Random -- I have realized that I cannot do raw broccoli! LOL. I even bought Beano to see if it helps, but it doesn't...makes me burp like nobody's business. Real attractive. Smh...

On that note, Happy Monday! LMAO!

Good afternoon -- trying to eliminate all sodas, both regular and diet, from my diet again. Day 3 in progress...so far, so good.

Was 235.8 this morning -- happy with that b/c I was 237.4 on the 16th. I'm looking at possibly cycling my points each day (eating different points by adding in the weeklies). Some days I eat like this unconsciously, so the idea interests me. It sounds like it might keep the metabolism "guessing."

Oh, good news -- I had knocked off my passenger side view mirror last week by hitting a trashcan that was far out in the road, and my bf looked on eBay motors, found the part I needed and changed it out himself yesterday...it works perfectly, and only for $65. It would've cost me $135 for the mirror alone with no labor, which is always more costly than the part itself. He also packed part of my lunch this morning b/c I woke up a little late...made a salad, packed my light honey mustard dressing, and a SF Jell-O lemon Temptation. He is a sweetie sometimes.

Saw 233.8 this morning...glad to see it going down! I only ate once yesterday, but that was because I was upset about something. I have been sick to my stomach twice today here at work -- that's one of the worst feelings. O_O

I will be glad when Spring decides to show up and stick around! The weather here has been crazy lately...snowing one day, then like 60 the next.

1 week down of no sodas! It has been easier than I thought, aside from some headaches. I am working on water intake.

Trying to cut down on my carbs, and I am feeling irritated/grumpy right now...lol. I guess that's one of the side effects, if I remember correctly. We shall see how this goes.

Good morning...my mom made a LC Easter dinner yesterday: we had lemon pepper grilled chicken, grilled zucchini, and baked sweet potatoes. It was very good and filling. Didn't weigh this morning -- not sure where it'll fall. I've been right around 235 lately. I am about to start TOM, and I had Thai food for the first time this weekend. We did a lot of walking Saturday though -- we went to Richmond and went to the art museum, did some window shopping, then hit the Williamsburg outlets on the way home. I do know that I need to curtail my alcohol intake a bit b/c I'm sure it's not helping with weight loss. I still haven't had any sodas, so I will call that a success, at least! I also bought my bf's kids huge peanut-butter/chocolate eggs, but didn't get myself one (I lovvvve those things!), so I'll call that a mini-success also.

Thanks, Cassidy...I definitely indulged last weekend, though (we had Thai, Mexican, drinks, etc.). I was 236 this morning...supposed to be starting TOM any day now. Tracking my points hard-core again...did well yesterday, at least.

Just gotta keep on keepin' on! Even if I could lose 4-5 lbs a month, that would add up to a good amount in as little as 6 months.

Sidenote: I was looking at my legs in the mirror when we were at the hotel this weekend, and it's downright depressing. I truly believe the bulk of my weight gain goes to my thighs. It grosses me out...I don't see how I'll be able to get normal-looking legs. That's why I never wear shorts or shorter dresses...it makes me super self-conscious.

I was actually 236.6 yesterday morning -- I checked my scale this morning (it tracks your last weight). 236.4 today. Have been doing fairly well with my water intake...gonna work on upping it even more. Still no sodas!

I think I'm going to start working out after work at least 3 days a week...I think I will start with walking on the treadmill first and try to accumulate a certain number of miles per week/month. That should help with toning my legs, and it'll also give me WW activity points to use if needed.

235.8 this morning -- went over points-wise, but I ate a LC meal for lunch & dinner, and my weight still went down. I am going to keep watching my carbs to see what happens...I truly believe keeping them lower is the best way for me to lose weight.

234.6 this morning...happy to see the number going down! I am tracking everything I eat online, and I'm also trying to keep my carbs below a certain percentage of my calories. So far, so good.

I'm frustrated today for various reasons, so I'm trying to go to the movies with my friend tonight...they also serve food and really strong drinks! I need that in my life!

Proud of you for getting back to it!

Are you going to one of those theater's that serves food while the movie is playing? Went to one for the first time to see SkyFall..me no likey. Well, the seats were ultra comfy but I hated having to search around for my food!

Thanks for the encouragement, Dani... We will beat this, chica!

I was going to go to Cinebistro -- you're supposed to arrive 30 mins. before the movie starts, so that they're not interrupting the movie. They will bring out food and drink during the previews, but are usually pretty much done bringing stuff within the first 10 mins. of the movie unless they're super busy. I like the place a lot -- it's just a little pricey. I didn't end up going there after all b/c my friend couldn't make it. I did go see "Identity Thief" on Saturday though...good for a few laughs.

