Okay, so My Calories have been 500Cal on DD and around 1750 on UD
From Oct 8 to Today, about a week, my average calories have been 1116Kcal ( definitely a caloric restriction) of those calories my fats have been 65%,proteins 21%, and Carbs 15%, so LCHF.

My Start weight on 10/8 was 133.16lb, and my weight today is 130.95lb for a loss of 2.21lb with very little effort. To get to my goal, I'd need to lose 1.71lb per week so I'm ahead of the game.

My weight is up because it's not accurate. I stayed up late overnight away from home and had some food and kefir this morning before I was able to come home and weight.

It will be up even more because I had Pizza today, but accidentally ordered thick crust thinking it was like pan pizza, as opposed to thin crust, and they brought me a 1 inch thick slab of bread with toppings on it. I don't understand when Pizza Pie became BREAD PIE! Seriously. I ate it cause BF was treating and it was what I ordered, but I'd rather have had normal pizza. I just didn't want thin crust cause it's flimsy and I did want a normal crust. I'll know better next time. I fell asleep for two hours after that bread bomb. Oh don't get me wrong, it's bread crust was crispy and tasty just like I wanted, but It was too thick. it was fluffy though like yeast bread.

I don't know the nutrition of the slice since it's a local chain, but I'll try to wing it in ****** for tomorrow's summary.

Unreported calories: two eggs, two bacon, cheese, pepper and zuchiini before bed.

I was not hungry after the pizza bomb, but later in the evening, I was really hungry and I wanted Meat. I didn't want lean chicken or lean anything. I ended up eating the hotdogs dipped in mayo and sauces, but I still wanted a fatty steak. Funny cause I expected the Bread from the pizza to make me crave carbs, but I am totally craving dense Protein rich meat. I might go out for a triple cheeseurger without the bun. ( ended up making bacon and eggs before bed, that's not in the calorie count since it was after I'd typed all this out. Needless to say it's still with me. My digestion is incomplete for some reason. So I'm kinda bloaty in the belly.

I found a weighted vest at TJMaxx last week.
It is 10lbs, but not adjustable, just 10#.
i also found some velcro strap weights that can be strapped to your wrist or ankle. Those ARE adjustable, I made sure.

I had said I was interested in slow burn, but I'm slow to get started.
I thought the vest could be cool to have for slow movement exercise.

Also, it' makes me realize how much weight I've lost since January, 14lbs, and having this vest on feels so heavy. I'm sure I didn't carry my body weight all in my chest, but still it feels so heavy. I breathe heavier just wearing it and sitting.

I thought about wearing it about the house during regular activities like chores, walking to and fro, or even just sitting and typing. I have to keep thinking of my posture. but I can already feel the difference in that I have to take deeper breaths.

I wonder if this will be of any use or if I'm just deluding myself. I'm keeping the return receipt just in case....

today is turning out to be a good day for me!

So I've been wearing the vest since I posted earlier, and instead of feeling fatigued like I expected, I'm feeling energized. and discovered something Funny.

I have a waist cincher. I put it on this morning. It's good support. I then put a t-shirt on and later the 10lb vest. I though the thick cotton t-shirt was what was keeping the vest from feeling uncomfortable on my shoulders ( it has weight material right on top of the shoulder area ) When I realized I hadn't taken off the cincher, well, I took it off ( front bucket easy to put on/take off) and the weighted vest seemed instantly heavier!! How bizarre!! So I put the cincher back on and for some reason the weighted vest was not as uncomfortable.
What do you think about that????

Also I'm wearing the 2.5 weights on my ankles today also, so I'm 15lb weighted and walking about the house doing various things, checking mail, watering the plants, rain bucket brigade, etc. The ankle weights feel good too, actually, I'm walking more deliberately. I'm really enjoying them.

I will feel so much lighter when I take them off for bed. I wish I could wear them to work, but I'd have to have bell bottom pants and a big baggy top for no one to notice!

ETA: Oh, yeah, the other reason I'm feeling energized and not so worn out by the weights is I'm doing my down day with coconut oil Bark mixed with whey protein powder, so I'm burning yesterdays carbs, Todays MCT's with no interference from digestion.

