My hubbs has a love/hate relationship with the auto industry. The hours SUCK big time but the amount of income can become limitless depending on how much you want to put into it. Also, what kind of dealership you end up at will depend heavily on how much or how little you make..ie: Ford vs. BMW etc... It can be quite lucrative once you get into managing etc...they make VERY good money.

Hey Miss Maggie. Mother's Day was good, how was yours? I got a dozen roses, lunch out with the kiddos, and Bryan took me to see Dark Shadows. He also got 3 days off from work so that was a treat!

They are driven, like you. Get yourself a check up so you can stop worrying about your health but you know what?? Maybe...you are just dog tired and need some R&R and a break from school and all the mental worries that you've been carrying. Hmmm? Maybe?

Check in when you can, cuz we're all here for you!
I am VERY happy school is out. And I even ended up with my 4.0 afterall!! I pulled that A in Asian History, I suppose she ACTUALLY liked my paper I handed in.... for once. I'm just glad it's over. and Yep, call me crazy I am considering taking the second half of this history class that continues from 1850 to the present time....I'm just fascinated! My best friend lives in Montana and I haven't seen her in years I'm sure there is trouble waiting to happen....much to dh's dismay It will be nice to get out of "this" hot for awhile! I've been to the doc and I'm told I'm "normal"....uh huh..... not the word I'd use for myself... ... but seriously, no, they said everything is fine and yet my fasting bg was 110 and he refused to do a 2 hr bg on me, said I was a-ok....yeah I know..time for a new doctor I had this same issue with him several years ago as well.... but I KNOW that there are issues with my blood sugar, it's crazy wonky...

I am great - thanks for asking! Families are tough and I am taking it one day at a time.

LOL Janet that was very ummm, ....diplomatic? Yeah, families are definitely tough and one day at a time is probably the only way to go. What I've learned is that an all intact family is actually the minority and I always thought it was the other way around. I'm learning to let it all go and be happy with myself, it's all I can do.

Speaking of happy.....ugh.....got on the scale today....

Could be a movie night, not sure? I want to see Avenger's again... Dark Shadows was good, but I am in love with Thor

Debating on what I need to do to get back on track...I NEED IT!

Here's what I did, it may help you. First I told myself I could eat what I want as long as it's low carb. After just a few days I got my cravings under control. I continued to LC until I felt really strong and switched back to JUDDD. I know you can get back on track you just need a plan of action.

PS~ I'm still watching my carbs on up days, but it would be better if I would watch more closely....

Hi Danielle!

Just wanted to say hello and tell you how much I've enjoyed reading your journal. It is so interesting and fun too! I am also a "Desert Gurl," living in Scottsdale. I'm new to LCF and am really inspired by everything that I read.
I'll be happy to follow along your journey and cheer you on if that's okay!

Take care!

You can always join me on the Hcg Protocol! Nah, just keep it LC and you will well be on your way.

I saw the Avengers also last weekend for Mother's Day with DS. Did I tell you that I am in with Robert Downey Jr? Of course he is my secret crush and Thor was cute also. Anyhoo I am glad to see you are thinking about how to get back on track but I am just happy that you are posting again!

Enjoy your weekend Danielle!

Ok, so I've done some thinkin this weekend, and I've downloaded DANDR to my Kindle and I'll be reading and getting ready to do it by the book. No implementing my "own" version of anything. I think in the past, while my intentions were good, I started bringing in foods off the 2nd phase in too fast and it just creates the unknown of understanding what kinds of foods my body can & can't handle. So this time it will be slow and easy and we'll see where that lands me. My body is telling me, no, SCREAMING at me that things are not well, and it's time to start listening and do what I need to to get well. I am not lookin to be a size 2, it will never happen and I'm ok with that. However, I do need to get down to a somewhat normal weight so that I can ensure I'm around to enjoy this next phase of life me and the hubbs are getting ready for in a matter of a couple years!! I'm excited and I feel like I'm doing the right thing.

Very good advice! I beleive lc'ing is where it's at though, my body loves it. I'm glad to see that you are getting back to your old routine and feeling like yourself again!

Lord Maggie, the idea of 500 calories.... I tried the protocol and after 2 weeks I was ready to kill someone. I dunno if it was the lack of calories, or the drops but I was cranky as heck and no fun to be around. I think I'm stickin to lc and see what happens. Oh no no, do not get me wrong, I am a HUGE Robert Downey Jr fan...since high school! I just love Chris Hemsworth, he's SO cute! I can't wait to see him in Snow White & the Huntsmen in June!

Thanks Cassidy! I have missed everyone here, and it definitely makes a difference in the mentality by not being here every day...even when I wasn't on any sort of plan it still kept my head in the game a bit by being here daily and socializing. School killed me last semester, I didn't bargain for that at all... I think this past week I've slept in every day until 9 or 10 still trying to reccuperate (sp?) from all the previous weeks drama!

Hey Nikki, you are looking pretty dang amazing lady!

So, I'm supposed to be reading and refreshing on DANDR but I cannot seem to stop reading Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I abosolutely love the book! Tried reading it about a year ago but couldn't get past the first couple chapters and gave up.... Saw American movie of it, then watched the Swedish trilogy of all the books a few months ago and promised myself that when school was over I was gonna read the trilogy this summer... I. Can't. Put. It. Down!

This week I'm focusing on cutting out soda and junky food and getting my kitchen ready for an overhaul. I'm excited!

I hear you on the soda Danielle. I have been working on ridding myself of it for only going out to a resturant but it seems to always creep back in for a day or 2 for me. I guess I justify drinking it because at least I am not indulging in other foods that can really pack the pounds on. Working on this also this week so you are not alone in your attempt in cutting it out of your woe. Go slowly, maybe it will help. Did I tell you that I am so glad you are back to posting?

Have a nice Tuesday!

Amber, you're nuts woman! 109 is no bueno! I am relieved school is over so I have time to catch my breath and enjoy a few down months. Next semester is gonna be sort've hectic until we get DD driving and a car, but I think it'll all work out.

As for the Swedish version of Dragon...we bought ours I'm sure you can rent them tho? I have the 50 shades triology on my list for AFTER the Dragon trilogy.. One thing I do know, I love Daniel Craig as Mikael much better than the Swedish guy...

I feel really run down today...already...it's only 11:30 and I just woke up like 90 minutes ago Checked my BS... 98.

Maggie! I love me some soda! Thankfully its been so hot here that drinking just water hasn't been a problem! Thanks for missin me while I was gone!

Janet, hope you're having a great day!!!

My sister told me I have to read 50 Shades of Grey. I'm on the waiting list at the library for it but I have been waiting for like 3 weeks. A friend from work gave me a book to read today, it's gonna be a movie too it's called Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

I loved this book also but I recall that it was really "wordy" for the first half of the book...then got really good. I recently finished The Girl Who Played with Fire", that took me even LONGER to read but it was worth it. Next on my list is the last book in the trilogy (as soon as I finish the third book from Game of Thrones).

Hey woman! Glad to see you back! We missed your face!!!!

My friend sent me e-copies of the 50 shades books, but I'm scared to read them, everyone calls them mommy porn! LOL, so I'm not sure what I am in for! I just started re-re-re-re-re-reading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, so I'll be stuck in that for a while, I'll just wait to hear what you ladies have to say about the 50 shades books before I dive in!

Sara have you read the newest Dark Tower book, "The Wind in the Keyhole" or something like that.
I really enjoyed it but I do love the series.
