I'm so frustrated.
I started exercising, drinking water and weighing my food this week. I was expecting good results and I gained 2 lbs. It is frustrating to do the things I should be doing and gain weight!
My calories and carb counts are good.
It is TOM, so I hope that is the cause.

I could just sit here and cry!

Hang in there, I know it is hard but TOM does do crazy things to our bodies. This too shall pass and hopefully when it does you will see a nice whoosh

My weight is still up!
I went and had some blood work done and my TSH level was 3.75. Was 1.82 last time.
I had my labs redrawn yesterday and having some additional test done. And I see a new endo at the end of May.
Regardless, I am sticking to it. I have lost a lot of weight and though I am disappointed with a gain, I know that I can stick with this and be back where I want to be eventually.
I may have to cut my calories.

I love exercising. I never liked it much before. Now i feel so accomplished....even though my weight is going the wrong way. (And nope, it is not muscle...all my weight gain is showing in my belly.)

I've had to cut my calories to 1400 or less if I want to see any downward movement. Low carb alone isn't cutting it anymore. Yuck...

My weight is still a little higher than I would like it to be. I am at 168 and I'd like to be 162...I'd settle for 164.
But I am much more back on track. I am eating well, drinking more water and exercising. I am enjoying my walking. I am at 6.78 miles for today.

I am addicted to Dunkin Donut coffee with mocha and cream. I gave that up as of Wednesday. I drink 1-2 per day, every day, so it is significant calories. I am not going to have one until Memorial Day and then I will see if I can handle it being an occasional treat like it used to be. I still drink coffee at home, but it doesn't have nearly as much cream and no mocha.

Lost 2 lbs this week! That is huge for me!
I am back to 166, which is one pound below my goal weight at my weightloss group. I feel great about it.

165 1/4 this week.

I'm sitting here reflecting on my weights and how I feel about them.

At 162 last summer, I felt awesome. I was really proud.
I went up to 170 a few months ago and I felt horrible about myself.
167 and I was a little happier, but not pleased.
165 1/4 and I am almost back to feeling like I did last summer.

It is really pretty ridiculous that I let 8 lbs make me feel so poorly about myself.

I know it sounds bad...but if you are OK with 8lbs than it will be you're OK with 20 more lbs....and before you know it you're right back where you started..... believe me I have been there. Be proud of yourself for being able to stay at your weight for a year and more. It isn't easy!!

I haven't posted in a while!
Still chugging along. I think I am at 168 this week. I seem to be up and down the same few lbs.

I'm feeling okay with my weight. This seems to be comfortable. I'd like to be a few less pounds though.

I can so relate to this. I lost to 184, and then gained back 5 lbs., and I've been sitting at 189-ish for the past 6 months! It's so frustrating. Like, how did I ever even get down to 184 in the first place??

I mean, I'm glad I haven't gained more than 5 lbs. back, but I TOTALLY understand what you're talking about. I want to maintain at my lowest, dang it!

I'm 2 years into my low carb life style.

It has been rough recently. I've been struggling a lot.
My weight is back up to 167-170ish. I can't get it back down to 162 where I want to be.

I'm going to keep working at it and not give up.

I have not done well lately, which is why I am not posting. It may also be that I am not doing well because I have not posted.

At my weigh in last Thursday I weighed 179. Prior to that I was around 172. I think the 179 was a lot of water weight. I hope it was a lot of water weight.

I am ashamed and disappointed.

Today I ate:
DD coffee. With Mocha. Bad.
Canned chicken with mayo
Rotiserrie chicken breast
small dark chocolate bar. BAD!

For dinner, I will eat chicken and salad.

And hope to cut the carbs and the bad stuff.

I'm back on track as of last night. I was 174 last week at my weigh in.

Today I started an egg/meat fast. I have had 9 eggs so far today.

3 3/4 lb down tonight at my official weigh in. It is not all from my fast. I have been eating better all week.
That said, I gained 7 1/2 lbs the first week of the month, and I am only 7 lbs of that down, so I still have that 1/2 lb to lose, plus my goal of 1 lb this month, so 1 1/2 lbs in the next 2 weeks. That should be easy with my fasting. I hope!

Survived another day!
I had a few moments I felt weak today but I made it through. I wanted a soda or mocha coffee soooo bad. I made it through without getting one. Then I came home and used a Ketostix and saw I am back into ketosis, so that gave me a little motivational boost.

Right now my daughter is begging me to give her a spoonful of honey. It will be a struggle to get her one and not eat one myself. I wish my husband was home to get it for her!

Good for you!!! Keep it up.... I know it isn't easy...the weekend didn't go so well for me diet wise but I am back at it today. I have switched to counting calories because I am so close to goal and I hope to do better at maintaining this way.

I survived the honey incident the other day. I had a spoon and the honey in my hand and my son saw me and yelled "No Mommy, you don't want sugar, it will make you fat." I guess he actually does hear me when I talk. I got my daughter her spoonful, him a spoonful and backed away from the honey.

Saturday morning I was down 4 lbs. I knew it was too good to be true. It was back up Sunday morning.
But as of this afternoon, I am down 2 lbs since Thursday. If that sticks, I will be thrilled.

I have running around to do after work, so I don't know how dinner is going to work. But, I will see what I can do to make it as low carb as possible.

My weight this morning was what it was Saturday morning. I was quite happy.

I went out to lunch though. I did okay but I ate spinach dip,a crab cake and a Cesar salad. Not as bad as it could be, but I am not thrilled with it!

I'm going to go on a nice walk to pick my son up from school and see if I can burn off those carbs.

Don't be so hard on your self. At least you avoided the bread and chips with the dip. I think if you get your exercise in you will burn up any extra carbs!!

172.8 today, so slightly higher than last Thursday morning. (172)
It is TOM and I ate some carbs this weekend.
The plan of M&E during the week and some carbs on weekends seems to be going ok.

I say if you are only .8 higher and its TOM than you are doing good!! How many carbs are you eating on the weekends? I am seriously thinking about going back to low carbs but I dont want to do it if I cant have some carbs on the weekends....this time of year makes it so hard to stay on track!!! For now I am counting calories everyday except Sundays. Slowly but surely the weight is coming off.

111 carbs on Saturday but that is total, not net. It was a REALLY bad day for me. I had chicken fingers and a soda at a stadium!

Yesterday I had 36.

My weight was up again slightly this week. I was not sure why, but I realized this morning that I am kinda constipated...then I realized I've been taking my kids vitamins, so the iron is probably binding me and hopefully the reason for the weight gain...

Other than that, I am doing ok.

That will do it too ya!! I am taking fish oil this go round I have heard it really helps with that. I just started back to low carbs today so I will let you know if it helps.