Hi Metqa

Long time no see. Good to see you here. Barbara told me you had a journal. I guess I didn't know lcf even had journals.

Looks like you're doing great on JUDDD. I've started, but reserving judgement til I can see if I can stick with it. I couldn't do the hcg anymore.

I've missed you. It's good to see you here.

Hi Metqa,

Good to see you again!!

Your journal seems to be stock full of good info, so I will be following you on your journey.

I started JUDD one week ago today, but I, too am reserving judgment as I didn't start on the 500 calorie plan.
I did start at 900 and did two consecutive days at that level to see if I could actually do these low calories without the benefit of HHCG!

I'm finding it rather easy, and I'm pleasantly surprised at how comfortable I feel.

Anyway, it's good to be posting again, and look forward to your journal entries.

I've missed you too, Glad to see you again! Sticking with it is the hardest part of it really.

I didn't know there were journals till the day found and started this one. I plan on doing another round of HCG now that I've tweaked the plan to a way I like it. But I'm not ready yet so trying to keep LDW in sight!

Well, Hello and Welcome! I wondered about doing two DD in a row but haven't tried yet. Might do me some good, considering....

Not complicated at all, eat less one day, normal the next. It just looks complicated cause I'm doing it!

But don't congratulate me just yet. Today I went WAY over on calories, and I suspect it's cause I'm in a bit of a uncomfortable mood and I an unable to cook and I have no easy meats to eat. I wanted a triple cheeseburger sans bun for dinner but drove the wrong way and instead got fried chicken livers ( I've been wanting liver for a while) but with all the breading and the biscuit, which I did eat, it took my calories way way over. and my carbs even high high Higher.

If I'd been able to cook and if I'd not been in a bad mood I could have had a better dinner. We'll see the damage tomorrow. I'm still at LDW so the down days are mitigating the stupid Up Days I've been having this week.

I still stayed in my ratio rules of 60%+ fat, so I'm not that bothered by it all. but I will have another gain tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm gonna eat apples cause I want them and they are getting old. it will be a high sugar day, but low in calories for the day. Like an apple day on HCG I suppose.

I think I need to spend some time offline. I'll keep posting my weight and menus, but I need to do some stuff IRL and I think it will be a distraction,...I know it will be actually. I spend a lot of time in front of my computer for various things, work related, LCF related and other things, but I need to do some things unrelated to computers and I need to not have any excuse or reasons for using the computer more than necessary.

Sorry to my friends who just showed up but I'll just be posting minimally for a couple of days. Don't worry, I can't stay away too long. I'm an internet addict.

If you see me anywhere but here, yell at me and send me to my room!

So nice to see Gracie and Linda checking in. I'm still stalled out on hCG. Today I'll try eggs to spur on the release of lbs.
Metqua hope you have a chance to update your scale numbers every day.

Ha, an exact Reversal!

Yesterdays Up Day Menu

3 bacon
3 eggs
56 g red bell pepper
36g zucchini

Hot dog frank
Nut bar
glass of whole milk

Carbsmart Chocolate Ice cream 66g=1serv
2g Ghee drizzle

6 Batter fried chicken livers
1 restaurant biscuit

2496 Kcal

Fat162.3g, 60%
Carb 119.6g, 19%
Fiber 8.6g
Protein 124.9g, 21%

Funny, though, I had too many calories but my ratios are still higher fat and protein, so I won't chastise myself too harshly.

to those looking at this and lamenting that I'm not losing, please remember that My goal is maintaining, so I'm being quite a bit loose. I think if I were more strict with my ratios and calories, I'd still be losing like the first week's losses. But I'm happy with the results thus far.

Gotta go do stuff. Later!!!

I agree w/ Barbara Metqa, congrats on maintaining. Thanks for your encouragement, I'm discouraged, so hoping JUDDD will help me out in that respect. I've gained everything back that I lost w/ hcg, 30 lbs worth. WTH??

Don't worry about not posting every day. I am not spending as much time online as I used to do either. A person just can't and have a life, lol. Since I've been reading up on JUDDD and this thread, I've spent way too much time but expect it to decrease again.

