TGIF! I am dragging today. Baby J was up a lot last night. Poor little saint had to have her 4 month shots yesterday and she was totally our of sorts. I'm just trying to get through the day here!
I did manage to pack my low carb food for the day. Pretty simple... shakes, cheese sticks and chicken salad. I did sneak on the scale, and it was at 198.4, so I am getting my buffer. I'm trying to take advantage of this losing time since I am prone to super long stalls, and I know its coming! So much easier to stay on track when the scale is moving.
I wish I was experiencing the improved energy I've felt before on low carb. I know its because I have so much on my plate, but I keep waiting for that energizer bunny surge!

I am so glad it's the weekend! I have so much to do, but work was just brutal this week! Glad next week is a short week. We are going to be cleaning and getting things set up this weekend. I've got to pull out all the tablecloths napkins serve ware etc. and make sure it's all ready to go! Plus I will do some of the baking I think. I'm feeling a bit anxious. I've cooked for a large crowd many times before, but everything takes longer with a baby in the house! Thank goodness Andrew is a great help.

OMG I went to the store last night it was a mob scene, but at least that is out of the way, we have the spare fridge in the garage but Tony wants to get rid of it so we got that plugged in and now I cant park in the garage, I had to give him my side and if I park in there I cant open the fridge, but it is temporary!

My cousin always uses Chinet on Christmas, I always thought that was tacky but now I see the pluses, TOny is like no way did I move all these freaking dishes and you are using chinet, LOL So I guess I am setting the tables, I still think it is OK for the kids though!

No call for delivery of my stove today I am freaking the heck out!!!!

I wanna snuggle baby J, oh Meg she is too darn cute!!!!! I love the FB pics!!!!! Nothing starts my day better than babies, puppies and kittys on FB!!!

Aww. Thanks Amber! She cracks me up she is so funny and cute. Obviously we have a lot to be Thankful for this year! I love setting a nice table...I even have enough dishes so I can set 2 tables of 10 each and all the plates match! I am probably going to do holiday paper ware for dessert though. We are going to my parents on Friday, and I don't want to be up until 1 in the morning doing dishes on Thursday!
Meanwhile, I woke up with a sore back tooth yesterday. It was killing me! But its a little better today. I am such a total wimp and i'm terrified of the dentist. If Its not better by tonight, I'm going to have to try and go...I think its just wisdom teeth...but I know I should just bite the bullet and go. Trying not to hyper ventilate thinking about it!
At least I will not be eating crap! Protein shakes are my friend today.
My sister in law and the family are coming home from their cruise today. I'm going to go get some basics to stock their fridge for when they get back. I was going to cook up a pot roast...a little ambitious for this week! Instead I'm going to grab a couple of rotisserie chickens and make a nice salad etc. so they can grab a good dinner when they get in tonight. Andrew went over there yesterday and put up a welcome home banner and balloons, etc. The kids will love it!
I better get back to work. I need to leave early to get all that done!

I came home early to let the dogs out (our dog watchers are on vacation!) and cook the pot roast I had decided was too ambitious ! I'm doing it in the pressure cooker to save time. It is so cold and windy, I thought it would be better. That with a fresh salad, and cupcakes for the kids should hit the spot after the long drive home (coming from nyc is a 7 hr drive! ) plus if they stop to eat somewhere, it will be even better tommorow, so no problem either way!

Thanksgiving Eve! Where did November go? I'm glad I spent it mostly on plan! I am going to do a pre-thanksgiving weigh in, but I think I lost almost 10lbs this month, which is totally amazing. If I can even just maintain through the holidays, I would consider it a win. If I could lose a few more by January 1, even better!

Good for you Meg, I find that if I break up the weight loss into small weight losses, you just keep going. For instance you already lost 8 pounds...you only have to do that 9 more times...just 8 at a time, don't look beyond that. Atkins will work very well, if you stay with it. I also am now writing down what I eat each day...just a little book on the kitchen counter..just for me...but I find if I have to write it down, I'm not eating that cookie looking at me...just getting another glass of water...water is good...all the time..sometimes you are really just thirsty...Good luck

I am so tired today! And sore, because I did day one of the 30 day shred yesterday and I am totally out of shape. I ate off plan at lunch yesterday...had a sandwich. On white bread.. I was having a tough day emotionally. Hubs and I had a big fight the night before, and even though we worked it all out, it stayed with me all day. I had to take Jacqueline to the neurologist, and while he said everything looked great with her developmentally, he said it is rare that she would have a neuropathy that would not effect other nerves, so we need to watch to see if she regresses in any way. That is scarier to me than her being deaf, for some reason. My sweet happy baby.
Anyway, pity party over. I'm ready to get back to it. Low carb eating makes me feel so much better and in control. I just have to get the junk out of my system! Day one again!

