Round 2... FIGHT

I lost 60lbs (285 to 225) the first time I did this diet and worked out 4 years ago. I'm 6ft with a big build. After I had lost all that weight I went into my last year of college, got a internship at a major engineering firm, and started tutoring. I chose my career over my health easily gaining most of it back within a year. Over the past 3 years I concentrated on my job performance and ballooned up to 300.4lbs in a sedentary lifestyle.

When I got over 300 it was a shocker and I felt a range of emotion (fear, anger, panic, depression, determination, urgency.. ect). This is my wake up call and I intend to fight.

Started round two of diet and exercise September 9th 2011. I'm engaged and we are committed to losing weight and keeping it off for life. I am working out every other day, I hope to get up to every weekday but the day after a workout I am too exhausted. I am taking Jack3d (about .75 of a dose) before each workout and it really pumps me up.

As of today I am 296. I know most of the 4lbs are water weight but the keto strips are showing a nice dark purple. On top of that I FEEL so much better. I am more alert, sleep better, and don't feel bloated all the time. I have to do this diet, I have to win.

Got into a fight with my fiance over her not working out and skipping meals at work. When she lost all the weight her first time she didn't work out much, so she thinks that she doesn't have to; But that was in college when you get at least 30-40min of walking every day. And she knows better than to skip meals.

Also low carb diets make me short tempered :/ heck, all diets make me cranky hehe

Oh well, just had an amazing work out. When I am on the elliptical I can feel my skinny self down in there, like I am wearing a fat suit. kind of a weird feeling but it is helping me push harder. I uploaded some old pictures of myself when I had lost a lot of weight the first time. Dang I did look good, I remember not thinking I did but looking back now... I'd give anything to get back there. Which is why I am doing this in the first place!

Ate too much wasa crispbread yesterday, stalled my weight loss (throwing whats left out, obviously I can't handle them). Still 5lbs in a week is amazing progress. I need to switch to weighing myself once a week. Still feel good, also it's WORKOUT DAY!!

Worked out again last night, still stalled as of this morning but keto sticks showing positive. If I have energy I might try to do some cardio tonight.

294 This morning! Down roughly 6 lbs. Great work out last night, pushed really hard. I calculated that if i lose 2lbs a week that I'll hit my Target weight next May. Then I realized next may is my 10year highschool reunion. If things go as planed, after the reunion I'll have my own wedding 5 months after. That's 5 months to lose the last whatever and get into onderland.

Oh it's fun to dream, but better to make your dreams a reality.

Wow Wow! 291 this morning! What a nice surprise. I watched the Larry King live interview of Dr. Atkins that someone posted on this forum, never realized that I have been following this man's plan without ever watching him speak about it! I wish he could be my doctor :/

OK so I haven't weighed myself since that big drop to 291 because I knew it was highly likely that it could be higher or the same. I desperately want to get into the 270s because then all of my clothes would fit comfortably again LOL. (I had to up to XXL and only have a few shirts at that size, most are XL).

Yesterday I worked out but my muscles were still sore so no weight training. Then I pulled some weeds and mowed my lawn. When I was done I was a big stinky mess, but it felt good. I ate some rib eye steak mummmm (after a proper shower of course).

I noticed that I'm getting hungry like every 4 hours now, maybe because I am working out? Usually when I do Low Carb my appetite is suppressed but maybe my exercise is boosting it.

Still stuck at 291 but it is OK, I know I am following my diet correctly and the weight will come off. I worked out super hard last night while watching The Biggest Loser, that show really motivates me. I hopped up on my functional trainer and was able to do some assisted pull ups. Another mini goal is do do them unassisted of course.

290, About time I got some movement. Really all I want to lose is 2lbs per week so if I can keep that up I'll be happy.

Made Cheese Crackers for the first time. OMG YUM! Munster cheese tastes just like a ritz cracker! The sharp cheddar was amazing as well. My fiance finally worked out with me today!!! HAPPINESS

In other news, I love RenFest. You know what I love best about it, it's low carb friendly! Steak on a stick, smoked trukey legs, scotch egg, sausage... list goes on. It's nice to go out and have a nice time and not have to worry about ooo what ill I eat... not SALAD AGAIN ugggghhh. Salad is such a 4 letter word to me. Although when I do get a salad I make it a Texan salad. AKA a steak with a single lettuce leaf on it.

