I like that I don't have to worry about forgetting to take pills, which was my main reason for getting it. The insertion was bad for me, but the nurse practitioner said I was the "exception," not the norm. Lol. I need to go get it re-checked again to ensure it's in the correct place (they check this intermittently). As I said, I've noticed my hormones are more screwy at times, but it's not constant. One good thing is I can lose weight while on it (when I'm actually trying). The Depo shot was terrible in that regard.

Congrats on the loss! I am the meanest person on hormones...all the time...and when TOM comes everyone just need to stay out of my way..LOL. For that reason I have the copper IUD instead. It doesn't release any hormones and I get the same protection as the Mirena...plus an extra 5 years..LOL. Hope your symptoms get better as your body gets use to it...

I made an appt. to have my IUD removed on the 22nd.

Everything is ok...been working a lot. Not doing so well w/ the eating, but I am trying to work on it.

Hang in there honey. Once the IUD is out maybe that will get you back into focus with your weightloss goals. Hormones are such a whacky thing. Tough to work through, but will be worth it once everything evens out for you. You're so close to Onederland!!!

I feel like crap warmed over! I binged earlier today & my stomach has hurt ever since. I had a Sonic bacon cheeseburger, cheese fries, a vanilla Coke, then I stopped in a store & bought sour cream/onion chips & family-size bag of PB M&Ms (they're almost completely gone!). I hate when I do this...I think I did it today b/c I am feeling lonely & bored. I was 222 this morning...sucks balls.

I guess I need to stock up on eggs, tuna, cheese, chicken, ground beef, etc. bc I am reeling out of control lately & don't want to undo my previous hard work.

Hey lovee, been there done that MANY times. I know how you feel, lonely and bored is a sh1tty place to be. Dust off your shoulders and go to bed tonight knowing that you don't deserve to feel crappy like that, physically or emotionally. Get back on track tomorrow (as hard as it will be) because you know not one bite of that food felt as good as seeing a new low on the scale or fitting into a pair of jeans that have been too tight before.

I know you can do this and I know you want it bad enough. You will do this. Picture yourself at your lowest and tell yourself you WILL be there again and beyond if you so choose. I was where you are not long ago with gaining a bunch back and I really had to slap myself silly and give myself the old "WTH are you doing?!" talk, but we all need it once in a while.

Keep your head up doll, let me know if you ever need to talk