Yeah, that's the cool part, it's what you would expect with a "normal" persons "normal" way of eating. Not huge gains from eating to calories, and not staying heavier after eating less to compensate. Even with eating starches, I'm not holding onto extra weight...or not much anyway!

This morning...

10/21
Day 13
Today's Weight 59.6K - Back to LDW! 131.12lb
Yesterdays Weight 60 K
Difference: -0.4K (-0.88 lb)

I'm glad I'm maintaining, but it makes me said that I'm maintaining at a weight that I formerly found objectionable....But this is an important number because this is where I stopped my round. I was as high as 141lb from the meds, and so I'm happy to not be there anymore, even if it means being happy where I was unhappy before. The Honeymoon will wear off and I'll be eager to get back down to 120 soon...

Yesterdays Down Day Menu

Thin sliced sandwich meat 2 packages

2 large apples

Leftover Fried Liver 1/3, breading removed, and biscuit only half

another apple

797 Kcal
FAT - 27.7g , 31%
CARB - 94.4g, 44%
FBR - 13g
PRO - 47.8g, 25%

Gotta go do more stuff. Later Y'all, Have a Happy Friday and Good Luck Reducing and Maintaining, I'll be back in the afternoon or evening...

What do you think about that????.
Hey Metqa! From a massage therapist's point of view, the answer is that by strengthening your abdominal wall, you were able to use your muscles more effectively and you did not "feel" the weight. The proper muscles were managing the weight and the burden was lifted from your lumbar area!
Great job on your releases!

Where did you get your kefir starter? I have always wanted to try it but never bought the store brands. Can you start from one of those? If so, do you recommend a brand?

I got my kefir grains from Faithful in the Kefir United thread. She sent them to me. I can send you some if you like. Oh and Porcupine has a Super Strain of Kefir grains. He offered me some but I have too many grains right now, they grow y'know? You could ask Porcupine for some super strain grains. They are a blend of kefir grains from all over the world, so should have the maximum advantage of a variety of bacteria and yeast strains for the healthiest most vigorous kefir growth and fermentation. Hmm, I'm convincing myself that I want them now! Haha

PM me your address if you want some or PM Porcupine for some of his super strain if he has enough to give away. If not, a short wait and they grow more so we can keep gifting. we usually just ask folks to cover cost of shipping , but give away the grains freely+, shipping doesn't usually cost much, a few bucks for a bubble bag, up to $5 for a flat rate box.'

10/22
Day 14
Today's Weight 59.8K -
Yesterdays Weight 59.6 K
Difference: +0.2K (+0.44 lb)

Yesterdays Up Day Menu
Rotel Chicken with Real cream cheese, black beans, corn and red pepper
1 cup kefir
1 serving Ice cream with 8g of Ghee drizzle
a handful of almonds

Calories 1672 Kcal
Fat 102.8g, 55%
Pro 136.9g, 33%
Carb 48.2g 12%
Fbr 12.4g

I couldn't figure out at first why my fat was so much lower, but it's because my protein is WAY high for this day. Even the extra Ghee couldn't bring the ratio over 60%.

I made a version of Rotel Chicken with FF Cream Cheese and the same bean, corn, pepper mix, it has a lot of calories but less than the one with fat, so I have that for Down days if I want something meaty.

So this is my 14th day of JUDDD, and my judgment is this: If I were doing this consciously and being more serious, I believe I could have kept the down weight. But since I came into this with the intention of maintaining my weight and I did, then I call it a success for me so far.

Like I said, I haven't been really focused on trying to lose weight with JUDDD, but I think if I kept my down days similar to Simeons, and Kept my Up days much lower in Carbs then I would. In fact it's funny I had more bread like items the first week and was losing, but it was the restaurant bread items that brought my weight back up. I got away from my intention of cooking up my own bread mixes and I hope I can get my IRL stuff settled so I can get back to that.

Hey, I would like sell my recently bought GABA to anyone interested! It is powder and brand new except I used two doses of it. but there are 338 doses (1/4t = 500mg) left. It's NOW Brand Powder GABA, it's white, odorless, tasteless, dissolves in water quickly. I bought it for $10 not including shipping.