Waiter: What will it be?
Customer: I'll have the Texan Vegetarian Salad
Waiter: Will that be the beef, Chicken, or Pork?
Customer: No no, I said the Texan vegetarian Salad
Waiter: So.. you want the meat on the side?
Customer: Never mind, I'll have the California Salad
Waiter: Oh you mean the regular salad with a slice of avocado and costs twice as much?
Customer: Yeah that's the one!

You are doing brilliantly so far. You have that infectious, early-diet enthusiasm. If you have the determination, you will get there.

I know what you mean about the fat suit. I'm doing well on my diet, but it comes as a wake-up call to look in the mirror and see how much still needs to come off.

Thanks for the encouragement Green Team. I am very determined, this is probably the longest I have gone without a cheat day. And I have no intention of having one anytime soon. This is also the first Time I have had a set Workout Scheduled and followed it to the T; Workout Every other Day.

Ohhh and Carbohydrate delivers a sharp uppercut to Steven. His noes looks congested and he looks fatigued. Will he fight back?

OK so Carbs isn't want gave me a cold, but I am going to blame them anyway. LCing while being sick sucks. I have to force myself to eat LC because my body is looking for comfort food. I need to make myself some homemade soup but I don't have the energy.

Also it is work out day. I figure I can at least do my elliptical and I won't be taking any jack3d so I hope I can manage.

Crappy work out last night. I hope to be over this cold really quick. Still sitting around 289, lame. I'm thinking about going to a doctor to get a check up so I can get a baseline to compare it to in a couple months.

In my opinion, you shouldn't work out if you don't feel like it. I'm quite convinced by the arguments of Arthur De Vany, who exercises randomly, when he feels like it. He also skips meals here and there if he doesn't feel hungry. The amount and intensity of my exercise is increasing as my diet progresses. This conforms to the notion that the lighter an animal is the more it exercises--compare an ant to an elephant. I let my body tell me when it wants to exercise, rather than commanding my body when to exercise.

I'm impressed that you're not cheating. I haven't cheated either, and it's the first diet where I haven't. I think the secret's in the low-carb food, which is very satisfying.

Usually when I work out, the next day I am sore and tired and I take it easy. But then the day after that I am bouncing around the office because I have so much energy. My co-workers think I've gone bit crazy and they know when it's my "workout day"; I can't wait to get off work and do some exercise. So with the exception of the other day, I do work out when my body wants. Actually the light cardio exercise I did with a cold cleared up my sinuses so I kind of enjoyed it

I had a dream last night where I was running as fast as I could and it felt amazing. I felt light and like I could run forever. I wonder if that is what skinny people feel like when they run?
Like any true big-guy I hate running (and stairs). Hate hate hate. I don't ever think I'll be one of those people who likes to run, but if it felt the way it did in my dream last night I can see why people like it. Unfortunately I don't think my body is built for that, I have a big build. Bicycling however, I could do that for a long time no sweat.

Scale not moving much but I feel great and my clothes fit better. I am not discouraged as much as I thought I'd be. I think I have realized that this is my new Life and that I have the rest of my life to lose the weight (so I'm not in any big hurry). 1-2 pounds is my goal weight loss per week and I am so proud of myself for not cheating even though I didn't lose any weight last week. I've started week 5 and I'm a total of 12 lbs down, not too shabby.

Carbs keep blocking all of Steven's Attacks, how can he win?!?! What's this? Steven appears to be summoning strength for a hard hitting attack; He is going to power through Carbs blocks! Steven scores a round house kick to the face, carbs looks down for the count.

Wooo 2lb weight loss! Finally some movement! There will be dancing in the street.

The muscle definition. What I've heard, Orcs Must Die is the new Jane Fonda Workout. Leotard-wearing optional.

So I broke my elliptical beyond repair, the Axel broke and it looks like it was welded in. Poor design bladez! I am now in the market for a used Life Fitness Elliptical. They are the best elliptical I've ever used. I lost all my weight the first time running on one of those things at the UofH Recreation Center and it delevers a far superior work out. I want one very badly. It looks like used Gym modles go for about 1250 - 2000$ But what is 2K vs being healthy in life?

Since my elliptical is broken I was afraid I wouldn't get a work out in but the guys from work play Basket ball on Thursdays so I decided to go along. We didn't have enough for a 3v3 so we played a game called knockout. OMG I'm so tired, basically if you can't make 3 pointers, you are running for rebounds the whole time. It's is like non stop running. I got quite a good work out and now I get to go home and relax or maybe I'll do a video with my fiance.
