Good Morning!
I got home around midnight, so I slept in a little and I'm working from home today. I took a sneak peak at the scale...208.2 Virgin weight loss! OMG!! I am not going to officially claim it in my stats unless it it still there Monday (maybe it will be lower?!?...don't get greedy) But in any event, my new plan seems to be working, and I am totally happy about that. I need to do my 30 min of exercise at some point today, and go to the grocery store. After I do all my work stuff, of course.
Have a great Friday everyone!

Meg, you need the salted caramel, and the almond roca, and the cookie dough favors.

I'm just sayin.

Janet,
Those all sound great!! I'm going to have to get an order together!
Amber. Thanks. I know! can you beleive after all this? But I am beign really strict, and I have done my 30 minutes of excercise each day, so if I can keep that up, I'll have to lose, right?

Thanks Kitty!
I am really happy that this new plan seems to be working so far. And I'm also doing really well with my exercise challenge. 4 days!
I have been browsing around on netrition. I was going to order the Torani salted carmel and almond roca. I'm trying to decide what else to order.
Have any of you guys tried the PB2? I was thinking it would be good to put in yogurt or a protein shake. Also, there are so many protein powders...any recommendations there? I have only tried CVS brand whey protein, but it was kinda chalky...I want to start making my own protein shakes, and not rely so much on the premade ones (which I love!). The protein powder seems kind of pricey, so I'd hate to order a big container of it and then not be able to drink it! I do see a sample pack, but it doesn't say what brand or if they are all low carb or what...
What other things should I be thinking about?
Thanks!
M

Congrats hun, I thought PB2 was nasty just use real natural PB if you get the real stuff with no palm oil or anything added a little goes a long way for flavor!

My favorite proteins are the Beverly International, Chocolate and Vanilla, I fooled around and tried a bunch and these are the only ones I buy and Snytrax Nectar, Caribeean Cooler, that is zero carb, tastes like a pina colada, I like that with coconut water or coconut milk- Tony keeps buying all these off brands and they suck! I will say Wal Mart has a brand that is very cheap $15 and not bad I use the vanilla in recipes since it is cheap and drink the BI in shakes. Costco has Premeire Protein shakes RTD, I buy those for at work, 30 grams of protein, and like 3 carbs and very good, I bought chocolate.

Thanks for the suggestions! That narrows it down for what to try in protein! I'll have to check sams for those premiere shakes. I buy low carb slim fast RTD(they just jacked the price up!!) and Atkins RTD there. I am pretty sure they have the designer whey protein Janet suggested. Amber, Where do you get the beverly international? I know netrition has the syntrax.
I was kinda leary about the pb2...but I was lured by the low calories...Thanks for steering me straight! I like a chocolate protein shake with peanut butter in it..yum.
I have to do laundry and pack for my trip this week...It is my company's sales meeting, so even though we'll be in southern california, we'll be cooped up in the hotel the majority of the time. I think I'll be ok with my food plan...the meals are all either buffet of banquet style, but I should be able to pick out good on plan choices.
Its' 29 degrees here...but the sun is shining!
Have a great Sunday everyone!

Good Morning!
I'm leaving for California in a few hours. Rushing to finish packing and try to get my dvd in before I leave. I stayed up to watch the oscars (Is it my imagination, or where they quicker, and all in different order this year?) and then I couldn't fall asleep. arg.
208 on the button this morning. This week will be a challenge, but I am up for it! Lot's of meetings, etc during the day, and lots of socializing (read drinking!) at night. I am going to try and avoid drinking except for 1 night. I's not like I'm a big drinker, but I'd rather keep it to a minimum while I'm focusing on staying on plan.

Love the pic Meg, you guys look too cute, have a safe trip, I think Netrition sells the BI too, I know they are going to have it on sale on their website starting march 1 which will be the cheapest I have seen it, so I would wait, I should get an email and let you know i am planning to stock up on it.

Who did you like at the Oscars?? I love Jlo, I dont care what they say and the red headed girl from the Help, I liked her dress

Thanks everyone!!
I got back from California around 9 last night. I had a bit of a set back this week. The food at the meeting was basically all carbs! They brought in IN and Out burger for lunch one day, but breakfast was "continental" no protein in site, and dinner was all heavy hors deouvers, all fried and wrapped in dough. UGH! Plus I slipped getting into a cab when I arrived, and hurt my foot. At first I though it might be broken, but it is just badly bruised and swollen. It is much better now, but I still can't get a sneaker on it!
I am back on track food wise, and I dug out a yoga dvd so I can exercise without a shoe, so this week should be better!

Thanks Kitty and Janet! I was a huge slug today. Just so tired!!
The wind was whipping here today. 69 MPH gusts at one point. We lost a huge limb off one of our trees, but thankfully that was all.
I'm going to get myself back moving tomorrow! Laundry and packing for Houston...and exercise and eating on plan!

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you all had a good weekend. I was a lazy slug...
210 this morning. To be expected after last week. My foot is still sore, but I'm hoping I can do a little exercise on it today. I leave for Houston in a bit, be home on Thursday. I'm packing some protein bars and peanuts for emergency purposes. I should be able to have a better on plan week since I can basically pick where I eat except at lunch time...I can make due there with a protein bar if they don't serve anything acceptable...now I just have to stay focused.

Hi everyone!
I am done with my work in Houston and so ready to come home! I fly out first thing in the morning.
I have been struggling again...I just have to work harder at recovering from these set backs! I have not had the worst week, but not great either. My foot is still sore. I've been on my feet at trade shows the last 2 days and a lot of walking, so I'm guessing that is why it's not healing as fast as I would like. I still can't tie a sneaker or wear heels...good thing flats are in!
I am hoping that I can regain some momentum while I'm home for the next 3 days. I'll be in Salt Lake City next week...sigh.
Have a great evening everyone!
Meg

Oh gosh Meg, do you ever get to slow down? I hope you get a lot of rest in these next few days at home. And WTG for seeing 208 on the scale - it will be there again in a few more days.

Checking in quick before I head into the office...
I have a lunch packed, and I know I'll be super busy today, so no time to stray and eat junk that is everywhere there!
Word on the street is that they are going to be making some changes, and soon I won't have a desk there, which means I will work from home and just go in for meetings and such. Not sure I like that...I like being able to be with my team! But then again, lately I've only been there sporadically, so I guess its not going to be very different.
Also, I have to go get an IPhone today..They are taking back our blackberries and giving us a monthly stipend ($75) to pay for our own phones...It kind of stinks because now It will cost me money, where as before I only paid taxes...but I think an Iphone will be fun, so I am looking at the bright side.
Have a great Friday everyone!!

Everyone that I know that has an iPhone loves theirs. I'm sure you will love it too!
(Not me - I'm not tech savvy. A friend at work even has the iWatch!)
