I'm just glad that I don't have to ever worry anymore about "listening for the phone" or her "telling" me how things should be done. Ugh! She is poison and so glad I'm over n done with her. took me a long time to break free and therapy along the way. LOL She's a mess!

Packing? What's that?

The last 4 days have gone by in an absolute blur. I can't even tell you everything I did because there's too much. I DO know, that packing was not involved!

We found a place to live. It's a condo, split level, and I am finally gonna get a garage back. Yeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!! *said in my best Napolean Dynamite voice*. It's so cute, I can't wait til we move. We debated about finding a house to rent but where I would like to live in a home, near the high school, it is pretty spendy. Also, can't justify the expense for the remainder of our time here in AZ, with a house because my 2 oldest will be leaving to Univeristy next summer so there will just be 3 of us for 9 months out of the year for the next while.. Right after DD15 graduates, the plan is to move back to CA.

Oh, there's a lil catch with the new place.
My lease doesn't end hear until the 28th of Nov. the latest we could get the new place was Nov. 17th. The dilemma now becomes; do we move before or after Thanksgiving. I mean, either way I'm screwed for the holiday because stuff is gonna be either still boxed from just moving, or boxed waiting to move. *sigh* always something, huh? The kids are fine with adlibbing holiday dinner and really could care less. My girls eat like birds, and DS, well, he'll end up at his gf's house and eat anyways. I just feel bad, yanno?

I have done poorly with my eating this past weekend and Mon,Tue. Stress is a ****** I tell ya! I am finding that I am way way way frustrated with not being able to do my walking workouts. I tried Sun. night to get my foot into a sock and tennis shoe... I couldn't even handle the sock being on, much less the shoe. So, after getting lectured by my BFF (the one who's marathon'ing with me) for trying to force the walking sooner than I should, she informs me that I should try doing TBL Yoga dvd. She said I'd love it and it would make me feel like I'm accomplishing something while I'm waiting for my stupid foot to heal some more. Now she tells me!!!!
So I will go in search of said dvd and give it a whirl. I have no clue when I will be able to get back on the road and train. Real bummer, I tell ya!
I also MUST get back on track with WW and do what I'm supposed to be there. There's no reason I can't, I've just chosen poorly.

It's okay Danielle. You can do this. Just get back on plan... No looking back.

My vote is for before Thanksgiving. That way, you can at least be unpacked before Christmas!!!

No kidding Cassidy!

Screwy holidays this year for sure. The good thing is I have already started shopping for Christmas so much of that stress is getting taken care of right now. Praise Marty Moose for whoever invented Amazon. I can't wait for Christmas this year, it's gonna be a good one for gifts this year. Our little family has gone through ALOT the last 18 months or so, are finally coming out the other side and I wanted to make sure this season is extra special. Gonna be so fun!!!

Oh girl I hear ya. We have scaled back big time from how we used to do it when the kids were little. This year is more celebratory I guess? Also lots of changes happening with what tradition has been all their lives so trying to make it extra festive. Not having my family around this year for the first time in EVER is going to be hard I'm dreading the awkwardness of it, but I know as years go on it will get easier and we will find our own new traditions.
Just weird knowing you're totally alone and on your own. Sad, really. *sigh*

No.....Don't think of it that way!
Think of opening the presents in bed. hehe.
This past Christmas we had the house to ourselves and I went to our "adult shop" in town and fille DH stocking with "FUN" things for US! A little spiceyness never hurts.
So maybe it's time to get the kids to help you think of a tradition. If you scale back a little, the put away and clean up is easier. I went from a 7' tree to a 4'. Didn't do any decorations except some decorative kitchen towels and stockings kept it simple and then we went to everyone elses house for lunch and dinner.......NO CLEAN UP.

Christina, we do Xmas at home with the kids, but every year for 18 years we have spent the day right after Xmas thru New Years with my family and have done a *2nd Xmas*. It's always been a huge to-do and all my kids know. Thru a ton of stuff that has happened thru the last year, I no longer have contact with my parents or 2 of my sisters. My youngest sister I do, but she is a newlywed living in Texas and won't be home for Xmas either. It's been a long crazy 18 months, and last New Years Eve, the proverbial doody hit the fan and everything went to heck. Learning to be alone, learning that it really is just "us" and I'm okay with it. It's actually quite freeing. Just a bit odd since this is the first year. The kids are busy planning things to do, and I'm quite sure Bryan and I will be left on our own for NYE, which I believe we are going to go to the hotel/casino we went to a few weeks ago. It will be a blast!!!!

Update on the toes: Small piece on one toe came off... Progress!! Hopefully I can get my shoe on by the coming weekend! YES!

