Hi Amber! It's so hard, isn't it? Ugh! But we just keep trying! It's better than doing nothing!

Indeed I have pretty much resigned that it will never be over! I have seen first hand how lack of attention to diet and no exercise affects me so I guess I will be one of those old ladies at the gym with my walker trying to move!

Haha! When we are that old we will all be retired to Florida doing pool aerobics!
Oh boy....Andrew called me last night and told me my SIL was rushed to the hospital having seizures. I told him I'd get a flight home first thing this morning, but he said no, he has no other info, and nothing we can do anyway, so I should stay and work and keep my mind off of it. Of course I am so worried. Ugh ugh! Not following my plan all that well here either. I had a big beer on Tuesday, and a few spoons of mashed potatoes at dinner last night. I have been walking a lot. 2 days of 10k steps in a row,and ilmm try to make it 3 in a row today.

I had to cut my trip short and scramble to get home. My sister in law is in the hospital, and has from hours to at most a few days left. The cancer has spread to her brain causing seizures. The seizures are under control, but she is not conscious, and unfortunately still seems to have pain.
Please pray for her peaceful passage. Pray for her children who are managing so well, but can't really fathom that Mom won't be coming home.

Hi everyone. SIL passed last Wednesday. The funeral was Monday. Trying to get back into our routine. I am way off track, and working to get my head back in the game. I feel crappy...mostly because of the crap I'm eating. I hate the vicious cycle. I'm plugging in my fit bit, and I'm going to try to detox off the sugar over the weekend. Ugh! I hate that I keep doing this to myself!

I was afraid she had passed. At least now she is where there is no pain and no CANCER! You can jump back on this. Think of how much better you feel when on plan? How much more energy you have! My prayers are out to your Entire family and HERS!

Sort of a mixed results weekend. I did great and got my 10,000 steps in on Saturday. On Sunday, it was kind of crappy out, and baby J was in a cranky mood, so I probably did half of my goal...and my eating was a bit loosey goosey...but better than it's been, so I'll talked it. Packing a lunch and getting ready to face Monday!

Good Morning! I am so dreading today. All day planning session today with my team. This means we are locked in a room all day with the boss and the vendor and can't leave until we come up with an executable 3 year plan...this is a team with a lot of strong personalities (myself included) and things always take forever! My boss is actually bringing in a facilitator to help. Should be interesting.

I know I'm being neglectful when my journal is buried on page 2! It's been a little crazy around here. Work is intense, J has been sick ( she was supposed to have her MRI yesterday to see what is up with her auditory nerve, but we had to postpone because she has a bad cough. Next available date? Mid September! Oy! Poor kid has had this cold/cough for a week now. I have to go to work today, as I have the second part of our planning meeting...another full day off site. I'm going to dose her with baby Tylenol and hope for the best. If I have to leave mid day, so be it... What else can I do? Bad mom!
Needless to say, I am not on plan...ugh. I feel cranky and bloated...I just need to get organized and hit it hard. Familiar song. But checking in here at least helps me focus on the desire to do better. That is something..

Meg, you are NOT a bad mom. It is the dilema of working Mom's everywhere! I can remember hearing a child cough at night and praying, please no sickness today, I have XXX that has to get done! I will tell you, the good thing about a child her age being in daycare is they build a great immune system. My children had a lot of sickness in daycare and now, both, they almost always have perfect attendance at school. They just don't get sick ! It's a give and take girl! You can only DO SO MUCH! Don't put more pressure on yourself than is needed. It is what it is! Please forgive yourself and move forward. It's a cold, kids get them all the time. I rememeber those days well....

We all have a cough that seems to be hanging on. Ugh! But I'm planning everything for Jacqueline's birthday. We are having a party for the big #1! Her birthday is the 3rd, so we will have her party on the 5th. Big celebration week for us here. Her birthday, our anniversary is the 4th, her "gotcha" day is the 6th. We will have lots of family's and friends here to help celebrate!

OH you got married on July 4th. That is awesome!

You got her when she was only 3 days old? That is so sweet!

You have to take a ton of pictures and post them. I want to see them ALL!

I will Monica ! Yes. We got her at the hospital. I was thinking that a year ago, we hadn't even received the call about her yet! It all happened so fast! We got the call the agency wanted to send our profile book on June 28. On July 1 we got the call the we were matched with a birth mom who was due on July 23. On July 4 we got the call the Jacqueline had been born the night before, so we jumped in the car and drove to Ohio! The hospital gave us a room there so we could spend the time there with her, and on July 6, her birth mom signed the papers, and we took her home (home being a local hotel room for about a week. We had to wait for some additional legal paperwork! ). What a whirlwind! And such a miracle for us. We have been blessed beyond measure!
