The Big Reveal
Having had a journal prior, I realized a few things along the way: there were times when I felt as though no one was reading/commenting on my journal's content, & I allowed this to discourage me. No matter the emotional walls I put up, the fact remains that I want people to like me & find me interesting/relevant (I am a Leo, after all, and we tend to bask in the light, lol). With that said, I've realized that this journey to better health & weight loss is NOT for anyone else...it's mine, and I need to own that fully & accept the power to change for the better. Sure, I love feedback & support, but I need to find strength on my own & get this show on the road.
I've titled my journal "The Big Reveal" bc I aspire to unveil new sides of myself along the way (and, yes, I love makeover shows

Oh, forgot to mention that I registered for a 5K in May. It's called "Run Like A Girl" & proceeds go to ovarian cancer research/support. Never done a race before, so now I'm questioning my sanity. Lol. I need to go buy some running shoes & new sports headphones (I like the ones that clip over your ear). Anyone have any advice?

I was going to suggest the same on couch to 5k. But even if you start with 9 min run, 1min walk for 20 min for one week, by 2nd week you'll be able to increase your time to 30min and then customize the runs as you go based on your ability. With weight lose running also becomes easier too.

I liked it a lot...I ended up joining. Prices are comparable to the Y & it's way bigger, has more equipment & group classes I like, and it stays open 2 hours later. Won't be going today since I came to work at 7:30 and am stuck here till closing since the night person didn't show up.