Oh Meg, baby J has to be fine, she is such a doll, I will be praying hard for that little bundle of joy!!! Dude that Shred kicked my butt too! I am so out of shape, I had a revelation I was the workout queen and now I have let myself go so bad, and I more than anyone know what exercise can do, ughgh so frustrating I let myself go so badly but I know it will work, I am anxious to see us make progress, make sure you measure! You may not see pounds as much as you will notice toning and your cardio improve!

Thanks Amber!
I know, I am so ready to make excercise a regular part of my life. I like that this workour is compacted into a 20 minute block. So attainable, even has my girl Anita doing the beginner moves! I will be happy to just maintain through December, but I want to lose if I can! This time of year is so challenging. Then add stress and emotion to the mix and OY! excercise will help with that, I am sure.

OH girl, Sorry for your stresses! DH, MEN can be so stubborn! I am glad you worked it all out. I do know, the stress of a baby, causes issues and that doesn't change as they get older. Differences on how to discipline, how to cope with a TEENAGERS attitude, YOU NAME it. Dh often gets frustrated with me over it all! LOL

YOU GOT THIS! Congrats on starting SHRED!

Thanks Monica! I know. Men. Who can understand them sometimes! But he is wonderful most of the time, so we are good. He is really taking his sisters cancer hard. I have to cut him more slack during this difficult time.
I'm still 1 lb up from my lowest, but making progress. I am doing my best to stay focused. I missed my shred yesterday, but did it this morning, and going to do it again this afternoon to make it up! So much easier to fit in on my work at home days! Tommorow I'll be doing it at 5 am. The evenings are so busy when we get home!

Hi Monica! I am feeling better. Not so sore. I have missed a few days. It's been so crazy this last week. I've been organizing a big meeting in the office for tommorow. I'll be glad when it's over! Plus now a few people who we're flying in for it want to cancel because of the weather. It's not snowing here! I wouldn't mind, except they just want to postpone there parts and do another meeting at a later date, which means I have to do a lot of this nonsense over again. Ugh! I'll be glad when we get to Thursday! No, I take it back...I'll be glad when it gets to Friday, because on Thursday my boss called us all into an offsite planning session, which means my team gets to sit in a hotel meeting room all day trying to figure out our 2014 plan. We already wrote one, but this means we are writing a new one! Ugh!

Haha. Will do!
I went to the cardiologist today for my yearly check up. He was very happy I've lost 20 lbs this year. He said whatever your doing, keep it up. .
I just started snowing. Hard. Ugh! I have people flying in for my big meeting tommorow. This does not make me feel very confident. Ugh!

J is great. She learned to roll over this week. She's growing so fast. We are going to (finally) get the tree up this weekend. I can't wait to see her reaction to the lights! .
My meetings went well! Thanks for asking Monica! I am way behind on my normal work so I'll be playing catch up today!

I've been MIA the last few days. After that crazy week, I got struck down by...horrors...a terrible stomach flu this weekend. I never get sick, and this one was BAD! I am back on my feet today, and going to take it very easy with what I eat. I'm thinking protein shakes and maybe some soup...ugh! At leas Jacqueline didn't get it! Thank goodness for that! This time of year seems to be so tough for everyone in so many ways. Hard to stay on plan, hard to manage the stress of too much to do, hard while missing loved ones who aren't here, all of that. I'm going to try really hard to take a step back from all of that stuff and just be grateful. We have so much! This might not be a Martha Stewart Christmas this year, but it will be so special, because we are a family. XXOO everyone!

Sorry to hear you were sick! Get that tree up J is going to love it!!! Honestly when it comes down to it, being thankful is what it is all about, that is super about the cardiologist, losing 20 pounds in a year is super!!

Going to get busy on a plan for the New Year, I think I have given up on even trying this time of year, going to eat light between the carb fests coming up, LOL

I seriously need to get on it come January, then we leave for our trip 1/17 I am going to be a big fat ball of mush! I think about our wedding how I was busting my ass and running in Vegas I have not ran in over 2 years!!!! Ughghg!