I remember you holidays last year and how tough it was. I am thinking this year will be nice for you! Your kids are old enough to understand that you needed to protect your family even if it was from your family!

I love Christina's idea too, except we haven't exactly waited for Christmas to do that. LOL This year has been allllllllll about rebuilding our marriage inside & out and lemme tell ya, we have had alot of fun along the way.

I believe that we will probably do alot of baking. I have NEVER baked with my kids at the holidays in my own home. Can you believe that?? It will be fun, the girls are getting excited. Their Thanksgiving is ruined this year, but they don't seem to mind it one bit. Thank God!!

Amy, yes, you were with me last year and you know the hell I was going through! Thanks friend!

So, trying not to hyperventilate too much upon realizing that I may have totally wasted 2 years of school. I'm changing my goals. The original plan when I started in the Fall of '10, was I was going to do a quick 2 yr program to get certificated in business admin. Needed something to help me with skills career wise because I was going to be newly single and trying to raise 3 kids....

.......FFWD to today, things are SUPER and I'm not single and not raising 3 kids alone.... more importantly I feel that I need to persue what I REALLY want to do and that's something relating to criminal justice. I've been fascinated by it for forever, and then in '09 I was picked for grand jury duty for 4 months. I had the most amazing time and fell even more in love with the idea of working somewhere in the courts or behind the scenes. My original choice for starting school was to make ends meet in a faster fashion, to get out of dead-end jobs and put me in an office environment...well, now I don't wanna do that.

Big changes gonna happen next Fall I guess! I'm going to go for my bachelor's in Criminal Justice, basically starting all over again. Sshhhhhhhhhh, don't tell hubbs, but I am a-okay with that. I told ya, I could be a professional student for always. Kinda weird to be sitting here taking accounting and business english and realize that it's not really gonna help me. Of course, I may decide that I want to work somewhere in a fraud dept doing forensic accounting! I love me some numbers!!!!

You could be asked to decode #'s for criminal embezling......

Holidays are here, I cannot believe it. I dunno about you, but it pretty much pisses me off that I go into the store and there is literally Halloween and Christmas stuff side-by-side. It's freakin October people!!!!
I tell ya what there's a running joke around here about June I ask everyone if they've got their Christmas Shopping done...... It's amazing how fast you can get sick of a holiday, just by walking through a store - it's so commercialized now.

I have been doing Office and Admin work for the last 15 years and now that my son is older I want to get out of the office scene and be more active and make my day mean something. Sometimes you gotta do what your heart feels

I guess better late than never, huh? I could go on with this but I will shut my trap before I get kicked off here.

Bryan is adamant that I do what I truly want and is being very patient. Techinically I would be getting ready to graduate in May and would be on my way to *something*, but it's not in my heart. He also realizes WHY I chose what I did at the time. Crisis mode is over and it's time to reassess. I think HE is overjoyed and thrilled to see me making longterm decisions in terms of us as a couple vs. thinking as a single person. Life can sure change on a dime and leave you dangling out over nothingness. lol But I'm ready I tell ya, bring it on!

Oh, and yeah, I'm nosey enough to be a forensic accountant. Just like I'd be nosey plenty to be a detective.. anyone see a theme here?! Just sayin.....

I am nosey to a fault I think I'm like that little kid always asking, "but why???????"

The nasty joke wasn't *so* nasty really, just K being a silly girl. She was saying how she really liked your idea for Xmas and the naughty stocking etc... and I said I did too but we haven't exactly waited to do stuff like that. Told her that this year has been a year of working on our marriage inside and out and we were having alot of fun along the way. then she had to go and tell me i was being nasty! Can you imagine?! ME???

What I truly truly would love to be when I grow up is a CSI. Absolutely fascinated by all of it. And no, not because I watch CSI on tv and believe everything gets done in an hour. I figure tho that by the time I would get through schooling for that, *I'll* be the one dead so there'd be no point.

He answers and I say where are U? he says Mcdonalds - like it's no big deal "I for got to call you" REALLY? (the school and Mcdonalds are @ 1 hour away from me) I said even if you had called I would've tol you NO any way so ..... he says well can I finish eating first? WTH? I am so pissed abou tthe flippant responses....... I am sorry to jack your thread, but I need your input.
You wait till yours start driving. So 2nite.....I will go out for dinner with my friend ALONE.....and I just cancelled our beach outing to tomorrow as well.

I have little kids so no real world experience with teenagers besides remembering being a rotten one, but before my stay home mom life I did a lot of work with behavior modifications with people with severe behavioral issues. My advice...find whatever it is that will make him the most miserable and do it until he cries Uncle. Might take some thinking to find that one thing, but it is usually there somewhere.

Oh I dread teenagers....