234.0 this morning -- was lower on Saturday, but I'm trying not to let daily fluctuations bother me (esp. b/c TOM is here).

Hope this week has started well for everybody!

233.4 this morning -- woot woot!

I packed my bag this morning to go to the gym after work. I joined Planet Fitness in February, but haven't been since then. I'm kinda nervous about going b/c it's been like last summer since I went, so this should be interesting! LOL. I am going to commit to going at least twice a week because my job will reimburse my monthly membership fee. I'm ready to start feeling more active again b/c I sit on my bum entirely too much...

Debating on starting C25K training once more...

I feel like the hardest part is getting started. Once you are in that zone, at least for me I feel like its just apart of my life. Good luck!

I agree that getting started is the hardest part -- it's mostly just changing my habits and getting in the routine again.

Thanks for the encouragement, chica!

Ok, so update on last night's gym episode: I did my normal 5 minute warm-up walking and then tried to do a running interval....um, yeaaaa...that 1 minute running just about killed me. O_O I got pretty discouraged realizing how out of shape I am. I knew it had been way too long since I worked out, but I guess I didn't realize how much your endurance, breathing capability, heart rate, etc. is affected when you stop going. I was upset with myself and didn't really want to stay, but I worked out for 45 minutes. I adjusted the incline and treadmill speed at different points to try and make it more difficult that way.

This is going to be a long road back...I realize that it'll only get better if I continue to go, however. I'm not crazy about the setup of Planet Fitness itself b/c I don't like a bunch of people near me when I'm working out, but I guess I need to get over that.

234.2 this morning....Grrrr.

I'm also getting sick--started with a sore throat yesterday. I started taking generic Allegra a few days ago, but I don't know that it's helping at all. It's going to be almost 90 degrees here today! Pollen is already on my car windshield...

I took some ACV this morning, so we'll see if that helps. Will probably have a spoonful of CO when I get home.

Thank you for the pep talk, Dani...I was seriously bummed b/c I had a certain image in my head of how my workout would go, and I fell wayyyy short! LOL. I am going again tomorrow...I am thinking of starting with a 13 week plan in my Beginner Runner's Handbook. It seems like it builds you up more slowly, which is what I probably need right now based on last night's experience. I am also considering buying 30 Day Shred, but I'm scared. I have seen great Before & After results, though!

Hmmm...oil of oregano...I need to look into that! I need major help with my allergies!

I contacted a local running group b/c they do the Jeff Galloway training with walk/run intervals...we'll see what they say. I asked if someone currently out of shape could feasibly do this. I think the support from a group of people would make a huge difference. It costs $200, but it covers yearly membership. Just something to consider...

232.8 this morning...was happy to see that number going down! Last night's experience at the gym was much better. I was super red in the face and sweaty afterwards, but I was able to do 6 one minute running intervals as opposed to only 1 on Monday. I call that a success.

I'm either going to do a workout video or take a walk in the park later this evening.

You're doing GREAT! We're both hovering around the same number... just when I've got my footing in place dumb ole TOM is threatening.. It figures, huh?

The running group is a fantastic idea! My BFF is part of one and she loves it!

The scale is going in the right direction!!! YOU GO GIRL! Don't worry about your current fitness level, if you keep at it you WILL get there! And the more you go the easier it is to just do it. When you make it apart of your life you feel weird without it

Good morning! 233.8 this morning...ate way too much Friday and a few too many carbs Saturday, so my weight had bounced up a few from 232.8 on Friday morning, but it's coming back down. *phew* I asked my bf to take me to this lighthouse at Cape Henry here in VA Beach (he has a key b/c he does maintenance on its light every few months), and the stairs were KILLER! LOL. Seriously, my heart was racing and my calves have been super tight ever since.

Here's a view at the bottom of the lighthouse...

Guess I need to do stretches...hmmm, maybe the stairmaster should be my next machine I try at the gym.

Speaking of which, I completely spaced it on packing workout clothes, mp3 player, shoes, etc. this morning. O_O Gotta get it ready the night before so I don't have an excuse. Maybe I'll walk when I get home if it's not raining. My Jillian DVD should be here Wednesday....ohhhhh sh*t! Time to "Shut Up & Do It" as my ladies used to say here back in the day.

Off to lunch to grab a grilled chicken salad from Chick-fil-A. Trying to figure out how low I want to keep my carbs in accordance with tracking my calories...
