Hey Jayce, I have not had a cherry coke since my surgery I guess I could drink diet soda now I am sort of trying to stay off it, I wonder if it makes me crave sweets? Do you find that? Also my little cigars I smoked were cherry and I think it reminds me of them! That bread looks pretty good carb wise!

Good morning, ladies!
Amber, I don't notice that it makes me crave sweets, but I am going to limit my intake of diet sodas bc I have a tendency to just wanna grab those at work instead of water. Yea, that bread is low WW points-wise...I saw it marked down, so I grabbed it. My favorite is still 1 I have to get at Trader Joe's. Sore this morning...guess that's to be expected since it's been a few months. The guy I'm seeing sent me a picture via text after he did "Insanity" & he was drenched in sweat. Those commercials make that program look super difficult.

Yeah soda is bad for you it leeches the calcium from your bones but I figure one a day isnt so bad
Jayce if you got a man doing Insanity no kidding that is tough stuff I think it is worse than P90X. That is good that he is into working out, you should go and do it with him some time! |

Blah...this rainy weather pisses me off. Lol.
Not going to post in the HB thread anymore, so I'm just going to post here primarily. Thinking about doing Protein Power...that's what I did my first time I tried LC in '03. |

It's a book by Drs. Michael & Mary Eades...I have the original book, which bases your protein intake on a formula based on height, weight, activity, etc. You start out at 30 carbs or less, then move up to 55. It's similar to Atkins, although not as restrictive in which foods you can have.

I am going to google that. It sounds interesting. I want to shake things up a bit but I am so scared.... not sure yet. Just gonna stick with Atkins for a few more months then switch. I think O_o

I wish I could stick w/ WW, but I keep wanting to binge. I think if I could get sugar & white flour out of my system again, then I'd have a better chance.

Hi Sweetie Pie! I'm so glad you are around and doing well. I think you gotta do what's gonna be liveable for you. I tried and tried and tried to do WW but I just can't stick to it without wanting to stuff my face with piles of bread and fruit! I think it's the insulin imbalances I have that creates all that drama so best for me to forego the WW...
I've heard great things about PP. Good luck honey, we're all here with you! Mmmmmmmm Cherry Coke Zero...only "diet" soda I like! ![]()

Heyyyy Danielle! Long time, no see. Glad you stopped in!
I like WW...I just don't think I'm in the right mind-frame right now to stick with it. I may try it again after I've at least gotten under 200. If I can get another 15-20 pounds lost, it would be huge for me. I seem to keep cycling back to 218 ever since January. Thanks for the support, ladies! |

Found this recipe in the Atkins forum...sounds yummy.
Where's The Crust? Pizza Crust 1 (8 oz) package of full fat cream cheese, room temperature 2 eggs 1/4 tsp ground black pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese Topping 1/2 cup pizza sauce 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese toppings -pepperoni, ham, sausage, mushrooms, peppers Garlic powder Preheat oven to 350. Lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. With a handheld mixer, mix cream cheese, eggs, pepper, garlic powder and parmesan cheese until combined. Spread into baking dish. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow crust to cool for 10 minutes. Spread pizza sauce on crust. Top with cheese and toppings. Sprinkle pizza with garlic powder. Bake 8-10 minutes,or until cheese has melted. |

Protein Power was the first LC book I read, it's what got me into LCing. The Eades' are wonderful. I tend to follow PP closer than I do Atkins usually. You should read it, its a good one

B: Coffee w/ half & half, 3 Splenda packets, SF Archer Farms caramel syrup, and 1 Tbs Nutiva EVCO. 2 slices Velveeta cheese.
L: 2 Wendy's Jr. bacon cheeseburgers w/ mayo (no buns), 1 hard-boiled egg. Coke Cherry Zero. SN: 1 package Planter's peanuts (4 g carbs) D: 1 Pierre Angus cheeseburger with 1/2 bun (approx 17 g carbs, including cheese). Coke Cherry Zero. Will probably have another snack later. I really need to work on getting water in! If you can't tell, I have a slight problem drinking Cherry Coke Zero at work. LOL I was 216.8 this morning, which is better than yesterday, which was 218.4. I swear I keep cycling back to 216-218 repeatedly. Last edited by Jayce; 05-23-2012 at 04:46 PM.. |

Excited bc my mom went to Trader Joe's today, so I asked her to get me the sprouted bread I love and some almond butter & nitrate-free bacon. Woooot!
Just had some pork rinds w/ french onion dip...yum! I need to buy another bag to put in food processor to make breading "crumbs" for chicken & fish. |

Hey Nikki & Melanie! Happy Friday, ladies.
214.4 this morning -- my goal is to hit 205 by my birthday (July 24). Of course, I'm still shooting for Onederland, but we'll see! Worked out this a.m., so that's out of the way. I tried walking the trails at the park close by, but these things that looked like horseflies kept biting me, so I ended up going to the gym instead. Lol |
