A's Journal

Hello everyone (anyone? buller?) I decided to start this journal to keep me on track because since I've started my diet I've been cheating a lot - not because I have problems with cravings or uncontrollable hunger, but because I have a issues saying no to friends. There's always a wedding, a birthday, a baby shower and it's very hard to say no when I'm offered a piece of cake or whatever. Deep down I don't even want it, and I feel awful immediately after eating it, but I don't have the energy to explain to people why I don't want the cake (and of course people WILL ask why you're not eating. how could the fat girl DARE to deny cake?!?!) so it's easier to just eat.

Yesterday was my best friend's birthday and I decided that was the last time I'm going to put myself through this. From now on I'm going to stay on track and finally reach my goal. My first challenge will be in two weeks: my own birthday. I want to lose at least another 10 pounds by then.

(Some parts of the pictures are blurred because for privacy issues I don't want to show my face or tattoos, not because I was going for a The Ring creepy look )

It is hard to say no. Going into an explanation might discourage you more because people have a million opinions.
Maybe you could try just to say "No thanks, my stomach doesn't feel right."
