Only up 0.8 today...I'll call that a success bc I had some stuffing, a yeast roll, a small amt of mashed potatoes, but the rest was on plan. I think working out in the morning helped too.

I only went to a few stores & scored a few presents for my mom & sister. I don't think I can deal with all the aggressive Black Friday shoppers! Lol. Did you go shopping?

So, this may be TMI, but this is my journal, so here goes! LOL! I wish I could figure out why taking magnesium doesn't make me regular like it does with most people...I hate waking up feeling bloated/gassy, which I think is from the magnesium. ![]() |

Your picture's sexy. And according to Gary Taubes, there aren't the health risks attached to weight carried on the butt and thighs that there are to belly fat--it might be how women were intended to be. Please don't lose all of it.
* I'm not convinced about the need for supplements, but I don't want to miss out, just in case. What I've done recently--I don't know why I didn't do it before--is calculate the amounts of vitamins and minerals in food. Then I only take a multivitamin if I haven't got the vitamins covered that day. Most days, I think I am covering the vitamins--I eat a lot of liver, eggs, and kiwi fruit, which are like little multivitamin packages in themselves. And I think I get my minerals easily. Even so, I do take magnesium malate, vitamin D, and, on days when I'm not eating fish, fish oil. I also use flax meal. Last edited by green team; 11-26-2011 at 08:59 AM.. |

Thank you, green team! I definitely plan on keeping my curves, so no worries there.
I just want to be fit, as well. I've actually never tried kiwi...may have to look into them. So I asked for a 15 lb kettlebell (the Bob Harper one w/ dvd) for Christmas. I've wanted to start kettlebells for awhile bc I need some resistance training. I'm excited. Eating pretty much blew today...gave in to my demanding lady hormones. "ARGHHH!" as Charlie Brown would say. |

Get some fiber one cereal too, that really helps, I know you said you eat kashi cereal, measure it and eat a bowl you will go!! I add it to my FF yogurt or eat it with milk and that helps things, also make sure you are eating enough veggies!!!

Yea, I definitely need to eat more veggies...I am slackin' in that department! lol.
I completed Week 1, Day 1 of Couch to 5K training today...woot woot! It was easy, which made me glad b/c I've been doing running intervals for about a month & a half now. I still find it hard to believe that I'll be able to run 30 mins at once though! Mind-blowing. Oh, funny story: yesterday when I was shopping, every time I turned around, this man was staring all up in my face...AND he was with a woman. Trifling. LOL.

Jayce- that is awesome about C25K, I went back to it too, it is amazing how it builds you up, if smoke stack here could give up the smokes I would be so much better, that is the next thing to work on!!! Just dont do more thinking you can and dont try to outrun it, or make your own plan, umm been there done that, do what works, 3 times a week and you will be amazed on a continual basis, I got up to 25 minutes of solid running this summer and I was shocked, then the darn surgery set me back and I started slacking, so I am back on week 4!!! I am just going to take my time and follow it like I was!!!

So I'm getting my bloodwork done tomorrow morning. I've never had my cholesterol checked, that I know of, so I'm getting that & my thyroid levels checked. Probably won't hear results till within a week. Kinda nervous.

Ok, bloodwork done...at least the nurse didn't hurt me at all, so that was a plus! Lol. I just set up appts with plastic surgeon (to get mole on my scalp removed) & my new ob/gyn, so now I just need to see the dentist & optometrist, and I'll be set! Thank God for having insurance again.

Sometimes I get intimidated by other people running on the treadmills next to me, but I've also noticed that I'm able to run as much as some chicks that I've got 70-100 lbs on...that is a confidence booster b/c I feel like I'm really doing something awesome that I always said I could never do. I want to change that mindset & transform into a runner! I will be doing my 2nd day of C25K tomorrow morning...woot woot! ![]() Last edited by Jayce; 11-29-2011 at 02:39 PM.. |

Evening, y'all! Cle, for Christmas I am staying here in the area. Will be celebrating with my mom, sister & nieces.
I wore a size 13/14 pair of jeans I held onto from years ago...I love fitting into old favorites! |
