hoping I'll be on the mend soon. My head and face have been so painful.
Now that I have that figured out, I'm thinking about starting over with a totally new plan. I'm considering trying JUDDD...but last time I attempted it, I had a lot of trouble getting through my first few down days....I don't know...might go stalk the JUDDD board for more ideas, but you are doing so great it is inspiring.

OH girl, let me know if you have questions. I have been JUDDDing for a while now.

I think the key is when you first start out with DD's allowing yourself a little extra to get your body used to them. Then try to take it a little lower!

let me know girl!

That's a good idea. I was thinking of starting with like 1000 dd and working my way down. I have to go to the site, but I think my actual dd needs to be like 460 or something if I remember correctly. Yikes! But I like the idea of having some flexibility with food choices, etc. I'll let you know for sure!

I never eat at the extremely low levels I am supposed to. With my hypoglycemia, that isn't always something I can do without messing up my blood sugar numbers.

Let me know if you need help girl!

Ok. Yes. I am going to do a nice controlled up day tommorow, and then jump in to a dd for Monday. It's a busy day, so I'm hoping that works in my favor! I was reading the web site, and he suggests a 2 week induction with shakes and no more than 500 c for the first 2 weeks of DDs. I was thinking of trying to do a bunch of 100c mini meals to try and get through the days...it's going to be some experimenting for sure. My dd on the calculator is 372 (yikes!). But if I bump to the slowest weight loss, I get 672...1860 for up days. I used low/no activity...i need to get more active so I can bump up the DDs !

Wow. I've been reading the JUDDD board. What a creative group! I've got lots of ideas! Unfortunately, I was not able to get to the grocery store so I need to get a list and get myself some staples. I'm going to attempt a dd today using shakes ,string cheese and maybe a Greek nonfat yogurt if I need it. Add veggies too! I'm aiming for anything under 1000 and work my way down. I'm viewing this as a transitional week so I can ease into a true down day...I don't want to fail and quit the first week!

Ok. A few things...I posted yesterday, but it isn't here. . Hmmm. Wonder what thread I posted on by mistake!
So far, I'm not doing so well. I won't go I to details, except to say I still need to figure out how to get a down day in. I get too hungry and then....no good!
Today I am trying. This:
B. Nf Greek yogurt w/blueberries. 140
S. Wasa cracker with lc cheese wedge. 75
L. Progresso light soup. 80
S. More soup 80
D. I have a lean cuisine in my freezer that has 240 cal in it. I'll add more veggies.
So the total for the day is around 615. Not as low as I need to get, but lower than I've done so far....I really feel like if I can get one solid dd in, I will be ready to start rocking and rolling on this....
Keep trying!

I go for more volume on DD's. For protein my go to is Cottage cheese (80c for 1/2 cup) I eat that with strawberries and splenda (YUM) tomoatoes, you name it. Just a suggestion! I tend to have large salads with tons of veggies, some protein (either cottage cheese or deli ham) and then calorie free dressing (walden farm ranch).