If you have success with GABA and want this "brand new minus two doses" bottle of GABA powder then I will ship it out to you on my dime if you pay for the bottle itself.

There is nothing wrong with it, i just think it's not gonna work out for me.

Sorry about the GABA, Metqa. I have a bottle I haven't even opened yet.

I'm glad the program is working for you. I'm afraid I haven't been following my calories closely enough and eating too much on my up days, too much on my down days, darn it. Each DD I think I will do better, then end up snacking too much because of hunger. Not sure what is going on with me or if I will continue JUDDD or not.

I am following your experiment closely and hope the best for you.

I make the chicken & rotel without the cream cheese for DD and throw in the miracle noodles. Still eat too much of it.

Hey Linda, I did that in a previous round with the Rotel Chicken. It was really good with the Noodles. I should have done that for this batch but I had some FF cream cheese to use up. FF cream cheese is not very tasty on it's own. So I added it to the Rotel Chicken, and Added some Glucomannon powder with extra rotel juice to thicken it up. what I forgot to remember is that FF Cream Cheese is already full of thickeners, so it's kinda gooey. Since I put the thickener+water in the whole bowl,I have a whole bowl of Gooey Rotel Chicken to eat all day!

Sorry you are having difficulty with the calories, but y'know Linda, You don't have to quit trying, because really, if you are eating more on down days and more on up days, you still are lower on you down days, so it'll be okay.

The most important thing is not to feel guilty about it. If you are hungry then you should eat. meanwhile use this trial period to figure out what you can eat that will help with the hunger. Once you figure that out, you will be able to eat less on the down days without that hungry feeling.

It is definitely not all or nothing, since we have to eat each day anyway, right? So what if you have a higher Up day. Eating less on the down day will balance it out even if it is more caloreis than you want, so long as it's less than the Up day.

Today I'm tempted to have some Popcorn, just because I want. And while it's not filling, it's satisfying, and I'll still have eaten less than the day before.

Just think of your favorite Protocol meals and add to those. i don't want you feeling guilt or defeated or any of those negative emotions. I know you can do it because, eventually,we ALL have to and you are on the right track. Many people say they start out higher and move lower, just decide that that is what you are doing. See, there you go. You are starting out JUDDD like the Majority of folks are.

Yeah, about the GABA, I'm a bit confused about what I think about it, and I'd rather someone who already benefits from it have it rather than me wasting more of it on myself.

Metqa, I think you are doing great & you're helping me with my understanding of JUDDD. Great advice to Linda, I second it.
Today is VLCD 19 for me. Net 6.6 lbs released so far. Hoping for more. Look forward to getting on the JUDDD program starting next Sat. with a DD and dining out with Gracie on Sun. for an UD.

thanks Barbara. So, next Saturday will start your P3? that's only a short week away! I hope JUDDD helps you maintain like you want it to.

I had a Healthy Life English Muffin instead of the Popcorn. I really do like English muffins. It's 80 Calories and 17 carbs for HL brand but that's a lot of crunch and yum for the same amount of carbs as a slice of regular WW bread. I like that I don't have to feel guilty ( not that I would ) for enjoying it, even on a down day.

There are some "naughty" foods I like to enjoy occasionally. I call them naughty because they don't make me feel good, they just taste good. Soft Batch Cookies is at the top of that list! the store sells a snack pack of 4 cookies. It's just the right number. but I do sometimes feel guilty because there is nothing healthy about them, but I do like them once in a while. IF I eat too many I can't stand them for a month, so no problem of a long binge! So I might just go get a snack pack to have for my Up Day at Game night because I wanna! Last week someone brought Meal-Worm Cookies. ( Ground Meal-worm flour used to replace half of the white flour, honey used as sweetener, less fat and sugar, etc) I hear they were tasty,. . . . but I was on Down Day and had an excuse to not sample one.

ETA: it might not have been so bad except they mixed in whole dried meal worms just to make sure you know what you were eating. Despite that, one fella ate one without noticing because he thought the other guy had said Oat"meal" cookies and didn't hear the "worm" part. BF tried one, it was chocolate chip, and said it was good but had an aftertaste similar to AS. Yeah, He'll eat bug cookies but is still suspicious of my cooking!
